I'm involuntary-ish celibate for 23 years now (basically my whole life). Before when I was younger I used to be frustrated at this thought but then I came to realize that it is okay to be virgin and that I should not fall into the pressure from society telling me to get laid as a form of acceptance. Now that I accepted where I am in life I've come to terms with it and realize that although it would be nice to experience having a girlfriend/relationship, I do not feel that rush or desperateness anymore for it. My value is not based on the fact that I am virgin, there is more to life to be experienced like travelling and meeting new people etc. I hope more men can stop comparing their value to whether or not they have a girlfriend or had sexual experience.

I felt this. Was getting into relationships just for the sake of not being alone. Hit a period of not being able to get into one and I took it as a sign to work on myself. @@aanghel Essentially a combination of shadow work and psyck-k. Don't know if you heard of either one of these however I do think you might find them interesting. Shadow work is commonly used in meditation to help integrate an aspect of yourself you don't approve of, like a suppressed negative emotion. Psych-k is a useful tool to check whether or not the body and mind are on the same page. But those are just a few things I do on top of keeping my mind and body as healthy as I can. These are just the tools that worked best for me to gain more clarity about myself and my place in this world. Peace.

@@aanghel Essentially a combination of shadow work and psyck-k. Don't know if you heard of either one of these however I do think you might find them interesting. Shadow work is commonly used in meditation to help integrate an aspect of yourself you don't approve of, like a suppressed negative emotion. Psych-k is a useful tool to check whether or not the body and mind are on the same page. But those are just a few things I do on top of keeping my mind and body as healthy as I can. These are just the tools that worked best for me to gain more clarity about myself and my place in this world. Peace.
