  • Ease 4.0 remote - introduced in May 2022 with New Child Lock / Unlock instructions.
Check the back cover of the remote control for instructions
They finally made it easy to unlock! I started the video with the easiest way to unlock, which is to remove all 3 batteries for about 10 seconds.
    View owners manual here: docdro.id/Q9ThISs
Over the years, Sealy has made 3-4 different versions of the Ease base, with different ways to lock/unlock their remote control. Check the back cover of the remote control for instructions. The new Ease 4.0 remote has "Zero-G" on the sticker on the back as part of the instruction to unlock. If you have a different remote control (instructions on the back do not include pushing "Zero-G"), then you will have to follow my other video which has the manual combination of buttons to unlock: Ease 3.0 Unlock instructions: • Unlock your remote - S...
Ease 4.0 has child lock feature
These instructions are for SEALY EASE adjustable bases purchased after April 2022. The back of the remote will have a white sticker with orange trim, and instructions on that sticker will include pushing "Zero-G".
If your remote isn't working, it is probably on Child Lock
    1) Check to make sure the base is still plugged in, and your power supply is getting power (green light)
    2) Push and hold down 2 buttons (Head Down & Zero G) for 6 seconds - the remote light blinks once, and then
    3) Push and hold these 2 buttons (Head Up & Zero G) for 6 seconds, wait for it to blink TWICE.
The remote should now unlock and your base should work!
Check to make sure you aren't on "child lock" before you try re-pairing or reprogramming a remote control. This is an EASY FIX to try to unlock. You will not be able to reprogram your remote if the base is on child lock (you won't get the flashing blue light). You may need to try to lock and unlock a couple of times
FYI - to lock the remote:
Push and hold 2 buttons (Head Up & ZeroG) for 6 seconds, wait for it to blink TWICE.
It is easy to lock it accidentally (you may sit or sleep on the remote, or kids may push buttons).
To reprogram the Ease 4.0 remote
    1) Remove the cover from the remote control (you need access to the white "Pair" button )
    2) Unplug the Base from power and wait 60 seconds
    3) Plug the base back into a working outlet (this starts sending a new signal out for pairing)
    4) Push the white button on the back of the remote, it will start flashing blue. Keep holding it down until it stops flashing.

The fine print was so tiny, thanks for the vid. I was trying to raise head, and foot, at the same time, and locked it accidentally. I unplugged the base, replaced the batteries, and followed your instructions. AOK.

I must have the 3.0 remote. I cannot get a replacement remote paired. Any suggestions? All of the videos I am seeing show how to unlock it but not pair it. One video made it seem super simple but that didn't work for mine. So since your video is the most recent, I thought I would check with you! Thanks so much!

To pair a new remote, remove the back battery cover. You will need to push a clear/white button on the back of the remote in a later step.,
      1. Unplug the base from power for about 1 minute.
      2. will then plug it back into a surge protector or power outlet.
      3. Push the clear/white button located above the battery compartment for about 10-15 sec….it should flash blue and then stop.
After this, is should be paired.
I would try to LOCK & UNLOCK using your original remote control before you try to pair a new one. Just make sure you are using the right instructions.
I would check the back of the remote control for instructions on how to lock/unlock….The child lock “instructions” are defined by the remote control version….so the back of the remote has the specific instructions.
You can try one of the instructions for EASE 3.0 Child Lock
      1) Check to make sure the base is still plugged in
      2) Push and hold down the 2 "DOWN" buttons (Head Down & Foot Down) for 6 seconds - the remote light blinks once, and then
      3) Push and hold the 2 "UP" buttons (Head Up & Foot Up) for 6 seconds, wait for it to blink TWICE.
The remote should now unlock and your base should work!
I have a few different instructions (depends on what the sticker on the back of the remote looks like), if the sticker is white with orange trim, it should list what the instructions are for that remote version. Good luck

@@BlueLADodger Thanks so much! I was finally able to pair the new remote. A combination of your steps and trial and error finally worked. Now to keep my goldendoodle from chewing up this remote. I paid about $70 to replace this one and saw some over $200... kind of crazy, but happy to have it working again. Thanks again for your reply and detailed instructions!

For the most recent Ease base (purchased in the last year or so). If you already tried the child unlock, here are a few more things to try.
You can first try re-programming the remote
      1. Unplug the base from power
      2. Remove the battery cover from the remote control.
      3. Plug in the power cord to your surge protector or outlet
      4. Push and hold the white jelly button on the back of the remote control. Hold down for about 10 seconds. The jelly button should blink, maybe go solid and then turn off. That is how you pair the remote to the base.
If it still doesn’t work, I would call (800) 499-1965 when you are home near the base for troubleshooting help. It probably the power supply or the control box.
