F-35s are multi role but not particularly effective at air superiority or bunker busting. Both of these roles are better suited to other aircraft at a fraction of the cost.
They don't. Here's a very simplified scenario. You have 990 drones and 10 fighter jets, it overwhelm your enemy's radar systems. It would force them to activate all their ground radar systems. The fighter jets can then use radar and signal tracking capabilities to take out those ground radar systems. Once the radar is disabled, the fighter jets can target critical infrastructure like airports and highways, preventing the majority of enemy jets from taking off or landing. You don't even need to shoot down any enemy aircraft, the one in the sky will run out of fuel, the one on the ground cannot really take off unless they have vertical takeoff capabilities. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ONE NATIÓN UNDER GOD IN GOD WE TRUST IN JESUSCHRIST NAME AMÉN.
👊🇺🇸👊
It doesn’t feel under God anymore. It feels like we’re under trump.
And just so you know the footage is from Zhuhai air show
I smell a challenge what's 600 drones versus 3 F 35s
Stick to making your cheaply built electric vehicles!!
يا امريكا لا تطغي علينا بغير وجه حق و لا تعتدي علينا و *الله*يزيدك من نعيمه بلا حدود .🧢🧢🦅🦅
He knows the truth and fans hates it 😂
This the guy who claimed his Cyber-Trucks Windows were unbreakable, until he accidentally broke it with a tiny ball. Ooops!
I agree that at the time the F35 got shape, the drones were already getting better and better. I don't understand that my country even ordered a few more when the drones already were successfull.
Lockheed has along storied history of bribery to get contracts and the F-35 is just the latest example.
He doesn't have access to the design to be able to comment on it
Dont underestimate elon, he can build jet fighter that better than f22 or f35 if he want, you need to learn how he build space x rocket
Thing is we need both. You have to have multi strike capabilities.
Funny that Don Jr. just received a position on the advisory board of Unusual Machines, a drone making firm in Fl.
he's actually right, why invest in technology that requires extreme skill with both engineer and pilot to execute while plane size drones can achieve much better.... without the risk of losing a pilot. jet's & drones can both be jammed , it's a matter of getting better at counter measures in shielding.
Drones can be hacked
Saying manned fighters are stupid because drones can do it better.... Isn't that the same argument against building starship? Why do we need to send humans to the moon and mars when drones can do it better??
Imagine thinking the technological marvel that is the F-35, which does have problems, is worse than a tiny drone than can’t fly during high winds
Depends on the engine type, you can convert old fighter jets into drones and they would be as or even more effective/cost effective. When you think of drones, you can only think of DJI's small propeller ones??? You are WAYYYYY behind on drone technology lmao
@ I’m aware that drones aren’t just little quadcopters but my point is that jets are just an engine with wings and they have a lot more utility and robustness than unmanned weapon systems that can be jammed relatively easily
@raccoon9023 That's still fighter jet with extra steps, you would still be using a jet but would then need to gut and retrofit as a drone, not to mention be prepared too lose the whole project if it gets jammed and noone is able to control it manually.
Imagine being so ignorant as to believe 'drone' means "tiny". Just because YOU are ignorant doesn't mean everyone is. Just because YOU have never heard of Northrop doesn't mean they haven't been developing UAVs for over 70 years. Just because YOU think the F-35 is great doesn't make it great. IF you knew anything, you'd know Lockheed has to bribe people and countries to buy their crap. Lockheed has many congress members and generals on the payroll to ensure they get those govt contracts. You're ignorance does not make Elon 'wrong', just proves you're ignorant.
@@raccoon9023 QF-4s used as targets for decades and yet, morons still think a 'drone' is a tiny quad copter. B-17s were radio controlled, used as targets and also how Joe Kennedy was killed, but morons still want to pretend RC aircraft (aka 'drones') are tiny... The ignorance and stupidity, along with the lack of imagination, of the YT comments section is always a great reflection of just how stupid people can be.
Thank you for your honest, educated and knowledgeable answer. Seriously, it's nice to see.
The difference is that a f-35 can most likely be radar detected one small drone like this can do little damage but when it’s in swarms, that’s a completely different story
the chances of the f35 being picked up on radar is pretty slim, even the us military couldnt when they lost one.
also a swarm of drones would be trival to take out
Sooo, when we talk drones, are we still talking delivery drones ??
UAV is future! Any sane same person would agree!!!
Finally someone spoke the truth
Look how much the Leftist want to call Elon Musk a dumbass and how great the F-35 is as a weapon of war.... They will say and do anything no matter how absurd their stance is.
@@bigslinkingcan the drone fly in high winds? Can the drone have morality? Can the drone give you good memories? Can you make good movies out of drones? Can you carry heavier bombs on drones? Can a drone carry a nuclear bomb? Can a drone think?
@@mattstudios740 Bro relax, I linked your options for everyone here or there.... big or small.
can drone carry 1000lbs jdam?
@@handsomemann01 Of course, and you can have a "tranny" on the ground via an eyepad uplink target threw a sniperpod allowing to have eyes on the proper intended intel target in real time. But the point Elon is making is the F-35 deal was not "great and everyone knows it".
