These old OCRemixes really are the best videogame mixes out there.
Oh my god. i played this in a dim room with the ceiling fan on and had the occasional wind pass over me. it was amazing
Think it might surpass thunderstruck in popularity someday
I freaking felt this comment in the deepest parts of my soul. You've resonated with me.
This sounds like a good song for edibles.
I like the way the Brinstar theme from Super Metroid was worked in there; goes very well with it IMO.
Metroid Prime is an incredible game with perfectly intertwined soundtracks - and this remix captures the atmosphere of the Phendrana Drifts so well! Nostalgia!!!
I miss Metroid Prime 1 and 2 for Gamecube. Those games were so much fun, and I played the hell out of them. Everything about those games was a masterpiece in my eyes. The brilliant 3d environments that stayed true to the Metroid lore. Awesome monsters and bosses made me both excited and fearful about what lies beyond that hatchdoor. And the music was the best I've ever heard. Those games are what made my childhood-teenhood. Then I got an Xbox 360. Good upgrade, made plenty of friends. But I still miss the nostalgia of those classics.
zombehnashun There's a 3rd game, you know.
I never played that one because I never owned a Wii or Wii U. The Gamecube was the last Nintendo console I owned other than the handhelds. After all, I can't miss a game if I never played them.
zombehnashun I guess emulators are an option.
This might sound dumb to the modern tech-nerdfolk, but I have no clue what an emulator is. I've heard of it, but I don't know what it is or what it works with. If it is a computer thing then I won't be able to do that since my computer cannot even handle Binding of Isaac Rebirth. Not to mention I have no complex knowledge of computer gaming. I'm strictly a console gamer since that is easier to comprehend.
zombehnashun Well, you can get a Wii for like 50$ (turns out you can even find some for 20$, maybe you could get to 5$ if you dig deeper), but getting a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy might be a bit more pricey. You'd have to settle for a Prime 3 copy on it's own. But just like with Prime 1 & 2, it is worth it.
man i used to listen to this theme when i was little to fall asleep. glad i have an even more "chill" version of it now :)
Gorgeous. Every time the song entered a new phase I smiled.
Wow...Instantly my new favorite remix :')
More Prime remixes!
Awesome mix for one of my favorite games! Thank you so much for investing your time and effort Emunator & Ergosonic. Also thank you Ocremix, I've been following you guys since 2006!!! 14 long years!
just found your channel through Extra Credits and I am in love. Gonna binge your guys channel now. Byeeeee.
I'm adding all of these to a playlist for the next time i drop acid.
I recognize the "inside a leviathan" theme sped up in the background.
+Likhos1 What theme are you talking about? I'd love to know if I included another source in this mix by accident!
One of the best phendrana remixes out there!
Tossing in that Super Metroid bit, lovely
Odd. I put this on my regular work playlist years ago, but I didn't "Like" it yet? Well, about time I fixed that.
Great song for cooling off a panic attack...speaking from experience...
favorite area in the game thank the makers
bliss
This was very soothing.
That's a weird way to spell Phendrana drifts
using the real name will allow more people to find this masterpiece
I am glad I found it at all
Am I the only one mad about [Ice Valley] and not [Phendrana Drifts]
That actually is the name of the actual song I think.
NOPE
This is Wicked.
Smooth.
Verrrry nice!
BEAUTIFUL ^^
I don't think I've found a Metroid Remix that I liked better than the original Metroid music, just because Metroids music has always been perfect. But..this song is the exception for me. Great job!
F O R S E N
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
The snapping doesnt fit, atleast not for me
sorry, but the Metroid Prime soundtrack can't be improved... it's the Prime of melodies striking a perfect balance between melody and atmosphere.
Sorry but this track proves you wrong
When people say "Sorry, but..." and claim an original song can't be improved, they're just missing the point of what we do at OC ReMix. :-) The point is to be different to showcase the flexibility of the original compositions, not be "better" to show up the original composers.
OverClocked ReMix I see.
OverClocked ReMix i have always loved you guys for what you do for just this reason.reason. Im not ever really interested in just another heavy guitar version of an 8-bit beat, i want to hear the depth, the flexibility, the technical and emotional mastery of these classic tunes in all forms.
Or Kengi Yamamoto trying to run from his past?
Extra Credits brought me here. :)
