Oh, man, what a concentration of talent. A bass player who's obviously a serious student of the instrument and techniques, a drummer with technique and licks coming out his ears, and a keyboardist with tons of chops and great understanding of jazz harmony who also happens to be a killer vocalist. This is the best thing I've seen in quite a while.
Dude mixes up to a like f#5 he's an insane voacaist...and to play the keyboard parts he does while singing is insane. Those pentatonic runs he does are absolutely insane.

Snarky Puppy, Dirty Loops, and The Roots are my top 3 fav bands that can make any song sound amazing, soulful, chords galore and celestial voices to top it off. Amazing musicians.
If, like me you grew up leaning towards BS&T, Earth Wind and Fire and Chicago, check out Leonid and Friends. And you should also listen to any Dave Weckl Band song.
This is waaaaaaay better than Adele's original..... Dirty Loops are roasting this, lifting it up to a jazz stratosphere, no longer a dirge but now super exciting!!! Big L❤VE!!! xxx
As a working composer/performer, I have a great deal of admiration for what these guys have arranged here. While it's a style that won't resonate with many people (due to the technical nature of the chord progressions and playing style) and certainly will be hard for Adele devotees to appreciate, there's no denying the "chops" that these guys have. The singer is spot on with that Al-Jarreau/Stevie Wonder style even while playing piano (though I am sure this video is NOT a live shoot. Nice job!
I am losing it! The arrangements, vocals, bass, track, drummer, melody, chords, keys, R&B, Jazz, soulful, who are these guys! OMG. I cannot stop listening. My blood is singing!
It makes me so happy that having scrolled through 3 pages of the comments, I've only seen one comment on their appearance. Pop videos have mainly comments on the appearance of the artist. Sign of truly amazing musicians!
Soulful, technical, great tone, and a good enough sense of marketing to be comfortable with covering more accessible music in order to get more exposure. This is awesome. Some of the tightest fusion I've heard in a long while.
THE BEST EVER!!!!! EVERY SONG IS SO FRESH! MUSICIANS, ARRANGEMENTS, VOCALS...UNBELIEVABLE! I was waiting for the Coachella festival live feed to start and decided to fill the time with videos and found Dirty Loops. This group would blow away every group at this festival, by far!!!
The amazing thing is that you can hear the musicianship, that's the difference between music and not music. You can hear it in Snarky Puppy, these guys, and other groups I'm sure. Pop stars burn out and get lost, but people like this; their music will live on.
Zachary Greene that’s what you hope, but in reality, statistically a star would Be. Known for longer because have a foundation fans and other jet factors.
They made it possible for music to be like this. They are not just talented but they are really deep in music. it's like they kept sinking and sinking in the ocean and they get to explore the greatest wonders of music.
Pop music isn't a genre IMHO. Such a lazy classification. Bruce and Beatles are Rock. Stevie Wonder was Soul or R&B. Prince and Michael Jackson were almost "genreless" because of how many styles they both went after. Rock, Funk, R&B, Soul, you name it. Calling something Pop music as a genre is dangerous because it ends up being a catch all for music that other people think the masses will like. News flash. Most people don't.
I would recommend looking up the training of people in the "pop" genre. Lady Gaga went to Rochester if I remember and people like John Legend have been playing piano for decades.
The endig is so goddamn awesome! That grove with bass and drums and afterwards vocals in addition. ..... the last part discribes the band in total by the way . :)
Bring your lunch box because these dudes are taking you to school. Thanks to Sweden for having an emphasis on music education. This and Max Martin are the results. It's no coincidence. As Dizzy Gilespie said when he first heard Charlie Parker, he said "that's how music is supposed to sound". These cats are the new be-bopers - taking pop tunes of OUR day and making them their own. 'Bout time!
This gives me goosebumps every time I listen. It's laughable how musically simple and primitive the original song is compared to this beautiful, complex musical masterpiece.

+Neil Holdaway Usually It is 1 or 2 camermen max moving around following different instruments, so the chance of one camerman sitting on one instrument is probably unlikely
Absolutely stunning. Utter class. Just spent my whole evening watching every RUclips clip and bought the album. I have been Loopified. I can't wait for them to come to the UK.
They're musically so interesting and entertaining, but I find this ultimately rather annoying to listen to. Most people (including very talented, experienced musicians) fail to realise the most important thing is the expression of a state of mind or feeling for the listener to relate to or to sublimate. There is something to be said for amazingly talented musicians revelling in the joy and fun of a complex arrangement, but it's sort of beside the point musically speaking. As (sometimes overly) simple as the original song is, it has a grit and a passion that this doesn't, so will remain the famous one.
Pablo Bellinghausen I agree completely. There is nothing wrong with music that's simple as long as it's genuine and meaningful. Sometimes less is more.
Sebastian Alexandre I wouldn't go calling her a lyrical genius. She's not bad by any means, but a genius? I can't agree. Musically, this is the first cover I've heard by DL that is less sonically pleasing than the original.
