Teknetics Delta 4000 Metal Detector Review - Beginner Machine Guide for Metal Detecting

- Опубликовано: 16 янв 2021
- Last year I dug $186.43 in modern coins alone. This doesn't include silver coins, old coins, foreign coins, or coins not made anymore. It also doesn't include all the rings, charms, buttons, buckles, colonial artifacts, or other relics I found; just the modern coins you could roll up and take to the bank, $186.43.
I tell you this because metal detecting might seem like an expensive hobby to get into up front, but it's a hobby that over time can easily pay for itself and then some. But in case you can't afford a $1,000 machine, or a $500 machine, or even a $300 machine; I scoured the internet to track down every machine I can get my hands on that retails for $186.43 or less (okay, I kinda bumped it to $199.99 or less) so I can do a review and go over the features on it so you can see what different machines are out there that each cost less than what an average detectorist can make back in modern coins alone in just one year!
This weeks review will feature the Teknetics "Delta 4000" metal detector and shows everything from an unboxing, assembly, review or all its features, and then some tests so you can hear the sounds, see its depth, and everything else it has to offer to see if it might become your first treasure hunting machine!
Normally this machine retails between $230-$280, but email me for a code to get it for $199 thru Teknetics at:

I really like what your doing, I think you are doing a great service for people looking for an affordable machine. Keep up the good work.
thanks for the great educational video. I bought this model detector about 5 years ago and have always been frustrated with it, only finding things like soda cans, rusty spikes and a tire iron. After watching your video, I have a much better understanding of the settings and how to use the unit properly. I'm ready to dust the detector off and give it another try! Thanks!
Same.
I have been running this machine for the past 4 years ever since i first started metal detecting. I plan to up grade to an at max this year but the delta has been a great beginning machine to start with. I pretty much always run it on 11 for sensitivity and have found many great coins with the including my first and only barber dime.
I've had this machine for a couple years. I love it and I'm glad you did this video.
My first ever silver was with this detector and it was an 1853 seated dime that looked like it was dropped the day it was minted! Stunning condition and still had mint luster.
Another excellent demonstration. Clear and concise explanations. Thanks.
Thanks Quarter Hoarder. This awesome information is very much appreciated by us rookies.
Thank you brother, I always enjoy your videos and this was no exception. I learn a great deal about detecting listening to you and you have a gift for instruction, keep them coming please!
Thanks for the Teknetics Delta 4000 Metal Detector Review. Appreciated!
My first coin was a mercury dime i found on the curve.and my second coin i found i was 6 yrs old it was a 1918 buffalo nickle on the floor of an abandoned old house.ive been hooked on coin hunting my whole life after that
Thanks for the video. I just bought one of these from the pawn shop for $100. I'm planning to head to the beach to try this out.
I went out today for the first time and found a 1980 penny and a 1981 dime and diamond ring. I'm freaken stoked. Thank you for inspiring me.
Ok diamonds were not real but it is real Stirling silver. Cz
Did you use the Delta 4000?
No I have the pro tracker from Costco lol
I learn so much watching your detector reviews. Great content thank you for helping new hobbyist figure out settings and proper techniques. Great videos keep them coming. Oh and Dog tag Doug well done giving a shout out to the beginner hobbyist. Great idea to keep them interested and motivated. Because let’s face it digging up aluminum cans one after another can get a little frustrating.
I had a nice whites a few years ago.. paid 800 used.. I sold it 3yrs ago now want to get back into to detecting again.. thanks for the demo.. I like this one
i had a Delta 4000 for a while. Loved it! Very easy to use coin vacuum. I ended up giving it to a friend of mine who has his detector stolen. He is still using it.
I love what your doing here! Ive watched every episode so far! I'm shopping for a loaner machine. Something to give to a friend or for home owner to use. Keep up the great work!
Another good review on a decent machine. Quality at a reasonable price is a winner. Anybody interested in getting into the hobby would do themselves a favor by watching this series of vids, Jason.
This was my first detector. It loves dimes! Great beginning detector from a well known company.
