he recorded an episode last august , but npr never released it . he has no idea why . #freesminostinydesk or let him do another one .
Damn, everything about homie oozes New Orleans: the way he talks, the jazzy quality of his music, especially the way he attacked the second verse of Misunderstood...too smooth, too powerful
He looks like he is very passionate about his craft. I can see him staying around a long time. Music is fresh and has staying power.
He also wrote for other artist like Neyo before he blew up
Th

Honey & this is just a taste of his talent 😩
@NoStressZone Really? Nah uhn!
@NoStressZone I looked for myself and the picture is still there. But she has her hand on his leg, not sure what families do that, but it looked more intimate than family to me, but idk.
@NoStressZone I'm confused, fill me in
Keep Neo-Soul alive young king!
I wished I discovered Lucky Daye sooner. This is the kind of vibe I want.
I listened to this album literally right after his tour ended. My chest 🥺🥺🥺🥺
I absolutely feel the same way
Yes!!
0:12 Roll Some Mo
5:12 Misunderstood
9:25 Late Night
The guy on the keyboard's looks like hes enjoying himself
Yasss I liiive! If I was playing a chord progression like that I would be enjoying myself too. 😍
Like the time of his life for real
Are yall musicians? If so, then yall understand he's in his happy place 😂
I would too lol
Me too💗💗
I wish some artists would just record an album in this Tiny desk setup. Just the musicians and the singers. No over engineering /production.
This ☝
🙄 Agreed. It sounds SO MUCH BETTER AND CLEARER
Yes. Stripped down. Raw honey. Clean and clear. It flows like water, and I feel it on a spiritual level🌬
Tiny desk versions are always better
Check out Summer Walker's "Clear" EP!
He is so in-sync with his band, the flow. I LOVE his band! This is rare! His voice is pure soul. Im ready for Floods on NPR!!!
Krystal Mccray also love you to much
@@moe_chi I would literally CRY. Cry real tears!! OMG!
Yes wth is floods?!?
I LOVE Floods!
@@moe_chi what is the name of his band ?

OMG, I screamed when I saw Lucky Daye's name and Tiny Desk Concert! I love, love, love me some Lucky Daye!
Who’s still watching?! This is perfect 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
As an aspiring artist, I can’t say enough how much this drives me crazy. The finesse, the emotion and truth behind every word and phrase. Some dream of the money and fame but I dream of creating the SOUND. I want to achieve this greatness. Shout out to all my fellow aspiring artists watching and being inspired. May your journey be fruitful and fulfilling
I too dream of creating the sound...
Few times have I seen someone articulate my thoughts so precisely. God bless bro, I sincerely hope we both achieve what we want!
Wishing you the best. Sounds like you're focused on the right things.
You can hear the heart of New Orleans in his voice ❤️
Misunderstood takes me there
Who Dat Nation!
IT FINALLY GOT UPLOADED WHOOOOO.
Can't wait to see everyone catch on now; this dude is a treasure
“It’s nice to be here, thank y’all for having me” 🥺🥺🥺
The band is fire 🔥🔥 & the horns 🔥
I just imagined a smooth like velvet duet with Miguel. Ear heaven.
Yo, could you imagine that. Lucky daye should definitely be up for a Grammy with rnb album of the year 2020. Then imagine him and Miguel performing together at the Grammys
@@richsage3235 Yeah, man, That'd be epic. Lucky Daye is a great artist, definitely worth discovering.
One of my favourite parts of this concert is 3:45, when the drummer indicates to the keys player that "I got you" ... The whole concert put me on to Lucky Daye's music. Thank you for always putting me on, NPR.
Also, congrats to Lucky Daye on the Grammy Nominations.
ARThist I keep replaying that part after you pointed that out. That’s such a pure moment, seeing them smiling ear to ear
My favorite part too
Surreal moment....its crazy cause the keyboard player is a great drummer as well.
Special moment. . . . . Loved it!!! 😁
That's that communication that all us musicians should have! Especially if it's a case where one person doesn't always play with that particular band and maybe was brought in on short notice where the proper rehearsals couldn't get done
I was praying he’d sing “ I love you too much “ lol either way this was amazing, I officially have a crush on him 🥰😂
Zhaquice Hendrix saaame! But I feel
like he would have cried right there and then if he had
He sung it already on NPR guys. He had an NPR appearance with Rafael Saadiq where he sung Call and Love You Too Much towards the end of the video. I just saw it yesterday, look it up. It sounded amazing.
Yes it’s my fave
Kei W. Yes I watched that one too.
Totally agree!❤
Dude charismatic af lol. Shy people always have the most charisma for some reason.
he's shy?
TOTALLY TOTALLY UNDERSTOOD...😎
