@LewhaMusic whille building a beat its way more beneficial for me to just delete the notes rather than just mute them. I mean if i want a sequence without hihats I copy the sequence and remove the hihats. Super simple and quick. What is the point of keeping midi on the grid if you are just going to have it muted? Having a work flow that is dependent on track mutes sounds extremely cluttered and is not it for me.
@LewhaMusicnot really destructive when the same notes are usually easily accessible in another sequence. I can always copy the notes from 1 sequence to another. I use song mode and have zero issues with with not using track mutes. I make my sequences the way I like them then string them together in song mode. Convert song to its own sequence maybe edit it a little in grid view or arrangement then add vocals. I saw his videos his workflow does not really interest me much. If you learn the machine in and out there are so many ways to achieve the same goal especially with the newer mpcs. Also pretty positive they will implement track mutes back into 3.0 in its final release. If they dont then just dont update or find a new piece of gear that suits your needs better. You have to remember its in very early stages of the beta and they are not going to be able to make everyone happy.
@errliest it’s all geared towards live performance I can’t go into a screen like that. The trackmutes are the easiest way to mute tracks in real time .I’m hopeful after a lot of people commenting that they are going to fix these issues. I’ve tried the grid editor it’s cool it never fit with what I’m doing
Thank god it's just a beta version
I hope the real version doesn’t have these issues. That would be a huge bummer
@@MPCandGuitar there’s no reason why these issues will be in the official release. WE ARE THE BETA TESTERS
@lextron-audio hopefully they see this or someone else does a similar video.
@@MPCandGuitar there’s a feedback form they want us to fill and send them
@@lextron-audio I’ll have to look into that now. thanks for the info
Yet another reason I'll just wait for the actual release!LOL
Yup. I had to try it to see. It’s not there yet. Hopefully they’ll nail it and make it better

Delete note instead of using mutes

The oldest mpcs have this function. I’ve never used the grid editor nor will I use the linear arranger. Everyone is different.