That is a well priced starting machine with decent parameters. Good review!
Always a great review on many start ups detectors!! 5 year warranty?? WOW!!!
uhmmm thanksgiving ham....two years ago I decided I wanted to try Mding...my budget was $250....that detector, teknetics delta 4000, was going to be my choice, except that two days before I was going to buy, I won a scratch off ticket for $500....so I bought the T2+ package, which came with a pinpointer and digging shovel...I now have a T2se and as far as depth is concerned, it holds its own with any other detector owned by guys I've hunted with....one of those cost four times as much
lol Lucky win on the ticket lol it will take years to get that money back after paying for the detector and getting the original 500$ back but you can not put a price on being outdoors finding cool stuff so lol great investment on your part, how I was able to pay for my first one was with a Violin I found at a yard sale, I paid 15$ for it with the hard case and all, the only thing wrong with it was a small spit in the face of it, which I was able to have repairs for next to nothing and I was also told it was worth money, so I ended up selling it, bought myself a nice DSLR and all the parts and coils to make a detector and a book to better understand metal detector circuits. That was 4 years ago and I'm still hooked on detecting.
Thanks for the information, I won one of these detectors during Christmas and I have found alot of stuff including a great seals army eagle button a couple of weeks ago, the bad thing it I had it set on all metals and didn't dig much because I didn't realize the tones was the same in all metal. Now I hope I do even better.
great review. the delta was my second machine and it paid for itself quickly. one thing i want to mention, the delta 4k is great for canadain coins. i switched up to the equinox and immediatly found my clad count went to almost 0. for canadian coins.
Dude ,I Love these videos "carve it up like a ham" made me LOL keep them coming
Thank you for the video, I just bought it today because of your video .
My current machine and I have been happy with it. I am ready to upgrade but this is good machine for the money, even better when you find one on sale.
Another great review Jason! I wonder, what are you doing with all of these machines that you're reviewing? Would be great to find a way to get these in the hands of some beginners to get them up and running. Keep up the great work, love your channel!
For a budget detector, i would not be ashamed of suggesting a teknetics I almost bought the exact same one when I first started detecting, EDIT: here in Canada The Delta comes in at 320$ CAD a pinpointer is also included which is reasionable.
I run a teknetics patriot myself and love it
Nice job on the explanations
Delta was my first detector ! Fantastic machine ..You wont be sorry . I even like it over my minelab.
Great job showing all the different kinds and prices of beginner machines. Are you going to follow up this series with a high end detector review as well?
Great job!
Seems like a super solid machine.
Enjoying all your reviews and search videos. Could you do a review on the Fisher F22 or do a comparison of the F22 and the Technetics Delta 4000? I haven’t used a metal detector in years. My first was a Bounty Hunter TR500 and then a Garrett Groundhog. Seriously considering starting it up again and would appreciate your comparison. Thanks again.
I know your only doing under $200 right now but after that I would love to see midrange machines.
Good morning my friends, stay safe and have a great, wonderful and blessed week!
So far overall, I like this one the best. Grandboy may have to have one.
Thanks for posting this educational review. I got this for Christmas about 5 years ago. Someone else picked it up and used it before I got a chance. The manual got lost at that time. I'm old school and need a manual to study. I never did find it. Any idea where I could find a manual for this detector? I would like to take it to the field with me so I can learn and have it avail if I need to mess with the settings. book
I like the ones yall use with that number on it. I do like this one just for that number showing up
great videos, Do you have plans to test any of the minelab go find series?
I enjoy your videos. Thank for your reviews. Can you do a review on DrMois detector? I really enjoy watching all the finds. Amazing. I'm just starting. But having fun.
Teknetics is a good brand.
Not a bad detector at all. Great review too.
I have one of these detectors, but I hardly ever use it. It is definitely a nice machine. The only thing I dislike about mine is, it came with a 1/8 " phone jack!
Teknetics are great machines & if I was starting I'd purchase this machine for the money.
THANK YOU for all the great videos - Looking for a unit under $150 on Amazon - Sugestions? I trust your expertise!
