I started the show with no expectations. But the second the intro theme hit my eyes and ears in that first episode.. I then knew I was witnessing a masterpiece.
I'm 18 episodes deep and I still don't skip the intro. It's so good

The score really sells this show. It’s one of the best characters among a whole lot of really insanely compelling and well-performed characters.
Matthew's acting is mindblowing. Especially when you see the actor differently from the character.
Yes! He’s my favorite of the bunch and that’s saying a lot considering the competition.
I kept wondering where I knew him from but couldn’t place it because his American accent is so spot on. Blew my mind when I realized he was in Ripper Street and is an English actor.

This show literally has no action scenes but the suspense and drama is phenomenal. The acting is top notch!
I would call Shiv fighting Roman while Tom finds them and walks away in the hospital quite the action scene.

I got so used to watching Matthew as Tom that I forgot his Mr.Darcy. His deep, serious voice in this interview surprised me and finally reminded me of Darcy😍
I bet Matthew enjoys playing Tom a lot because Tom is kind of all over the place emotionally and Matthew seems like he has such an even, grounded presence in real life. Tom almost seems like the opposite of Matthew as a person 😆
This last episode in season 4 was THE best acting ever. Kieran Culkin deserves an Emmy ASAP.
I didn't feel comfortable with his scenes until he grew on me in season 4 and BOOM

this show has finally introduced the beast of acting that is matthew macfadyen to the rest of the world
Kieran Culkin looks so much like his character Roman. He’s sitting oddly and his biting his nails like he’s anxious. Also the way he dresses for interviews is spot on with how he dresses for Roman. I feel like he just walked off of set almost. If it weren’t for his rings and bracelets I’d think he’d walked off of set.
the bracelets are actually kinda accurate to roman too. he wears bracelets just like those when he’s working out at the gym in the show

I must say a fair amount of this interview was uncomfortable as well, so I think he was feeling that to an extent hahaha.
@@brandonwhite4992 also, he was uncomfortable because at the beginning he was told he was playing Roman the same as a character he had played before, that was not a nice thing to say! Plus, he doesn't like interviews.
I honestly thought this show was so boring at first and then the witty dialogues hit me and the way the camera just zooms in on something is so magnificent. They have the most absurd dialogues said by all of the adults and to me, this was the game changer. I had to watch all seasons.
Exactly how I felt
the first 5 episodes were genuinely some of the most boring stuff I felt I've ever watched. I was shocked at how much I ended up loving every single season at the end, though I had to put the distractions away and focus to really engage in what was happening
I love that everyone response to each question is basically "well, that's a stupid question"
literally was just scrolling and wondering why none of the othrr comments had noticed how the entire cast seem to hate this man lol

Succession has become one of my absolute 5 tv series. Script is fantastic. Witty lines delivered by terrific actors. Brilliant casting. Successfully delightful to watch!

Somehow I feel, that these people never acted. They just played themselves. Greg. The sarcastic tone by Abbas. Culkin's leg on the chair. Wow. Maybe I am too amazed
That’s the beauty of good casting. The actors barely have to act
Kieran actually acknowledges his behavior of sitting in the Succession Podcast, he explains that he didn’t realized he sat oddly until the directors started to point it out. He describes it as feeling natural to him and not intentionally applying it to Roman. I think he’s the most alike to his character and it amazes me that he probably doesn’t want to flesh out his character but simply think of Roman like an extension of himself.

Getting on this train way too late (just done with season 1) but it's wonderful to see the widespread appreciation for Matthew MacFadyen as Tom!
I've watched a lot of BUILD Series interviews with this interviewer, and I've liked them because of his ability to be entirely unremarkable and fade into the background so his guests take the focus, but this...this was painful.
I don't think it was an issue of being ill-prepared so much as being unadaptable to the cast. Once he was caught off guard, this interview never got back on track, and that happened immediately with the introduction of Hiam Abbass.

