Technical question. Why is the Suppression setting BEYOND Full Service brake? On the Acela and one or two others it’s a notched setting at around 66% braking, which seems more sensible. I’m sure Brandon said it should be at around two thirds braking, but most DTG locos place it right next to Emergency.
Depends on the locomotive, EMD based machines have it after Full Service. In reality you only need enough braking to reach the speed in time, if a minimum application will do it, then do that - its just easier to explain it this way and it always works :)
Yeah I get that, but if you watch the video I tried to make a tutorial for, most of the doors don't open no matter what you do. It worked better on stream but not great.
It is possible, its not meant to work that way in TSW. When sets are placed in game their couplers should always be open. I did see the same thing in Clinchfield where someone forgot to do that in setup. Same symptom. You square jaw the thing then physics takes over and the sets roll away from each other as the compression in the draft springs releases.
Additional...... You are my go to.., when it comes to anything like " where is the alerter". So informative, however, it made me laugh when you looked around the outside and said. " ooh, there's a thing" haha. 😂
If you are on a Gen 8 console you won't see any freight, they're not up to the task. Its the trade off schmick detail vs trains when you have low memory. If you're on gen9 or PC then you need Sand Patch Grade, BNSF SD70ACe, Sherman Hill, Horseshoe Curve and Cajon Pass to see freight. This is because the community asked for more variety in the trains so they're made up of content from all of these DLC. There are others that appear to layer in (such as the heritage fleet from HSC) but these are optional.
@@DaveLoves-lo5ce Maybe I should publish the out takes where I've been looking around in the cab trying to find something having found it then promptly forgotten where it is! Glad you like the videos.
@@trainsimulatordriver well, considering I only discovered tsw in about January, I'm close to having all the dlc now after installing Horseshoe and Sherman. Already had the BNSF dlc. I now have freight on Boston commuter. 👍
Think of the "Left Door" and "Right Door" buttons in conductor mode of the perspective of facing towards the platform from inside the vestibule.
Ah that makes a lot of sense, thank you :)
47:34 I remember seeing those people at Flieden on the Kinzigtalbahn
ah ok, thank you - good to know
@@trainsimulatordriver Strangely enough it was the couple, and the man with the case, in the same arrangement as they are here

@@trainsimulatordriver That’s what I do. Thanks.
@@rattyfus8218 you are correct there :)
2:09 Also doors with a key in it don't close. That was the door you left your key in accidentally

Sometimes you have to check that the couplers are unlocked

I have Sandpatch and Cajon pass, but see no freight in my Boston Commuter trains list. Or are they additional DLCs from the respective routes?
