  • Restoration of a large Stihl 051, this model was widely used in cutting down large trees, and still is. It's not easy to find them in good condition as well as parts these days. I was very happy to give new life to this machine that stands out for its power and robustness.

That has got to be the most unique and amazing rebuilding/repair/refurbishing effort I've ever seen on anything. I hope it stays with you for many years to come. Things are only thrown away when you just don't want to put in the efforts to make them work again... Bravo sir, Bravo!

I don’t know what I’m more impressed with the rebuild or the fact he knew how to put 1000 pieces back together. I’d love to have this as a show piece. For sale?!?!

Well actually for most products like this, especially contractor grade tools, plans and blueprints are available, often included with the tool, or even more likely - online.

We only see a part of the video in an edited format.
They have HOURS of video at their disposal to go back and review if they can't remember how it came apart in the first place.

Any piece of equipment with that many repairs tells you at least two things. Someone loved it and it is one heck of well built machinery. Today's crap for the most part can't handle one tumble from the tailgate of a pickup truck.

Man, you can tell how much that saw was loved. It reminds me of my Dad's old Farm Boss, taped up & rigged and still fires up & cuts like no ones business. This restoration was amazing, doesn't even look like the same saw. Great job

I'm impressed for many reasons. First, that was one of the most well-used chainsaws I have ever seen and with the most improvised repairs I have ever seen. Then the masterful repair process was simply amazing. I truly expected the replacement of most of the external components, including the muffler. I was very impressed and will save this to review when working on my own Stihls. Very well done.

I am very impressed with this rebuild. I watch many people on RUclips fix broken items But this is by far the best I have ever seen. Wish I knew how to do work like this. Down below there is a man that stated he knew how to do this work since he was 14 years old. Thats great that his father taught him. . The guy below this one stated he was impressed that he knew how to put back 1000 pieces. To Me this was nothing for the man in this video. Just a cake walk. Great Job Brother.
