Whether intentional or not, this story could fit with many stories of human nature, not just zombie films. John, a mild mannered university professor, had to be brought to the lowest place a man can get to become what Evie needed him to be. But he couldn't keep it. He was weak. Charlie was a man. Not a good man of course. Not what Evie needed or wanted. For the entirety of humanity, this story has played out more times than you might imagine. Lust. A human emotion that has been the destroyer of kings. Deceit. False witness. Covetousness. Dishonorable intentions. This film, Plague, has all the elements of good and evil human nature. There's room for pity and admiration for the characters. Well written and acted.

No need for an apocalyptic situation, because they are almost always more dangerous. I trust most wildlife more than humans. For those of you who think I am cynical, I think _you_ need to read more history, biographies, and psychology.
That was kinda the point of the Romero films. The zombies were a threat that could be easily handled with some intelligence and cooperation, but humans would rather argue and divide.
Masterful storytelling that excavates some of the chief attributes of the human condition: the interplay of love and loyalty with need for safety and protection, the natural balance of male/female roles that result, fear vs. cowardice, self-preservation and self-sacrifice. I loved the pivotal moment when Evie and John are leaning against the barn, and he says something that makes her realize that there is no hope of protection in him, and she symbolically un-entwines her arm from his. And then her final act which summarizes the conflict: his proper role is to protect her, even if he is forced to do so against his will. Just really well told.
I think that the concept was good but some things were poorly executed like why they needed Charles so much like I get johns a cowered but it would have been easier to kill Charles than to have a threat like him around regardless of his wife beeing raped

I agree with you for the most part. The ending was just awful though. They could have both made it out alive would she just get up. I understand that people can make bad decisions in life, (Although it was constant in this movie.) but shooting him and saying "I need you to protect me." was truly frustrating as he was already. He finally "man up" in the end just to get shot for no good reason.
+1 for its unconventional plot and solid acting, -1,000 for its near total lack of zombies, insufferable characters and "missing" fx shots. Overall 5/10.

Even now, I prepare for a SHTF scenario with an escape plan, supplies, weaponry/ammo, radios, first aid kittery, cooking tools/food, ways to make fire, rope, shovel, general tools, tenting. When SHTF hits, all you'll have is what you've put aside.
I can never figure out why cars are always in short supply and breaking down in a zombie apocalypse. If you didn't own one to begin with Go to a car lot and take your pick.
Depends on how long after the collapse. Gas turns to gummy goop if it's left in a gas tank too long (around 3 months, IIRC). If a car sits unused too long (like a year or so without being started), its gaskets and seals go bad. I have the opposite POV: I find it weird that in a lot of post-apocalypse movies people are still chugging around in cars with lots of guns and ammo years after there would be no more gas or bullets to be had. :)

