He who dies with the most and best memories is the winner. Love that. Keep making these Bob. Love what you do!
Welcome to the USofA, Maxine. You are doing something in this nation that most of it's natural citizens seem to want to do but never figure out that all you have to do is decide to do it. Congratulations!
A terrific interview. Maxine is such an interesting person. We in the United States often take for granted the vastness and beauty of our country. It is wonderful to hear from someone from a different perspective/country. Great video.
You know Bob, there are lots of us out here sitting in our rockers waiting to die. I would love to travel, but my body won't allow it and I'm completely disabled. So I live my life vicariously by watching others travel. It gives me a mental break from my excruciating 24/7 pain. So please be a little kinder to those of us in our rockers.
Hi Sue. I am sorry to hear that you are unable to join us in our travel for reel, but I love that you are with us on the internet. Thanks for following us and please comment on our ways :-)
If you want to see more of my travel, please join my Facebook Page: MaxiDane on Wheels
Hi Sue, I take care of my son who has Cerebral Palsy. We couldn't live this lifestyle either. Not a choice.
I love how Cody makes himself at home every where he goes 🥰
Sometimes the best decisions we make happen when the worst crap is behind us. Excellent interview Bob! Maxine is inspiring!
🌺Maxine you are amazing.
This is my dream too!...
I'm 63 yrs old, retried and loss my husband from cancer in 1998. I want freedom to explore the 49 states in my Van.
I pray that one day we will meet up and share our life's stories. GOD BLESS YOU, AND KEEP YOU SAFE MY SISTER. FROM WASHINGTON STATE.🌺
Wonderful gal, tour and interview! Got a little chocked up..He who dies with the most memories....
Woke up at 5:00am in the desert this morning to walk the dog and saw a sky full of stars. Can't remember the last time. Dang!
Amazing story! Bob, It must be rewarding for you to have influenced Maxine to take that leap of faith and make this amazing journey!
Welcome to the USA Maxine. You are truely an inspiration to everyone / anyone LIKE ME to do this wonderful nomad life. I SALUTE YOU!!
I wonder how Maxine is handling her healthcare here in the US. Coming from Denmark healthcare here will be a different experience.
Bob Wells!!--ANOTHER GREAT INTERVIEW!!!! GOD Bless Maxine on her New Journey!!😀I am INSPIRED!!!😀👍👍👍👍👍
Contagious optimism!
And lots of courage!
Americans don't appreciate how much freedom they (still) have!
And freedom must be cherished!
Bravo! Maxine!
Well done, Bob!
I completely agree, when you spend time with people from another country, you get a different perspective of how great ours is!
Ditto!
I really like this lady...what a great outlook on life she has!
Right, attitude is everything and she has an amazing one!
Maxine is an absolute gem :) I'm so glad she's met smiling, friendly people and is living her dream! I hope she is well :)
This woman's courage and positivity is truly inspiring! ♡♡♡
It really is. I think she has the most positive attitude of anyone I've ever known!
You are the BEST, Bob. I love how people are drawn to your kindness and accepting way of being. Your channel is the most inspirational on RUclips. Thanks for all that you do and WELCOME TO AMERICA, MAXINE! May your health and Spirit remain strong.

My best wishes to her in the future.
I think that USA and Australia are the the best countries to live this kind of life. She has made the right choice.
thank you both Maxine & Bob, for the time to share.
simply a beautifully interview, she's truly a wonderful woman.
how encouraging her story is.
peace ✌
Welcome, Maxine! Good for you. Brave woman following your dream! You are an inspiration for us slow in taking that leap of faith!
I think Maxine is my new hero. how brave and daring and amazingly positive she is after all her disappointments. I need to get myself together and get out there with you guys!
A very courageous lady.
Excellent interview! Maxine has a wonderfully positive attitude after all she has been through. A very courageous lady to travel so far and make a drastic change in how she lives. I love her RV. The floor plan would be perfect for me. Her happiness is contagious. She would be a joy to visit with! 😀
You are so totally right about all that. I'm lucky to have her as a friend!
very brave woman. she's an inspiration
I love Maxine's spirit of adventure, and I sure hope she has a wonderful time in her new life.
