    I just finished up my video and I had the copyright that was mentioned in the video and I disputed it, the first one removed the copyright within 4 hours and the other one is still ongoing and I have waited for 2 days, Im scared to upload the video and then the music owner just decides to copyright it and leave it. If he uploads the music to Pixabay and even has a content Id, would it be possible for him to just be greedy and keep the copyright on my video?
    And should I feel save uploading the video while the dispute is going on?

    • @ContentGameTips
      @ContentGameTips  14 дней назад +1

      When you use free music, there are risks involved. One of the risks is that the person who uploaded the music to Pixabay might not be the actual owner, so you might need to use different music. Remember that, just like you create a video and want to earn money from it, the music creator has invested time and money to create it. Therefore, as a free user, you need to have the proper license. It's not greedy to want to make money from your hard work on the creation of the music, especially if someone stole it and uploaded it to Pixabay, or if the owner wants to earn from their creation, and the license on Pixabay allows you to use it but requires payment through Content ID.
      However, sometimes you can use Pixabay music completely free. You just need to upload it to RUclips as unlisted and wait for all copyright claims to clear. If some music isn't approved, and it can take up to 30 days according to RUclips, then you can change it and upload it again without the problematic music. If one claim is removed and another isn't, and you don't want to wait longer before publishing the video, then edit out the problematic music and upload again.

    • @ContentGameTips
      @ContentGameTips  20 дней назад

      If they don't have a Content ID, it could be for many reasons. It might be that the person is just starting and doesn't know how to set up Content ID, but in a year or two, they will, and then you might get a copyright claim. It could also be that this person is stealing it from somewhere else and doesn't even think it's a problem, or they might be very generous and create music for free use. However, as a user of Pixabay, you don't know why this music doesn't have a Content ID, and you are risking yourself if you don't have a license.

    • @ContentGameTips
      @ContentGameTips  Месяц назад

      No, you would not need to do it for each video, just when you get a copyright claim. The way I organize my files is by keeping the license certificate with the same file as the music track I download for the video. This way, if I get a copyright claim, I know immediately which song it was. It's a good idea to organize all your files, so if you get a claim on a video in the future, you can quickly find the license certificate. Once you get used to it, it becomes a very fast process. This is part of the game as a content creator, ensuring you respect other creators' rights. You can watch this video to see how I organize my files when I create videos with music or other content pieces that I download from Envato Elements.

    • @ContentGameTips
      @ContentGameTips  6 месяцев назад

      Yes, you can upload a video and publish it even if you receive a copyright claim. If your channel is monetized in the Partner Program, then you won't earn money for this video until you resolve the copyright claim. If you are trying to get monetized, then it's a good idea to remove all videos that have copyright claims, as sometimes it can prevent you from joining the YPP.
      Regarding the music itself, keep in mind that all of the "free" music you obtain is also in the Content ID system. So when you use this music, you need to have a license for it. All of the free music websites have some solutions for obtaining licenses. Additionally, you should know that these websites do not allow using their music as stand-alone content with stock images or video, without adding any narration or other elements that make your video your own creation. If this is the case, you won't be able to remove the claim from the video, and it could be declined when you submit it, even if you have the license code. The only place that has completely copyright-free music is the RUclips Music Library, which is free to use.

    • @ContentGameTips
      @ContentGameTips  Месяц назад +1

      The best thing to do is to change the music in your video. This is because the music could have been stolen and uploaded to Pixabay, or someone might have a new content ID on it, and you don't have a license for it. If you must use this music, you can try to dispute the claim by providing the URL where you got the music from on Pixabay. If I were dealing with it, I would change the music. You can find instructions on ruclips.net/video/zYijv0gWLFc/видео.html on how to do this without needing to upload your video again.

      You can only add the license after you get a copyright claim. Some websites may ask you to include the license in the video description. Check each website's rules before using their music. When you download music, make sure it has a license. Download the license file with the music right away. This way, even if the creator removes the song later, you still have proof you can use it.

      There are music files on Pixabay that might not have the right licenses. It's risky to use music without knowing you have a license. When you download music, make sure it has a license. Download the license file with the music right away. This way, even if the creator removes the song later, you still have proof you can use it. Personally, I only use music I've paid for to avoid copyright claims on my videos forever.

    • @ContentGameTips
      @ContentGameTips  3 месяца назад

      I agree that some artists do that, while others don't. There are also people who steal others' music and upload it as free on Pixabay. As a user, you have no control over this if it happens to you. This is why I always recommend paying for music from a library to ensure you're covered.

    • @UnrealMichael
      @UnrealMichael 3 месяца назад

      @ContentGameTips You can easily tell if someone will do that by checking if the music has Content ID Registered on it. If it does then it's copyrighted and they're within their rights to copyright claim your video.