At 16:00 in I know I'd let them have the car and the gun and all the supplies and still have 1000x's better chance of survival by getting rid of the screaming lady.
Movie depicted some intense moments of drama between the living rather than the dead. If you’re into a zombie movie with zombies being annihilated this is not the movie for you, slightly drawn out but storyline that keeps you guessing.
One of the better zombitches movies I've seen. Didn't know how to take the guy Charlie I think his name was. In that kind of situation how do you know who you can trust. Food for thought.
These obscure low budget zombie movies are the best. Most of the hollyweird so-called horror is unwatchable( they always have a group of late twenty year olds pretending to be teenagers acting like 5 year old children) , no where near this good. This movie reminds me of some of the excellent British horror movies of lately.
Everybody thinks they can just turn off their conscience and just kill someone in an apocalypse this movie does a great job on exploring the emotions of fear, doubt, anger.Overall a pretty decent apocalyptic movie.
Survival is survival. When your life is at stake, indulging in your emotions and “conscience” are luxuries that will get you 100% killed. I’m sure that most people will absolutely not be like “ohh poor zombie, please let’s not shoot the obviously infected girl, she’s a person after all so let’s just not do anything and get killed!” When your life is imminently threatened there is no conscience.
Typical self centered woman. It's my way or no way. She wanted him to step up but when he did she turned her back on him. Do you expect him to fight 6 zombies with only 3 shots left. There was no choice but to run. Everyone acts like a hero when they arent in the situation.
it was payback for him not listening the first time & allowing oh dude to take advantage of her sweet lucy......... sweet revenge,,,,,,plus he left her there to die to the bitter end she did the total opposite in the begging and middle of the movie .
I love how everyone thinks ANY sort of Morality will play a role during a zombie Apocalypse will hold true. One persons life is higher up on another throne then another is a ridiculous nonsensicle sentiment. When humanity falls..and survival is at stake, so will all morality. Survival of the fittest @ any cost will be the rule of the day..even amongst couples Prove me wrong!
@@e75channel I imagine her blood stained clothes got herself mistaken for a zombie and shot by the helicopter crew as they circled to get seed to plan a field at a safe zone... I have come to hate every single person shown in the film. All spineless, backstabbing and unrational 🙃
A lot of people don't seem to understand depth and the art of telling a story where not everything is clearly explained or going "BOOM" all the time. A lot of the actions or lackthereof of the characters puzzled me and infuriated me. That provocation means the storytellers did a good job. Evie did a lot of things wrong, but she also waited out of loyalty just to find out her husband is barely a man. When they get attacked, instead of protecting her he tries to shoot himself in the head first. Let her get dragged off and raped and instead of doing what he did too late he crawled around in the dirt and cried like a baby. Then his "redemption" is leaving her behind when the zombies are coming. Not a man at all, but a more realistic portrait of the plague of modern society where men aren't really the protective, loving men they should be, but snowflake crybabies with the women having more stones than them. This is less about zombies and more a frighteningly realistic picture of how watered down and weak the majority of people are. Have the power go out for a day. Iphones and social media turned off. People won't know what to do, how to build a fire, how to change a tire even. I've seen it myself with the threat of hurricanes where I live. People panic and turn into absolute idiots. Again, this movie seems like the intentions were less of a zombie thriller and more of a nod to social commentary. Another point to mention is true storytelling doesn't just give everything away. It leaves things to the imagination and THAT is more often better than anything they could have created to show on screen. It plays into the fear of the unknown and is something rare, but should happen more. I appreciated that aspect of the film. We didn't need to see Evie's rape to understand the emotional and physical pain, as well as the mental anguish of not even having her husband step up to save her. We didn't need to see the zombie in the back of the car. What I imagined was likely far more grotesque than what they would have shown. Overall, not a huge fan of the weak characters and outcome as I like things a bit differently, a bit more optimistic, but it was a well done storyline with the protagonists being unique and not exactly well liked.
John is too wimpifed to survive and deserves to lose everything by letting the one person he'd vowed to protect from the *ssholes that ALWAYS come out in a crisis situation.

