His comments on the 'wear strip' (aka binding) is total BS. Without a binding (Warrior Ritual) there is NO wear, therefore no need for a wear strip - it's the strip itself which gets worn down, not the pad! PS. Vaughn is the only 2012 pad with knee rolls that continue over onto the landing surface, ie., poor sliding.
But they have ridges which 'plows' snow while sliding. Brian's, CCM - contemporary pads with knee rolls - all have a one-piece landing strip. Slides better. Also lighter internals.
I still have my v3's and no problems with them at all.
My V4 pads are a hybrid style pad but the sliding surface is next to none.
