That's a good idea for the trolling motor and the out riggers to looks very safe to go out on the lake and go fishing good deal man keep on fishing tight lines👍😁
Thank you for breaking it down I saw that people used flag pole holders I was not sure how strong they would be . No one went for a boat ride now I see that they will work thank you so much
Nice setup I am yet to use mine, bought it in December 😁. That was exactly what I needed to see. Like the outfitters I plan to do that and stay upright. It gets cold in October and November about time for bow season. Thanks for posting because you can lol that was so funny!
I have the identical canoe, also a 50lb minkota, and looking for outrigger ideas, so I’m totally about to copy this, we will have almost the same boat.
I made almost the exact same system for my 147 old town guide last year except I left the yoke in place and clamped across it easily removable, with a piece of 1-by with the flag pole mounts and crab pot floats attached to the 1-by along with my fish finder mount, since I don't have the seat bracket. I just did not want to add any holes through the canoe. I also used extendable walker/crutch rods and expect them to be very valuable and strong. I was truly happy to see your successful man overboard test and the strength of the rods. I will rewatch this many times. After getting everything done I had two different back surgeries and did not get out so youtube is my only source of fishing for awhile. How are the seats working out for you? Do they not tend to fold up under you as you move around or stand up?Strongly considering that, but after having two back fusions that scares me that I would lose balance sitting back down if they aren't that stable .Great video, you got my subscription.
Thanks for your positive response. I am very happy with these chairs. They’re very comfortable and they don’t seem to move around much but most importantly they give me the ability to change the configuration inside the boat as needed. Sometimes it’s just me and the dogs are using one , sometimes the chair face each other, sometimes they both face forward . I think most importantly for you is that they decreased the weight substantially when lifting it on and off the truck best of luck to you and good luck with your back.
Thanks John. The chairs are regular short ( low to the ground) folding camp chairs.Yes they are very comfortable and provide a number of seating options as well. Not as effective when you need to use the paddles but fantastic when using the motor

"Because he can." I love it brother. Good job.

lovely dog ! lucky you !
Nice work. ! I'm in prosses of doing the same.
I have a similar setup but used all PVC to allow for a little flex.
I have the same outriggers for both my kayaks. great safety tool
very nicely done
How about adding a small solar array for keeping the battery charged ? I like to spend a few hours when I go out and don't care to be 'stranded'.
Crutches. Genius.
Are your floats the polyurethane type? What are their dimensions? What model is the trolling motor?
THIS IS NOW FOR SALE! FULL PACKAGE! I am in Columbus OHIO, $2000 OBO
Humm it is safe ?
Awesome!
So what kind of chairs are those? I have a 15' canoe and those bench seats are a killer, yours look comfortable

How well does it work when caught in a speedboat s wake?
Very good. Solid as a rock. No water inside. I have been through wakes standing up fishing
Where did you get the floaters? I'm testing out styrofoam floaties zip tied on my setup.
wish I could hear you
That is no longer a canoe.... Might just as well get a regular boat that's wide enough and has a transom.
Didn't you watch the video, Mr. Grumpy ?
He likes to carry it on top of his truck. And he needs something light enough to throw up there.
