We flew our plane to Louisville, KY! ✈️ Toured Old Forester Distillery! 🥃 and ate yummy food 🧀!

We flew our Piper Cherokee 180 from Hickory, NC to Louisville, KY for our first trip ever to Kentucky! The mountain and farm land views from 6,000+ feet up were beautiful! We had a bit of a hiccup when we thought our alternator went out around 20 miles from our destination, but the helpful mechanic crew at Bowman Field helped us figure out it was our regulator. Shout out to these guys for helping us over our long weekend in town. Next up we dropped our luggage at the Hyatt Regency Louisville then jetted over to the Old Forester Distillery for a tour and tasting, such a great time! Since we missed lunch due to the alternator issue, we grabbed some happy hour snacks at Down One on Main Street, so good! After that, we were wiped and took a break until a late dinner at the hotel restaurant, Sway. Overall, a great day! Can’t wait for day two in Louisville!
