Software bugs, they are a fact of life. But the longer they remain undetected, the higher the cost of fixing them... and the higher risk of security vulnerabilities that malicious actors can exploit. In this installment of the Cybersecurity Architecture series, IBM Distinguished Engineer and Adjunct Professor Jeff Crume explains the software bug lifecycle and how it can be better addressed through proactive processes that replace the traditional development/operations "over the wall" approach.

The voice change is very interesting. It reminds me of my undergrad physics project - a voice pattern recognition system. Non the less, there is a great deal of architectural knowledge and a wealth of information provided by Jeff in these videos. Very good work Jeff.
So glad you liked it. The voice change was unintentional. I was getting over a respiratory infection
@@jeffcrume i thought i was hallucinating the voice change 😭
Now I also appreciate how the voice, tones affect learning outcome... I missed your voice here. Hope you're well now 🙂
Thanks so much for enduring the froggy voice and the well wishes. All good now 😊
Great? You are teaching in perfect way. What a nice!
Jeff, as much as your content, we also love Your voice.😀
LOL! Well, I’m hoping that’s a one time thing now that I’ve recovered 😊
@@jeffcrume Have you ever considered making longer, more in depth presentations about this stuff on your own RUclips page? I'm trying to learn via the Good Will Hunting method 🤣
Very insightful, Thanks Jeff
Great video, thank you so much!
What happened to Jeff's voice 😂
LOL! Sorry about that. I was getting over a respiratory infection of some sort, although it sounds like the production guy was just having fun with some audio filters 😂
Gave me the shock of my life as I was going through the series 😭😭😭😂
Exactly my question 🤣🤣
@@Bigchi3fagreed
I prefer the cold voice lol, more friendly
This was so concise and clear with easy to understand visuals. Thank you very much for sharing!
Thank you for saying so!
Great tutorial! Enjoyed learning! When is the Data security and the remaining videos that are part of the series coming out?
Great content.🎉
But the voice change actually affected my learning, the flow got lost 😅
Sorry about that. I had been sick but we were trying to keep to a schedule of dropping a new video each week so I had to roll with the voice I had
superb content and simple but accurate presentation !!!! thank you !!
Thank you for the encouraging feedback!
You should provide a link to the related playlist in the description.
great lecture jeff!! it would be equally effective in jeffs original voice!! loving this series ..
It’s especially weird for me to listen to how I sounded then too 😮
Apache Log4j is a Java-based logging utility originally written by Ceki Gülcü. It is part of the Apache Logging Services, a project of the Apache Software Foundation.
The Security By Design reminds me of the IBM Application System 400 OS, designed that way almost 36/37 years ago, opposite to MS-DOS, Windows 3.x.
Great memories of all those systems!
cool video)
Superlike!!!!
Super thanks!
@@jeffcrume Sir , you made the complex “ Security “ topic so simple. You are a genius professor who deserves a great respect 🙏. I am a big fan of you Sir. Best regards Purshottam from India
wow. the voice change is interesting but I like your original voice in the previous videos.
Thankfully, the old voice is back. I had a respiratory infection at the time
What's the logo on your t-shirt? Super cool. Of course fantastic video!
Search for the video I posted under this user id and you’ll see how we make these and what the story is behind the dog logo … 😊
Great Series, but what happened to your voice? it is different from other videos.
Upper respiratory infection. Ugh … 😊
Did they use an AI on Jeff's voice in this session? It doesn't sound as his original voice
Great session btw
I wasn’t available so they used a deep fake 😂 (OK, the reality is that I was getting over respiratory infection. All good now) 😊
Little confused why they changed the voice. Strange. maybe Jeff had a cold lol. Great series though is helping me cram some content before exam in a few weeks.
Jeff had a cold at the time of this recording.
What happened to the voice change? lol
Is it me or does Jeff sound so different in this one?
Same :(
Yes, sorry for that. Getting over a cold
@@jeffcrume Get well soon 🙏
@@jeffcrume Always great to see your videos. Get well soon ☺
Yes, Jeff's voice sounds different, maybe he put a security layer on his voice to harden it 🤔
I think the bad guys hacked my vocal cords 😂
Am i crazy or did his voice change from the Networking video to this video? lol
Rest easy, you aren’t crazy 😂 I was dealing with an upper respiratory infection but wanted to keep our production schedule of one per week going
With this voice Jeff I feel like I don't know you anymore, please remove this encryption on voice :D jk
I feel like I don’t know me any more either! 😂
@@jeffcrume haha more power to you sir!
His voice tone changed ?
Yeah, I was dealing with a respiratory infection. Nothing serious, but enough to make me sound strange
log4j vulnerability
