I have a prefacelift SF,I cut my old set of lights up a while ago, been having trouble finding the right acrylic for the job. The prefacelift tailights are three separate plastic welded pieces so it's a massive bitch to cut out. I'm glad someone else is tackling this project. I'm rigging up diffused LEDs for mine.
I’m making clears rn and this vid is helping a lot. What is that black stuff you have on the edge of the tail lights? I thought it was paint but the texture looks weird
in all its sketchiness, this has to be the most comprehensive tutorial on clears i've ever seen, thank you!
Most definitely should be the first video to pop up rather than the first one i watched at the top 😂
“I’m very confident we will get it done today” 😂
This phrase is a death sentence
😂😂😂
Bro got the best clears tutorial. Finally can follow someone even with a different car 👍🏻

I wish you luck!
Ty for this being so in depth. Helps a lot. Cheers.
Been waiting for something like this!
Amazing tail lights. Great job
Bro you're a legend for filming this, I might even take it on one day myself 🤞
Lights look super dope!
Thank you!
Oven tip really helped I kept breaking the glass thank you
I’m glad it helped!
Only one in the word rn bro for facelift sg tails good shit
Thank you!
I guess I’m gonna be the second SF with clears
I’m making clears rn and this vid is helping a lot. What is that black stuff you have on the edge of the tail lights? I thought it was paint but the texture looks weird
It’s black primer which is what my 2 tone is painted with. It’s not glossy that’s probably why it looks weird
finally someone did it
Finally!
What is the name of this material used to make it?
About how long did you have to leave the sheet in the oven to get it to form?
Not exactly sure on time being so long ago now, but I would check it every minute or so to see if it was getting soft
could look cool if the black painted parts were paint matched
Agreed!
Good tutorial but to bend the lens you should have put it on the old lens and baked it
Tried that method. It melted the oem lense before the acrylic was soft enough to form
Don't forget to ceramic coat them after!
why?
Am I the only one who noticed the taillights had no wiring harness after being installed in the car?
Probably a test fit, they are wired in with led bulbs and the OE harness. works exactly like factory!
howd you do the headlights
Those are factory headlights
How much would you charge to do my tailights I’ll send you $ for material and shipping cost also …
I will not be making any other sets, I’m sorry!
It is just so time consuming and I have no free time!