Very nice video Bob, and welcome to the USA Maxine! Bob...please check back with her in a year so we can see some of the mods she has planned for her RV. I love the wood stove idea, and opening up access to the bathroom.
Bob Wells Wow! Good for her! Go Maxine!
Thanks David. I will try to make updates all the way and also let Bob make another video or more on the way. He is sooo god at it :-)
Can't wait to see the wood stove and the bathroom remodel...hope you are having fun!
Bob, do you know and can you reveal Maxine's legal status in the U.S.? Immigration is not easy. I live south of the Danish border and can confirm that the weather is unpleasant most time of the year and camping is very restricted. I've travelled the Western US states two times on motorcycle with a tent and loved it. I admire Maxine for her bold move, would like to do it too in the future.
Thanks, Bob! I had hoped she had already figured out something more long term. In Arizona I met a guy from the Netherlands who was travelling on a 10-year-visa. As long as you can proof that you don't want/need to work in the U.S. and don't need any benefits from the U.S. it should be a bit easier than getting a Greencard. Her disability check will come in handy for proofing that. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Maxine. The Danes are considered the happiest people in Europe, she will be fine!
Impressive woman... and great Video Bob!! Appreciated.
Another powerful and Inspirational interview Bob, thank you. And thank you Maxine for sharing your love of life, a truly brave woman.
One life, that's right. Enjoy it. My best to Maxine. Thanks, Bob.
What a positive attitude, lovely lady. Maxine will bring happiness. Thanks Bob .
Love this interview Bob. Maxine is an upbeat, happy, undefeated woman. Even with pain she does what she must and what she wants. A rebirth, restart....so glad our beautiful U.S. was where she came ro make that restart she needed and wanted. Praise God🙌
Ty Bob and Maxine. Go for that beautiful life Maxine👍
She's inspiring Bob.
Hi Hi Maxine, I'm Danish, came from Danmark in 1970, I was 11 years old, I wish well on your journey!
Love, love, LOVE this video - and all your videos Bob about kick-ass women! Keep up the great work!!! It gives me such inspiration for my own school bus conversion.
Thank you,
🐶
Her English is amazing!!! How wonderful to have her here.
She is a wonderful lady. :)
Brave, adventurous, awesome woman! Your reach Bob is worldwide!
Maxine seems so happy. She's enjoying what many take for granted. The simple pleasures in life. Very happy for her.
Welcome to the USA, Maxine. So glad you're here and praying for you to continue feeling better and better!!! Loved the interview!
What a great lady! She’s so bright and optimistic! Not to mention incredibly brave!
Very nice Maxine! Perfect ! Bob you are becoming an International inspirational RV life guru! I love it!
Great video again Bob, do you know what kind of visa she got and how long she can stay there?

Another great vid Bob Your channel is getting better and better mate Keep the vids coming
Killer Winnebago Maxine! Super envious! That's my major goal but I have some steps along the way to get there. Interesting story to say the least, thank you for sharing. I hope this is correct, God rejse!
Wow Garin, well said and very correct. Tak :-) Hope to meet you out there. Hug
that class c RV is perfect and such great insight from a wonderful lady she went over all the questions someone has new to this lifestyle and dealing with concerns people have and the helpful people she meets on the road.
So Happy for Maxine! She didnt hesitate to ditch everything, move across the Atlantic, start a new life in another country without knowing anyone and some people never travel 50 miles from where they are born! Remarkable ❤❤❤
More power to Maxine in her journey with a newfound health / harmony in life. Truly inspirational displaying yet another positive facet of a nomad life.
Great! Congrats on your new life Maxine!
Wow, fascinating story, Maxine. And thanks to Bob for bringing us her story!
Thanks a lot Bob. Another testimony that comes to boost me, and at this moment I need it so much. I'm still asking if it is really I want, and don't want make a mistake. Sometimes I'm thinking that "freedom" is in your head, and it isnot depending of where you are or how much kilometers you do ...
You see how everything is confused in my head !
As European I agree so much with Maxine with the europan camps, boondocking etc ...
So, one more time, thanks for this interesting video ...