To be fair F-35 and F-22 have no track record of success thus far. Shooting down a weather balloon does not count as an air to air kill.
F-35 slipped into Iran which was guarded by s 400s blew up nearly all of their air defenses and left without a single plane lost
"No track record of success" GTFO
Elon has been silent about all the recent drone sightings, I wonder why?
Elon is the only human who can make a train slide on air cushions in vacuum.
I thought that the billionare was just another rich busy body but, hey; the guy got a wonderful brain! This is it!
مسيرة موفقةحفظك الته ورعاك 💚💚💚💚💚🍹🍹🍹🍹👍🏼👍🏼
It’s not even about Musk . Drones are it
Driverless cars...unmanned drones😂🎉❤U rawk dude
🎉Great job sir
Money makes people think they are a lot smarter and an expert authority on everything under the sun.
Look who’s talking! Its like the teapot calling the kettle black 😂
There's the mysterious drone explanation 🛸🛸🛸🛸
I see Elon deployed his most servile drones in this comment section.
Elmo posts a video of decorative Chinese drones which are used for fireworks displays as proof that the most advanced stealth fighter on Earth is obsolete 😒
Those Chinese drones are NOT autonomous: they're controlled by a microcontroller connected to a PC, and they're just moving to fixed offsets. They have no sensors, no on-board compute. They're toys.
Drones are vulnerable to electronic warfare, and drones can't operate in the event of cyber attack, although it will also limit the f35 capabilities
Hes not wrong
Elon->🤡
$1000/ea.vs.$100000000/ea.: idiots?, really?!?
He better listen to the experts and not just himself, after all as Ryan McBeth has mentioned anti-drone technology is advancing as quickly as possible given the new drone threats. So dedicated fighter jets will still have a place in military’s. Though I saw on MegaProjects Channel that propeller aircraft might be making a comeback in military’s.
Yea go ahead this is what you guys wanted right "Change" and that musk is right about everything. Keep putting him as an Idol americans. That's what you get for bringing billionares into politics .
Finally! Someone says what’s so painfully obvious. People are looking to EM and DT as idols
We can have drone domes for defense and F-35s for offense and guys and girls on special teams. War is a multifaceted game. If drones gave you air superiority, the war in Ukraine would have been over by now. Thanks Elon, but i’ll wait until I hear the Joint chief suggest this. Lol
Drones don't have limitations of a jet.
What about the prediator drone?
Drones have more limitations
Anyone noticed the news has been all about division today?
Not just today, goes all the way back to the. Clinton years, I just now realizing it? I Starr wasted time and effort harassing Clinton about sex with an adult intern. Meanwhile Prez-elect paid for sex with a porn star and K Star says what? Epitome of hypocrisy.
No to trumpers
You would be saying no to everyone 😉
@ typical that trumpers can’t understand anything unless they are told how to think! Lol
@@googleuser-rr9wr ah ok 😄👍
Elon: Manned plane bad, embrace drone
U.S.: then make a 5th generation fighter drone
Elon: error code (Son name)
It reminds me of the 2019 movie Angel Has Fallen, a swarm of hundreds of drones were launched carrying suicide bombs to attack the target without any weapons being able to intercept them, if the US could create that in real life, it would be a great success in anti-access and area denial as well as preemptive strikes with almost 90% success rate. inexpensive & no needless sacrifice of life
Would be defeated by a single Growler.
Now Elon is also a military expert.
We are so fooked if he has a hand in national defense
F35 vs. forcefield. Game over, 1up
An-ti Humanity and peace Tech ...Beware of E.M
He just wants to setup Skynet so earth will be destroyed to justify his billions to soon to Mars
If Elon Musk would be a real genius he would be able with the help his super smart Ai Grok and his Starlink to disable all nuclear weapons on the planet today and prevent WW3
Nuclear weapons aren't networked, Starlink wouldn't be able to do anything.
@JP-fq5zj I heard that Grok AI is so smart that is capable of doing the unexpected and unthinkable.
Dude, nuclear weapons are controlled via analog technology, you can’t hack them.
Everything is hackable including Blockchain and Pegasus.
Drones cannot carry big loads, that planes can with guided missile and longer range and cannot be easy jammed.
Drones are good in short distance combat.
and Drones cannot destroy bridge or bunkers, but planes can.
Being ignorant is not a virtue. Quit pursuing it. You really should know what you're talking about before speaking. You want to pretend the QF-4 and XB-47 never existed. You want to pretend things that have been developed over the past 70 years don't exist, to support your idiocy... You really should research just so you can find out how WRONG you are. But, you won't, I can tell.
Of course they are, US built over priced crap!
THIS 100%
I’m not American but I think elon might run for elections someday in the future. He might even help his dream to put man on mars with government funding 🤷♂️
Why send people to Mars when you can just send drones?
@ who knows ask him😆 im worried about finding a job here 🤣
Elon is not an american, he can't become president
Why should we trust Elon when he’s failed to meet every other “man on mars” goalpost and already owns some of the most subsidized companies in the US?
We need people on Mars right now for what? Literally, zero benefit to anyone for anyone to be on Mars now or 4-8 years from now
