- On 27 July 2023, 70 years since the signing of the armistice that brought about an end to military operations in Korea, we were joined by veterans, their descendants and bereaved family members for a special service of Remembrance at Horse Guards Parade in London.
Referred to by many as ‘the Forgotten War’, 60,000 service personnel from across Britain and the Commonwealth saw action from 1950-1953 in Korea, with 1,100 losing their lives.
Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Thank you thank you RBL
Wonderful and very moving.
So proud of you Guy.
Thank you for helping reminding us all to remember a "forgotten" war xx
A welcome memory of a very moving occasion made possible by the wonderful Royal British Legion. From 🎉a very grateful Korea Veteran
Since most Korean Veterans are over
90yrs old (I am one of them) and travel and London accommodation is very expensive why could it not been held some ware more central i.e. the arboretum
Damn I'm neither British or Korean but when they started playing the Korean traditional music towards the end I started tearing up.
Why the music while people were trying to speak, at times they were overcome by it.
Such a shame it couldn't be held in the Abbey again like in 2013
Long life to the British Empire's heroes.
Very sad not a British Korean Veterans Standard to be seen at the Drumhead. Service.
I do not remember this been mention on the news or on tv why ??????? SAME
아름다운 노르웨이 나라 감사합니다