Amazing story! Safe travels Max!
Thanks :-) I am feeling so safe with all the helpful and good people around me. Never alone :-)
Hope to see more of her. I'm watching this three years later. Love her confidence & ideas. Just bam. Take that seat out. Take that sink out. Lol!
What a wonderful additude this women has! Very brave and admire her tremendously.
Great interview and I wish her all the best! She is a lovely soul.
What a great video! Maxine seems so happy, you can tell she made the right choice! The class C works well for her. Hope she has a wonderful adventure! Thanks for sharing Bob!
Chris R. Thanks for your words. I am feeling such a joy. My choice makes me smile :-)
awesome vid!!! Bob, I must say, it is truly a great thing that you have found your (one of your) purpose in life. this particular purpose is not only a joy to you but you have led others to find freedom and joy in this lifestyle!!! the information that you provide the network that you have created... quite a legacy. so grateful for you and all the subjects of your vids!!!
I like that Maxine describes her decision to travel as a rebirth. Love your videos Bob, I myself am still trying to garner the courage for my own rebirth, and I am already living in the USA. Maxine has my respect for her courage, nice choice of RV also.
Hi Tojo2go. Remember that life is a chain of choices and, when you have made one that is right, it is easy to live with :-)
Brave woman with a positive attitude. I hope she’s still out there traveling the west!
My mom is Danish Ive never been to denmark heard nothing but good things about it. Never knew you couldnt boondock there surprising. Ive heard some European countries do not allow boondocking at all. My sisters married to someone famous she just flew back from Tahiti she wanted me to go on cruise with her she says what if something happens and I miss out by not travelling letting fears take over as I stay in my own little town running my business. Im about to buy a used class C like this wonderful lady and go for it like this courageous lady is doing and these videos inspire me and many others to do it. very well done. your videos are gold.
Denmark is very restricted when it comes to wild camping. In some areas the police is looking for illegal overnighters. In most other European countries you can get away with sleeping one night next to the road in your vehicle as long as it doesn't look like you're camping. In Norway, Finland, Sweden and Scotland they have the so called everyman's right that allows wild camping under certain circumstances (number of nights, distance to the next house etc.) but that's more geared to hikers wild camping in tents. I've camped in Death Valley, on the Moki Dugway, next to the Grand Canyon, on the California coastline and many other breathtaking places riding around on a Harley. If you live in the U.S., don't miss out on this incredible opportunity your country offers. Use common sense and there is nothing to fear.
SFSideburns Thank you for your very informative reply I always thought the US was the restrictive country when it comes to RV and Van camping..camping outside of RV parks I mean. now I realize this is not the case. I wonder if Canada is similar.
SFSideburns do you currently travel the US on your motorcyle and tent camp or do you pull a small travel trailer? much respect to you
I've travelled all over California in 2013 and California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada in 2015 on a rental Harley with a tent, starting in San Francisco. I live in Germany. This year I've been to Norway but the weather was atrocious. The main disadvantage of a motorcycle for me is that I always have to leave my stuff exposed when I want to do a day hike. Recently I also broke my left foot at a BMW GS offroad training course and am about to recover. I've never pulled a trailer. Right now I'm looking into something with four wheels. Maybe a Toyota Hilux with a Canopy with a pop-top or roof top tent. A simple van would be nice too but the Euro vans are flimsy and expensive. Gas mileage, low maintenance, offroad-capability and reasonable stealth are more important to me than a fully equipped motorhome. If you're on Instagram you can see some pics of my trips. I'm @surfyans (Jens-Arne) there. I don't know about your overall situation but I'm sure you will be ecstatic when you hit the road. I can't think of a country with more individual freedom and an intact government than the U.S. There may only be failed states in which you can get away with more but that is no comparison.
SFSideburns Hi hope you get better thats awesome that you rented a harley and took that long trip it must of be great memories. many people ride motorcycles across the country yearly here in the U.S. I even met a guy who wrote a regular peddle bike from San Fran to Santa Barbara Im not quite that adventurous yet my situation is I rent at my families home in so california I was taking care of their dog with cancer I nursed her back to health just got back from the vet earlier. I also own a small business from home and goto college online. Im about to buy a used class c motorhome and travel north past bakersfield stay in a rv park..or if not i may boondock..and work my way up travelling to southern oregon..and maybe the coast. Im disabled but Im going for this lifestyle anyways life is too short not to live fully.
