How to Take Apart and Clean a Carburetor | How to Make a Golf Cart Run Better

Today the name of the game is how to take apart and clean a carburetor. If you own a small engine of any type and use fuel with ethanol in it, you will eventually have to clean the carburetor of your small engine equipment to keep it running right. Today I use my 1980's Yamaha 2 cycle golf cart as an example in proper procedure for cleaning a carburetor. With the exception of some small differences, most small engines have a very similar layout in their carburetors. Watch carefully as I show you the steps I've been using to clean carburetors for years to get them back into good operation without costing me much money at all. Next time you get some poorly running small engine, don't be afraid to try cleaning out the carburetor. Worst case scenario, you can't figure out how to do it and/or get the carburetor back into your piece of equipment and you have to pay a small engine mechanic anyways. Why not learn something new by trying it yourself.
