Cuando estaba en preparatoria en 2009, teníamos una clase de computación en la que no hacíamos nada más que ver vídeos de RUclips. Mis compas metaleros y yo nos metíamos a ver los vídeos emo de la época y nos daban mucha risa lo agudas que podían ser las voces limpias y sus looks. Hoy por hoy revisito estos videoclips no solo por el factor nostalgia de aquellos años y la moda emo que imperaba, sino para disfrutar de gran música que por siempre podré asociar a aquellos felices días de descubrimientos que forjaron mi carácter e identidad.

Here is a story no one asked for but this band brings me back to high school. 2006 found this band and loved it. Showed this to my little sister when she was about 12 and it became her favorite band and she became a metal head. Well now I’m 31 and she’s 16 and I got her tickets to her first show being Alesana in 2023 with a meet and greet. My first time seeing them too. Crazy.

The nostalgia hits hard with this song. Man, back in the mid/late 2000s, post-hardcore was the moment and I said "was" because most bands from that time watered down their sound or simply split up. Alesana still going strong and I hope they keep making music.
