Stephen won my heart with this one. Glad it was him who interviewed Jeremy.
So proud of our boy for this
It's SO refreshing to see an interview that's an actual interesting conversation and not some fluff piece to garner favor of the audience. His serious nature and distaste of "entertainment" forced Stephen to do a proper interview and the output has actual weight and value. You can't just bullshit your way through a conversation with Jeremy Strong - he's too smart. He brings gravitas without being a jerk. I'm glad he's doing a publicity tour so people can see the truth behind that New Yorker piece.
What a kind, genuine, deeply real soul. I love Jeremy Strong and am inspired by the authenticity and vulnerability he shows. I can’t wait to see more from him for years to come. He truly deserves the success he’s gotten after working his ass off for 25 years and staying true to himself along the way.
Yup ❤️
Good for him, clearly not his "thing". Very genuine.
I'll watch anything and everything I can with Jeremy in it. Bloody brilliant!
Man every time Jeremy speaks I just feel so grateful he's sharing his art with us. I hope he becomes more open to doing talk shows (as long as he's paired with a host with good questions and an open demeanor like Colbert)
Yikes, I just had an image of him on Fallon. Now I won't be able to get to sleep.
@@kkpenney444 I would personally lock Fallon in his dressing room
@@acertainanna 😅
What a great interview. Jeremy is so well read, truly a pleasure listening to him.
Jeremy is an exceptional actor, definitely the best actor of this generation. So charismatic and well spoken too! Future oscar winner!
Can't help but love Jeremy! What an incredibly humble, inteligent and inseghtful person, and also very handsome
That Emily Dickinson poem continues, and it's so amazing. It ends: "The truth must dazzle gradually, or every man be blind."
I love all Jeremy's references in this interview, listening to him speak is very enriching
It's one of my favorites of hers.
Tell all the truth but tell it slant -
Success in Circuit lies
Too bright for our infirm Delight
The Truth's superb surprise
As Lightning to the Children eased
With explanation kind
The Truth must dazzle gradually
Or every man be blind -
Beautiful
one of the best interviews of an actor of all time, he is ocean deep with his love & vision for his craft
Can’t believe this is his first talk show interview like this! Stephen as always did a wonderful job with it, best host by far.
I love listening to Jeremy show a side of acting that's very honest and heartfelt. Stephen quickly became comfortable as well and we got to see that other side to him as well. The artists who really love the art.
One of the best interviews I’ve ever seen - informative, elegant and smart smart smart. Thank you!
Kudos to Stephen & the producers for being accommodating and deciding to basically do a podcast instead of the typical tv show format. Doing otherwise would restrict Jeremy from being himself and best representing the movie (which, as Jeremy said, was his main purpose behind doing this interview). Looks like Jeremy had a great time and it resulted in one of the best talk show interviews I've ever seen.
When Jeremy talks I can feel the wheels and cogs in my head turning squeakily. I love it.
What a fabulous interview. Stephen is a master of his craft. It was like watching guys hanging out, buzzing out on stuff each other is into and really enjoying their conversation.
I now see Jeremy Strong in a completely different light.
I'd love to hear these two chatting about everything and anything for hours 😊
I love jeremy so much.. one of the best actors alive today
Such a lovely down to earth guy. His humble demeanor and thoughtful honesty.. What a great interview.
For the first time a Late Night Talk show felt like a Hollywood Reporter roundtable discussion, only difference being Strong carried it alone. What an actor and what a brilliant person.
I love him as an actor. The calmness and heartbreaking authenticity he brings to his roles. Completely understated. He is such a lovely and patient interview. I loved this. Thank you Stephen! You are one of the best interviewer going today. ❤
Jeremy answers with his whole heart its amazing to watch
Jeremy. Your authenticity is a breath of fresh air. What a kind soul. A perfect match for the improvisational genius of Colbert. Loved this interview. 🤍🤍
His answer to what moment Is Succession meeting is so poignant and I love that he had the balls to be that honest I feel like a lot of people would not give such an unfiltered answer
Extraordinary interview. Thank you, Stephen and thank you Jeremy for sharing yourself.
What a riveting interview! Such a thoughtful and genuine man, and Stephen asked Jeremy just the right questions to allow him to shine.
Such a profoundly-intelligent interview. Any aspiring actor could learn much here. What a gift to witness the exchange between these two brilliant and thoughtful men.
love the comedy monologue, but i wish we'd see more long and serious interviews like this.
he has this gentle charisma, it's really pleasant listening to him talk, wish he did more interviews but glad we have this one.
Jeremy is a perfect person to interview! So insightful
ok now i understand how promotion works bc now I'm gonna see this movie and now I'm a Jeremy strong fan. this interview was immaculate.
For real, I have never even heard of Armageddon time before but now I want to jump into it just from this.
I have to watch this cos this is Jeremy’s first talk show interview, finally!
He was on Corden but we ignore that
Wow I’m shocked to see Jeremy actually do an in-person talk show 😂
I think he’s a great actor and I really liked him in succession. But I also think he’s a lot like his character in succession… First thing I noticed was how he walked out on the stage with his hands in his pocket. His body language screams socially awkward. Is that why he doesn’t do many interviews?
He chose the right talk-show host who would respect the type of person he is, not that he's the award-winning actor of a big hit show.
I came here from a reddit post saying he was awkward in this interview. But he came across as an intelligent, serious, introspective, and genuine person.
I love Jeremy Strong as an actor and a person. Great how Stephen was able to make him comfortable so he could just be himself.
This interview was such a pleasure to watch/listen to... two brilliant, literate, perceptive men with poets' hearts communicating in a deep and thoughtful way. Loved it from start to finish. A nourishing break from the usual late-night fluff.
One of the best actors interview in late night show.... He is kind, intelligent and so charismatic... The way he asks Colbert some questions back like *what do u wanna be if u came back* .... U can tell by his face he genuinely having a conversation and it is not a gimmick to impress the audience
Wow. This is really something. We are so used to the current format of talk shows, with celebrities telling stories that were pre-told to the production and knowing exactly the right time to pause for the crowd to laugh and applause. Then we bump into a guy like Jeremy who actually takes his time to think about the questions and give deep answers. It's awkward and refreshing at the same time.
He's such a passionate nerd who loves his job, he's grateful and doesn't take things for granted. He's not mocking others for their own ways so just let him do his own thing.
JEREMY STRONG THE MAN THAT YOU ARE
He was a very unrated actor for a long time, it's amazing to see him finally find the much deserved recognition.
What a nice, level headed, not who driven man.
