The Talon is a very good airbrush for the price, when I bought mine came with the .25, .38, .66 needles, air caps and nozzle, like yours less then $70.
The other great thing is replacement parts are very cheap, compared to other Airbrush’s, I can buy right now a needle, aircap, nozzle as a set, for less then $16.
My cons:
#1 the trigger is like she said, it wonders somewhat, once you get used to it it’s not a big deal.
#2 on the body of the airbrush where the air comes out into the aircap, in only has 1 exit hole, the Iwata has 3 holes in a triangular pattern, I believe that you will get a unbalanced air flow across the opening of the aircap, meaning the top of the aircap may have slightly more airflow VS the bottom, I believe that’s why it really doesn’t like heavy paints.
Overall It’s a very good airbrush at a very reasonable cost, with cheap parts, it likes thinner paints is all!

I've got three Talons (and an Iwata Eclipse) and I had the exact same experience as you with all three (except for the bent needles). Takes a bit of recombobulating out of the box, but they're great once you get them going. Very versatile and a really good buy.
I'm pleased you agree. I don't want it to come across as criticism, although the needle thing is annoying.
I never had a problem with Pasche Airbrushes even when I used them commercially in the past. I dragged mine through my whole film industry career. They make the best airbrush hoses I have ever used as well - tough as nails. In fact, I have one going on thirty years. Thanks for reviewing this airbrush because I was on the fence about it. Great review! I just purchased one of these ($99USD)and expect that it will do all I need. First of all is that it is not an IWATA nor is it supposed to be at that price. I use an IWATA full size HVLP gun ($~$500 in 2009) for automotive body work and it performs flawlessly at 12 to 16 psig, Secondly, another on You Tube did a review and he too noticed a nozzle air leak. Corrected it by putting a very small amount of bees wax on the nozzle threads instead of potentially messing up the air flow with that O ring
beeswax on the threads will allow you to keep the rubber seal and no air will leak.
"poske": it's Norweigian meaning "easter", spelled "påske" ("å" being the replacement for the "doubble aa", same sounding, while "sch" equals "sk")!!! - The founder was Norweigian! 😮
Notice the difference in the needle shape from other brands? The paint flows differently with this brush and at times you have to modify your thinning, depending on the type of paint. You get more paint with less trigger pull due to the needle shape. Your pressure will also differ from other airbrushes. So may people review these without being aware of any of these differences and criticize the airbrush when it's their lack of knowledge that is the issue. And BTW, it IS as good as the $100 Iwatas when you get used to using it.
Thanks for the insight Sam. I never did get on with this one, but I think that airbrushes are a curiously personal tool. A LOT of people love H&S brushes but I can't stand them ...