    • @ContentGameTips
      @ContentGameTips  3 месяца назад

      If you follow all of the platform's rules, the claim should be removed automatically when you submit the license. However, you should know that even if you find music that currently doesn't have Content ID, it doesn't mean the musician won't add it to such a service in the future. The musician can also remove the music whenever they wish to profit from the music they created. So, you are never completely safe with free libraries.

    If there is more than one music, do I need to add the license for each one separately?

    • @ContentGameTips
      @ContentGameTips  5 месяцев назад

      If there is more than one music track in your video, you will need to add a license for each one separately when disputing a copyright claim. Fortunately, all the music you need to claim will be conveniently listed on the first page when you open the dispute window. So, make sure to select and dispute each music track individually to resolve the copyright claim.
      While not every music track may require disputing, it's a good practice to download the license for each track along with the music file. This way, you have the necessary documentation in case the creator removes the free download option in the future. Without the license, you might be required to pay for the music or remove it from your video, even if this happens years later. Downloading the licenses ensures you have proof of permission to use the music in your videos.

      Some music doesn't have registered through the Content ID system. You can see if they do or not if they have the Content ID icon. So, maybe you found a music track that doesn't have any Content ID, and this is why you don't need a license. If you still get claims on your video, then try to talk to support or change the problematic music track. (I always suggest waiting 24 hours before publishing the video to see if you get a copyright claim, and if you can't remove it, just change the music in the video file.)

    If the copyright is removed from a video that contains long music without narration, can the channel make a profit?

    • @ContentGameTips
      @ContentGameTips  7 месяцев назад

      It is something that is hard for me to know because it all depends on RUclips's decision. If it is stock footage and music that you didn't create, then probably they will consider it as duplicated content, and therefore, they might not monetize the channel. Also, you should know that even if they do approve it, the RPM is very low on this kind of videos.

    • @ReleaseME1
      @ReleaseME1 7 месяцев назад

      thanks for your answer
      but on socialblade I have seen channels making a huge profit. Is this because they post a long video, about 3 hours?

    • @ContentGameTips
      @ContentGameTips  7 месяцев назад

      Remember, this is my opinion based on experience and mostly from my research, so you need to do your research. But for my opinion on Social Blade, it's a website that assumes a lot of things and provides information based on those assumptions. I've watched many RUclipsrs show their analytics with Social Blade, and it was not even close to the real results they had.
      The way I would conduct such research is as follows: Look at the channel about page and check when it was established. If it's more than 2 years old, I would not include it in my research because things were very different 2 years ago. Next, if it's less than 2 years old, and if you have VidIQ (download for free from here - go.contentgametips.com/vidiq) , you can see if someone's channel is monetized. Sometimes, you see ads before the video, but the channel is not monetized, so RUclips collects 100% of the profit. If both of these parameters are right, less than 2 years and monetized, then, check the kind of videos they make; some musicians or filmmakers use RUclips to promote their music or footage. You can see in the description if they direct you to buy their music or if it is music from stock websites. If you find that the videos have original music or original footage, then this channel is not the kind you are intended to create, and therefore, you can't include that in the research. Now for the analytics Go to the "About" section and see how many views they had over the entire time the channel was open. Then, look at the analytics you get from VidIQ; you can see exactly how many views they had this month and the whole history of the channel. If you find they have the same amount of views as the older channel, you have one proof that this might work.
      Repeat this process 10 times. Find 10 channels that are less than 2 years old, that do exactly what you want to do (there are tons of them). See if they are monetized by RUclips, if they use music and video from stock websites or if it original, and if they have enough views each month like the older ones and also enough subscribers. If you find 10 channels like this, you can go with your idea. If not, you can know that this will not work.

    • @ContentGameTips
      @ContentGameTips  5 месяцев назад

      This is a problem when you use free music. The creator can decide at any time that they don't want people using their music for free anymore. If you can't get the license for the video and you receive a claim, then you can change the music in the RUclips editor after the video is published, and add music from the RUclips library. This way, you will not have any problems. Also, for next time, whenever you download free music, make sure to also download the license, because it's possible that in the future, the creator will take down the music. If you have the license, you have proof that you can use this music.

    • @ContentGameTips
      @ContentGameTips  9 месяцев назад

      You can use music from Pixabay and monetize your videos as long as the video content is not primarily about the music, and you include additional content. If your video contains a full track without narration, it might receive a copyright claim that cannot be removed. In this case, you won't earn revenue from the video, but you can still keep it on your RUclips channel. This rules generally apply to any service, whether paid or free, that offers royalty-free music.