So does simp Evie.
Facts, had the urge to jst punch the shit outa him constantly.
John cried and had asthma attacks. He was soo weak. When he gave away his wife I was too threw!
Not bad. Good plot twist at the end. John had it coming..
The only guy I liked was killed first, wonderful movie.
Hahahah yes
Don James lol haha he’s too unfortunate
he was the only hope that they had... eventually he died
Decent movie to pass the time on lunch hour. 👍🏻
This movie demonstrates what Humans really are.
Surprisingly good.
Never bring noisy ppl or the one who easily scream.
I love this movie..👍👍👍
You guys always have the best movies. Keep up the awesome work.i tell all my friends where to find the best movies.much luv
If I click on one more plague movie I’m gonna drive myself cray cray. Can’t help it though 🤣😂
It’s been 16 min and nobody has worse survival instincts than this Evie person
Just awful she is. Just the worst. But only by hair compared to everyone but the hot chick
Legend says that crying girl is still finding survivors... 😎😎😂😂
I enjoyed this great zombie movie! It was about survival. Thank you so much.
Stop screaming the zombies will hear you!
Watched this before and it was really very watchable
I love zombies 🎥 movies since I 👀 seen the first zombie movie back in 1975🙏🙏🙏😎
At 16:00 in I know I'd let them have the car and the gun and all the supplies and still have 1000x's better chance of survival by getting rid of the screaming lady.
damn it, wanted a zombie film, not an apocalypse love drama :/
A zombie movie where you can literally count how many zombies appear in the movie.
This was really great. Started off with the living-dead and ended up with the living, dead!
If you’re reading the comments first and are SUPER picky about movies like me….watch this. It’s great 🤣
Even if it was kinda boring but I enjoyed watching it. Thanks!
Not your top rated zombie movie and better then the last one I watched but hey it was free! Thank you! If your bored it’s worth watching lol
gotta love zombie movies, awesome upload!!
Con esos gritos pone a todos en peligro, los zombis no son sordos 😂😂😂
EXCELLENT movie. I recommend it!
This is a really good movie 🍿 thank you
Movie depicted some intense moments of drama between the living rather than the dead. If you’re into a zombie movie with zombies being annihilated this is not the movie for you, slightly drawn out but storyline that keeps you guessing.
That's the hero she's been waiting for....
One of the better zombitches movies I've seen. Didn't know how to take the guy Charlie I think his name was. In that kind of situation how do you know who you can trust. Food for thought.
If you compare this to the other free B movies this was actually a pretty good movie.
I love watching zombies eat em up in movies 🧟♂️🧟♀️🧟♂️
being an asthmatic in a post apocalyptic world, no chance to survive long.
Give me a break , fighting over a woman in the middle of a apocalypse...a sociopath and a soy boy .
@Jeremy Stillwell All the ones that dont put out. LOL!!!!
@Dana Miller A male that lacks masculine traits or very feminine looking male. Some people say eating too much soy lowers your testosterone.
Bellissimo film, sarcastico e divertente, intelligente, non il solito film di zombie 👍👍👍
And then
I saw the note
"It's 5:00am , Wake up !"
These obscure low budget zombie movies are the best. Most of the hollyweird so-called horror is unwatchable( they always have a group of late twenty year olds pretending to be teenagers acting like 5 year old children) , no where near this good. This movie reminds me of some of the excellent British horror movies of lately.
Albert Smith horror movie not what it use to be .
Albert Smith Well Said🙂
The movie is terrible.
Albert Smith
Just another B post apocalyptic zombie movie. The acting is not to shabby however.
You always have great movie's thanks😂
Everybody thinks they can just turn off their conscience and just kill someone in an apocalypse this movie does a great job on exploring the emotions of fear, doubt, anger.Overall a pretty decent apocalyptic movie.
As a sniper I turned mine off.
Survival is survival. When your life is at stake, indulging in your emotions and “conscience” are luxuries that will get you 100% killed. I’m sure that most people will absolutely not be like “ohh poor zombie, please let’s not shoot the obviously infected girl, she’s a person after all so let’s just not do anything and get killed!”
When your life is imminently threatened there is no conscience.
@@tinsoldier5621just becomes another day at work
A real drama, not some zombie bullshit. Bravo.
Reading some comment first if its a good movie, i love zombie movies
I liked this movie, it's definitely worth a watch, especially if you like post-apocalyptic zombie movies.
she could walk to shoot his husband but not get up wen he was tellin her🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔tf
Survival of the fittest @ any cost will be the rule of the day..even amongst couples
Prove me wrong!
Both husband and wife are pathetic. If I am the producer, i let both die as an ending.
Well, apparently I’m the only one in the world who hasn’t seen this movie yet so here I am August 2023 going to give it a go
Same here
John is too wimpifed to survive and deserves to lose everything by letting the one person he'd vowed to protect from the *ssholes that ALWAYS come out in a crisis situation.
That woman was totally useless - dragging folks down.
Many men are these days. It's pretty pathetic.
