I rarely ever comment on public videos. But I must say, shame on every single one of these anchors for being so blatantly disrespectful, and to a highly respected and accomplished doctor. I wonder what special interest paid for them to all try to make him look so bad. All of the questions were loaded and he rose above every single one. This man is only trying to help the public, yet people ignorantly can't stop to think critically for a moment. So sad!

Right??? The thing is, if you tell a Cocaine Addict to cut back on their Coke intake, they will literally punch you in the face (I recently found this out) Sugar & carbs in general are far more addictive than even Cocaine and heroin so people do start to get pretty twitchy when you tell them they gotta ditch the fix.

These people are such d*ckheads. Dr. Perlmutter was my neurologist back in 1997. I was 12 years old and in a wheelchair being told by many physicians that I would never walk again. He put me on a treatment plan, and within a weeks time, I was walking again. I have so much respect for this man. I ran into him 20 years later in the Apple store in Naples where we live and he remembered me and my mother. I had no clue he had become so well known or that he even had this book out. He’s my hero and I hope his message falls upon the right ears to help people in need!

I love Dr. David Perlmutter ❤️, I’m Hispanic and I grew up eating 🍽 rice, bread, beans, tortilla, lots of sugar and very little veggies ☹️, I read he’s book and it was a life changing, I’ve lost 40 pounds, I have run 5k, 10k and 15k. I have removed sugar from my life, lower lots of carbs, (I don’t eat any kind of bread 🥖) and I’m eating healthy fats, all the ones that I avoid after having my kids, which I thought those fats, like butter were the reason I gained so much weight (now I enjoy all those good fats) Thanks to Dr. Perlmutter and many others sources that I determined my self to learn from, not only I lost fat from my body but I gained a better life, and hoping also change my kids and husband health for better.

For individuals who were so uneducated about his book, they had a lot of pushback. I'm all for presenting the opposing arguments so he can respond, but the tone taken was really unprofessional for an unbiased news source. I expect more from you CBS. This is an incredibly serious issue.

How much carb intake you can handle without damage pends on your genetic propensity. Get mad, kick and scream but thems the facts.

Most conventional doctors I've dealt with care NOTHING about preventing disease. They don't care about signs you're heading in the wrong direction. They only care when you're too far gone or over a certain level on a blood test.

He possesses a gentle, peaceful quality about him (especially in that most doctors do not have easy lifestyles) -- which to me is usually a sign of good health; i.e. he practices what he preaches and the visual results plus his overall deportment validate his claims. Grains break down into simple sugars which trigger inflammation. Inflammation is a precursor to a good many diseases not the least of which is cancer. Also consider Candida, Leaky Gut Syndrome, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (and the long list of ramifications of each), etc. Do your homework like he has done. 1/2019

I'm not one to ever go to doctors a lot... Which obviously means that I haven't given a few issues a lot of attention. For instance insomnia and migraines, that I struggle with chronically. So last year, when I actually visited a doctor because I was having "problems with my gut" (quite ironically, come to think of it...) - I casually mentioned to him that I have always struggled with migraines and insomnia... After that I have visited a few doctors and specialists, but something that stood out to me was that no one was really interested in helping me solve my problems and yet... they prescribed to me a truck load of anti-depressants, anxiety meds and even bi-polar meds with the intention to prevent migraines and help me sleep... I found it quite strange, seeing that no-one diagnosed me with any of those conditions. I tried a few tablets of each and it made me feel worse than ever and even reduced my sleep. I have now finally reached a point where I cant help but question doctors that don't ask me about my lifestyle choices and my diet and just directly prescribe some meds... ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS ANTI-DEPS! Two years ago, I got the flu. It triggered migraines too. I took so many pills, I think it inflammed my stomach (which I now wonder if it actually came down to having my gut inflammed or unhappy). I had terrible heart burn and couldnt get or keep food in my stomach. I had no bowel movements and I kept on throwing up everything that I tried to eat. I took more pills. I was feeling worse and worse. I didn't go to a doctor though hahaha (like I said, I don't usually visit a doctor for just "anything"). I decided to add an extensive amount of fiber to my diet, to see if that will help AND THAT DID THE TRICK! I was amazed. After three weeks of meds and struggling, all I needed was some oats and dates etc etc etc haha. I was thinking about that a lot recently and decided to start looking at my food as medicine. I am listening to a lot of videos and reading a lot and I have to say... I take someone like Dr David much more serious as a Doctor, than the GPs, neurologists, brain surgeons, etc, that I visited since last year. I'm starting to realise what a big difference lifestyle changes will make and how much sugar I have actually been eating... I've started eating better a week ago and I can only thank people like Dr David, for the research that he has done and that he isn't afraid to make "shocking claims or points or facts" (however people choose to look at it..). To me, it all makes so much more sense now.

Someone just gave me the book so I thought I’d check out the videos he’s done. I agree, the anchors displayed appalling behavior and disrespect toward this New York Times best selling author and physician. I see the same thing in their words that I see from obese people I try to reason with. When people don’t want to change how they eat and don’t want to believe their choices have consequences, this is how they behave.

Research does NOT support eating sugar in ANY amount. In fact, all sweets are bad but sugar is particularly bad. But that's the sugar association's bread and butter so OF COURSE they are going to say sugar is okay.

These host are idiots. His response to sugar with the same response to tobacco had me giggling. Neurological conditions of any can all benefit his advice. I'm an epileptic diagnosed 7 years ago. I take no medications, eat healthy fats, foods that are key to healthy brain health, keep sugar intake low, and try to keep active. You are what you eat, especially when you have a serious condition. Glad he could share his advice even when surrounded by corporate shills.
