🔥 *Hot tip of the day* The Warming Up buff that teas provide significantly slows down the loss of warmth. Hence it is beneficial to get this buff on full warmth bar. For example, you can wait till the warmth bar depletes to 60% then drink hot reishi/rose hip tea, it will replenish the bar to 100% and give the buff. Other hot drinks replenish only 20%, and hot foods even less, but they all give the same one hour duration Warming Up buff.
With ptarmigans, unlike rabbits, you generally only get one chance with a rock -- after which the rest of the birds will scatter and disappear for a while. The exception to this is with a bow. You can kill ptarmigans (in or out of stealth mode) with a bow, and not have the entire nest scatter afterwards. The trick is to shoot from far enough away (if you are standing), or to shoot from stealth (which requires Archery Level 5). Generally, archery is the only way to get an entire nest of 5 birds in one go.
Don't forget that 55% is now your base chance to start fires. But when you open up the firestarting window to attempt to start one, you can see at the top right what your net % chance is, and you can adjust each of the ingredients to see how making a change affects your net chance. The type of firestarter affects your overall chance, and so does the fuel type (sticks, books, reclaimed wood, cedar, and fir have different qualities -- some are better than others). Your chance at 9:50 was up to 75%. But try experimenting with firestarters and fuel **BEFORE** attempting to light the fire -- to see how the net chance is affected. If you have a magnifying glass, this is also important to try on sunny days *before* lighting a torch -- because you may not actually need to use a match at all!

On Halloween the game should have jumpscares in creepy places like Steam Tunnels 👹
Get rid of or use up noise makers, they take up space.