Enjoyed Maxine's interview! Thank you for sharing your story Maxine :)

🇺🇸Maxine, thank you for sharing your adventure with us. I am so blessed to see and hear beautiful people from all walks of life taking a moment in time to tell us about their continuing life journeys.
Two thumbs up for you, Maxine! You're a terrific woman! Best wishes for all your endeavors! I truly hope everything works out for you! Take care & stay strong~
This is awesome
Seems like quite many people in the USA are living nomadic life. And you dont even have to feel strangely. Very cool. When I watch even these videos of yours I can definitely say you experience a much more interesting life than most of the people. You meet new people, you can communicate, share ideas. I think many people (I dont say that everybody) would want this type of life. But many are afraid or just getting into that materialistic stuff too much and cannot escape it. I know one relative who told me in the days when he was a student he used to dream with his roommate about buying an rv and traveling around the world, but now he only smiles about the things he used to dream before. He's still young though, but trapped into materialism. I think these type of people that you meet must be really interesting and brave. :)
I hope Maxine is Still RVing&Happy!!&Bob wish ya would do another Video. On Maxine!!A Update would be Awesome!!😇
What a courageous woman, wow, she moved all the way from Denmark. I enjoy seeing the women that are solo nomads. They are really inspirational.
I wish her all the best, she is going to be having a lot of fun!
I love this lady! She is so inspiring. It would have been so easy to curl up in a ball and cry all the time. Well, that's what I have done. But that is why I love these strong and uplifting words from other women.
Maxine is absolutely delightful!!!!
Hello Bob and Maxine,Thank you for sharing.I really enjoy watching videos.Iam hoping in the future to a van to travel. Blessing to you both
I just love her more and more as I watch this! She is so awesome!!!
"I didn't have a mid life crisis, I had a rebirth" - awesome Maxine! Really enjoyed the interview and I loved when she said there were no words to describe the beauty and the vastness of the American desert.
Thank you for being so frank about everything Maxine! It's so helpful and inspiring to hear about your courageous journey! Good luck ahead Madam!
This is great. This video is a great relief because I thought RVing would be a mostly lonely existence. But Bob's message of support from the RV community inspires me immensely.
Love Maxine's attitude. Welcome and enjoy, We hope our paths cross on your journeys.
She is so brave and courageous! I really admire her! Welcome to america!! We are happy to have you!!
This lady is awesome! So creative and resourceful! I want to meet her some day.
The leap of faith, step outside of your zone. GREAT lines of thought.
Good luck to her. She seems to be a very nice person.
Bob is a blessing to so many of us seeking a way to live fully on little $$ but big adventure! I hope to meet many new yet to be friends when I start my nomad life next year!
What an inspiring lady Maxine is!
Bob, I started watching your video's because I was interested in van life and I wanted to see what my option were to live like this. I saw so many people and their amazing mobile homes from rv's, vans, suv's, cargo trailer's and even car's. Its not so much the life they're living or how the set up is in their mobile home, but the attitude and personality is what captured my attention. So many wonderful people out there living happy and comfortable without the constant worries/stress of mortgage, and many other bills on a monthly basis. Thanks for your videos and the wonderful information it has provided so that others out there can find hope, or a better alternative!
I look forward to meeting you one day Bob..I will be one of those nomads you interviewed!
Love your Comment&I want to do this Too!!&Love Maxines Rig!!😇
Aileene Fields - I will remember your name Aileene Fields and hope to meet you one day when we start living this life style! Its going to be wonderful!
@@beccamarie9782 yes that would be Great!!&i will remember you also--!
can we start a fund page for her to help just because she is so awesome and living with a disability sucks so the sooner she can make those changes the better, I don't know how to make one but I would totally donate
Create a GoFundMe page for her?
She is amazing. I hope six years on she is doing great. She reminds me that I am blessed to have been born and raised in the USA.
