If I buy a ney online, how can I know which hand should be on top? I play my Indian Bansuri with the right hand on the bottom (most far away), but I am right handed?! Thank you again.

Usually in ney, left hand goes on top, right hand goes on bottom (same way with the shakuhachi or similar other flutes)
