    "Andre Galvao is one of the greatest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes of all time, with 6 IBJJF World Championship titles, 10 IBJJF Pan American Championships, and 6 ADCC World Championship titles (4x as the ADCC Super Fight Champion). He received his black belt from Luis “Careca” Dagmar, having also worked extensively with Fernando Terere. Galvão is also a former mixed martial artist, with an MMA record of 5-2-0 before he retired to lead the Atos Jiu-Jitsu Academy's Headquarters in San Diego, California. Today, Atos is considered one of the best jiu-jitsu academies in the world, producing World Champion athletes at all levels, from juvenile and white belt all the way to black belt.

    Love it. Building my repertoire of guard breaks. I am having a very hard time trying to break bigger, stronger guys guards, especially if they have long legs.

    I struggle a LOT more no-gi opening closed guard... :(

      Elbow lock them as they can't grip you then go for the kimura💥

    My partner sweep me when I stood up on both legs. How to avoid the sweep?

      How did he do it? Muscle Sweep? Grabbing both pants? Let us know :)

      Didn’t really see what happened. He must have done a leg sweep and rotated his hips. I think my legs were too close together and I didn’t have a firm base as I stood up.

      I think my head passed his hip line too. I’ll work on Prof Galvao’s instructions again and test it on the mat again.