Hi what would be the next up better detector from the delta 4000 for beginners? Or should I just buy the 4000. Cabellas has on sale and it comes with pin pointer also and headphones?
I have bounty a bounty hunter quick silver ,it is no good in salt water or the wet sand. So I got a sharp shooter ll because i read it has water proof coil ,but it's still not good in salt water. Can you tell me if there is a inexpensive one I can get that is good for salt water?
You need to try a Landstar metal detector awesome video
A nice machine for the money 👍👍
Just ordered it
What is the best budget detector for beach use please? Thank you
I have a delta 4000 with cors 🎉lab coil and it kicks ass
wondering if jason will be doing whites even tho they sold out to garretts...i heard they still have dist. that still work on them? i have the maroon coin master for under 200.with pin pointer and head phones..i also have the same model only its a tesro.and its a pulse machine..no screen.just dials. its lighter but still need to learn about it..they are also out of business .for quite a few yrs...
i love my had it for 5 years alls works better than all my friends big dollar machines i wish i had one like that water proof and wires less it would be the best make one so i can test for you
Own one of the very first delta 4000's that was manufactured in 2008. It still works very well, however, this machine does not have the A1/A2 modes. Apparently the early deltas did not have this feature yet. It is disappointing that it does not have these modes but for a machine that i paid a hundred bucks for i guess i can't complain too much about it
Great videos.i was thinking of getting this, what's the discount code? Do you have any codes if I go through Amazon?
ty for doing this helps a lot, please show a whites metal detector please.
What’s your thoughts on the Garrett apex?
Nice!
My Delta 4k is my back up machine. I find it very predictable and have found quite a few gold rings with it.
Hi Dan, im out in NB. I just lost my wedding band in freshly mowed grass 2 days ago. What would be a good setting on the Delta 4k to find it? I've had the Delta4k for a few years but never really learn t the settings properly. Thanks
@@robertaaime2121 I would try discrimination mode with a sensitivity setting between 6 and 9. Gold should ring up with a mid tone. Test it out first with another ring before you sart.
Is it good to use at the beach? I live in Northwest Florida and I want to use it at the beach since I'm practically surrounded by beaches
Upgrade to the Gamma 6000. You’ll never regret it. It’s easy my favorite. And I even have an F75. Just easy to use, fast, fun, and powerful. A simple omega.
We like magic mike !
Hi , I want to ask how much like this metal detector?
you need to review this detector Marnur MROG-810
How long does the single 9v battery last?
I'm guessing it is possible to home-build a little lip around the display to cut the glare.
I've had a nine volt in mine for over two years.
I have no problem with the display.
Hi ,How does it compare to the G2 ? all reply's welcome
Awesome
Could you do a review on a PA 3000 metal detector please :)
where do you get a teknetic delta 4000 for 200 bucks cheapest i have seen is 400 doll hairs
Is this your best ranked beginner one so far?
This is a very good machine, but the best under 200$ machine is the Vanquish 340
Good Lil machine for the price
Can you try a device bounty Hunter Land Ranger pro
5:13 Bark tone.
M1ABRAM TANK METAL DETEKTOR IN KURLAND KESSEL
Interesting, when did you become an affiliate for Teknetics
If you are following the guy, you'd know he's testing machines of all brands in the 200 dollar or less range....
@@millenniumdawg no need to get snotty. I will just text Jason directly
@@DigginWithDeej "You thought that was "snotty"?..I was telling you the guy is testing all brands...sheesh lady go to a save place. Didn't mean to hurt your feelings...
So you just stopped stating the depths???
Easy closer to 4 out of 5 IMO... At least a 3.75.... Come on man lol
Yeah it was at least a 4 out of 5..
How can I get a sticker. Great bideo
Teknetics 4000 lowest price about 200 and it goes up to 300 plus, so it's not really an under 200 machine, inexpensive but
over your stated criteria:(
Cheers,
Rik Spector
No I had a tracker 4. And bought it bigger brother.,if you spent that much.,I feel sorry for you.
How can I get a sticker. Great bideo
