The chain needs sharpening (check its is on right way round) its burning rather than neatly cutting its way through, producing smoke & sawdust rather than wood chippings. Should go through that log like hot knife thru butter. Also tension touch too slack. Great restoration job and reassembly.

Well done is a real mechanic and careful of your hands and fingers ,when you soap into the caustic soda and cleaning agents. Thank you for your good job done to recovered the old chainsaw.

I think this was a fairly new chainsaw , it had then been stripped and then thrown in to bush with parts missing. Then some kind of a solution was poured over it to make it look rusted. I also find it impossible for plastic to oxidise and rust. Conveniently towards the end all of the covers were found as well as the stickers
I nelive that a restoration with no broken parts isn't a restoration

Nice clean up and restoration but perhaps a better chain adjustment and sharpening or put the chain on right could help. Even cutting locust trees and iron wood I've had better tooth cutting and lots less chain glide and dance when cutting when the chain dances like that people lose body parts like a teacher I had long ago lost an eye and got a huge scar from above his eye socket down to his chin and chest and part of his arm too. Glad your not hurt from that rediculasly dull chain.

gotta adjust and sharpen that chain - its too loose and blunt- you can see where its scorched the wood when cutting it otherwise fantastic job!
15:30 сюда заливают не какое попало масло, а именно для бензопил, для смазки цепей. Это важно для корректной работы масляного насоса.

И вообще, бензопилу на холодную заводят не так, есть чёткая инструкция на этот счёт.
i know it was a year ago but your chain needed to be sharpened or replaced it was burning thru the cuts. but nice restore you did a good job

9:38 когда чистят карбюратор, прежде всего снаружи, обязательно закрывают все трубки и не снимают крышки, иначе вся грязь окажется внутри.

Good job restoring the motor, but that chain is really dull. It's burning through the wood. A saw that big should cut through a log that small in a few seconds. Also add bar oil.
Yah man I don't think they how to sharpen a chain. They need training. Don't know how to use a chainsaw properly.

chains too slack, way too dull , primer bulb is fucked gonna cause it to run lean and hard to tune, id cut back on the permatex on bearings to avoid it floating around your crank case but meh it runs and kinda rubs through wood

It's always so relieving to see soap-and-water old fashioned cleaning in restoration videos ❣️ Especially for those extra gunky tools and machines!
I know sandblasting and sophisticated parts washers and wasted gasoline cleaning is on trend (cuz "some countries" don't have to worry about fuel prices hiking), but blame us south east Asian "poor people" for choosing to hand scrub dirt and gunk, with, wait-for-it, WATER! 😎💧🧽🧼
But then again, can't really call out the western folks, they don't even believe in using water to wash their poopy asses xD
P.S. Just being mildly racist since every single comment section of every single restoration video, of every single Viet channel, is all about white guys downgrading these hard works 🤷🏻♀️ So I figured, myeh, maybe an Asian girl should get in the game. Again.
