Bristi since you are in Bangalore try to get connected to some kannada Brahmin family and try and learn their version of rasam which is called saaru. It is our everyday staple dish . It is not available on internet at all . Actually what is available as rasam in Bangalore is not a dish that belongs to kannada families. It is a tamilnadu dish. There are two types of saaru here …one that is cooked by local Brahmins and other type which is cooked by farmer community called Gowda or other sects .. both are very tasty and different than rasam found commonly in restaurants. Each of south India state has its own method of preparing rasam and there are many variations to it .

Rasam karnataka ki dish nahin hai ye to Tamil nadu ki dish hai jo karnataka k honge unhe accha maloom hoga rasam aur rice is very delicious recipe 😋