Wow so glad someone said this. I’m just watching this cuz its one of the only longer interviews of the entire cast but the interviewer is terrible in this, bad vibes and you can tell he’s actively annoying the people he’s interviewing.

I liked Suits (season 1 and 2), and then I saw Billions and thought it blows it away. How can anything top Billions? (Which is still a good show for me) Enter Succession.

I would really like to know why Jeremy Strong is never a part of these panels? He plays such a central character!
I don’t know, but it might have something to do with him living in Denmark, whereas I think most of the other actors live in America and specifically LA, so it’s easier to gather them for an interview.
Also, Jeremy Strong seems to be quite “Daniel Day-Lewis”-like in his approach to acting. In interviews he seems very philosophical about it and goes all in on his characters. My guess is he (like DDL) needs to live his own life fully, when he’s not acting, and then just have written in his contract to do very little Press.

Not even close, i will sue you!!! But it's a pretty good show, very good acting, very good theme song, and interesting for a show about despicable billionaires (pleonasm) which is not really my cup of tea to begin with. But it's good!

Even with the last season yes! I know it's not a very popular opinion but i don't care.

Horrible comment from the interviewer to Kieran. He actually told him what he answered as a joke. Why the need to make the actors uncomfortable? So uncomfortable for us to watch.

This cast deserved so much more care. This guy was asking them such superficial questions and it's a waste. He was treating the interview as just a job, rather than an exciting opportunity to pick the casts' minds.

honesty I dont feel like the interviewer really GETS the show, its evident in his question choices.....Greg is NOT Moral compass, as its clearly visible in his sneaky ways of being the first few episodes already, they DOnT focus on the media aspect coz its about FAMILY!!! family dynamic, the passing down of traumas!! how it plays out and the hurt passes on!!! watch the show! like really watch please. Also Brian Cox looks clearly annoyed or notices that his answer does NOT land with the interviewer.

OMG, who allowed this interviewer to do this show? The show is so good and the actors are so great that this could have been such a fun group interview to watch yet it was lead so wrongly and became boring. What a disappointment.
I think this host is annoying too, but to those saying he doesn't "get" the show keep in mind that this was filmed before the show even aired. It says May 2018 and the show aired June 2018.

Greg USED go have values. I’m glad he said he *started off* fresh faced. Because after watching him fire over 100 people the last episode with no explanation, I no longer see Greg as the same person as the lanky kid who blew chunks out of a mascots eyeholes in the pilot.

This interviewer… where do I begin… He goes in not knowing how to pronounce the name of one of his guests. The first few questions are long winded and pretentious; he uses them just to show that he knows things, but he’s wrong and the interviewee is like “what?”. He’s like a kid who didn’t do the reading but insists on answering questions in class. When he runs out of pretentious questions, he asks dumb, generic questions; “do you bring yourself to a role?”, and when he runs out of his own generic questions, he lets others ask questions, but it turns out they were gonna ask a generic question that was already asked, so instead of yielding his question to somebody else, he asks another dumb question. Is anybody in charge here? Like, you’ve got 6 famous actors coming to do your show, and you don’t have a host that is prepared? You just put out some chairs and turn on the camera? What a waste of time.

Absolutely terrible interviewer; cannot believe he hasn’t gotten better through the years. The feedback in the comments is clearly being ignored. It’s so painful to watch and most importantly this is a missed opportunity and wasted time with the talent.

Terrible interviewer. A bad start that forces the writer’s fair response “want to try again?” then goes downhill from there. The cast look justifiably awkward and dejected by the experience but handle professionally and manage to spotlight the inane questioners vapidness with some dryness. A missed opportunity...

yeah he had some pretty cringe worthy moments there and parts that seemed to actually offend the cast and writer a bit. When the interviewer asked the writer about a similar tone to "Arrested Development" and he answered "yes I took the while concept and script word for word" 😂🙄 and he also said something about Keirans character in Succession similar to another part played... Keiran replied "yes I only can play one type of character" 😆😆😆
I'm gonna miss this show until next season.
