Got the 4311 trigger in my 48 when it came out. I have never been happier with an aftermarket Glock trigger. It immediately put a smile on my face with the first dry fire. Have put about 300 rounds through it with no issue's. I now enjoy shooting and carrying it. The stock trigger was so bad I was going to sell it. I was running the S15 mags and had issue's. I sent them back to Shield arms and they said they didn't have "any" issues. They went ahead and replaced the springs but I still had issues. I switched over to the micro dagger mags and have not had one issue with them and got to keep my polymer mag release. Your channel is becoming a new favorite. Keep up the great work.
He's correct about the Shadow Systems frames being the best out there, which is why I placed my blk C-1 slide on my Foundation CR920X frame and put the SS slide on my grey Micro Dagger frame.
The mag design PSA came up with is pretty genius. If you’re going to a mag ban state you can just grab some 43x mags without having to change the mag catch
@@jdwar11 that’s a nice fantasy you have there. I’d have to leave the whole country because the vast majority of states have unconstitutional laws on the books. If it’s not magazine capacity restrictions it’s punishing people critical of Israel. Welcome to reality
Just bought C1 slide and frame separate only because I got an extra mag in the deal for same price as a complete gun. I put a TruGlo RDS on mine and runs like a top. Trigger is fine for its purpose as an edc. Carrying it now as edc but still like my P365XL better. I have a Girsan P35 PI LW and call it a Stacato rival (I said it) and will probably switch back to that in a couple months.
I bought the C-1 comp slide by itself and put it on my Glock 43X using the Glock barrel and recoil spring guide assembly. It took ALL the snappiness out of the original 43X and I dare say it evens shoots softer than my Sig P365 Macro Comp. Ive put about 375 rounds through it and only had one malfunction (light primer strike). The C-1 slide also allows direct mounting of the Holosun 507K without a plate gives a lower third co witness with standard Ameriglo sights. It’s in the EDC rotation now.
I'm literally watching the 100k livestream when Matt PSA popped into the chat and then you drop this banger lol... time to pause the livestream and check this bad boy out. 😎
I love my sniper green Micro Dagger C-1, I went budget on the dot and got a Viridian RFX-11. I might get a Holosun later like I have on my M&P 2.0 compact. So far a great shooting pistol with no malfunctions! PSA is stepping up their game, I also have a PSA freedom upper on my AR with a Primary Arms 1-6 acss reticle.
I got a c-1 and frame separate. Issues I've had is mags are super tough to get 15 in to. After some break in I can get 14, but tend to keep them at 13, because I've had issues with fully loaded mags about 2-3 rounds in. I hate hinge triggers, but the one on the dagger is pretty good. Swapped out the shoe though. Got a couple +2 mag extenders to be able to get 15 in, but can get 16 now and the mags are still newish, so I have no doubt after a dozen cycles they'll be fine. Biggest problem I had was the slide stop wouldn't retain the trigger pin 100% of the time. Swapped for a captured g43x slide stop which is a little thicker and and it sits tighter in the trigger pins groove and holds it no problem. Overall I plan to replace the firing pin with an oem g43x one just because some people have reported issues with psa dagger firing pins. Overall it shoots well, comp works, grip is good enough for me, and runs reliable now that I've sorted some of the kinks out.
Nice review I bought one with the 407K combo and carry slide. I have to say my slide is super tight. You are 100% correct something on mine is way off to the point where I was getting pissed off when I was shooting it. I did install a Johnny Glocks trigger assembly and something feels off.
Very nice review. Makes me wanna try it out since i do have shadow systems guns. sometimes i go rent a pistol..or buy one...and then i just go back to the cr920. having 2 p365s and a cz p10s, i shoot them together and i just can't help it. something about that frame just makes me go back to it. (both the 365s have mischief machine's commander style grips one 10rd length and one 12rd length.)
I also zero my dot first, then slave the sights to the dot for windage. Elevation will just be whatever it is with drift adjustable sights. You probably understand this Brett. That group on the B roll you showed while talking about the sight issue probably wouldn't need that much adjustment. May be a machine tolerance when the internal slide features are machined vs the external features? Or possibly the notch in the rear sight is a little off to one side? I'm not a machinist, I'm just a farmer who has forced a lot of parts to fit together over the years.
My C1 mico the iron sight was so unbelievably off no adjustment worked. I wasn't until I got a red dot could you build some confidence in it. It's more of a backup still since I'm not confident in it yet.
Love my c1 micro dagger. Have the c1 slide on a Sct 43 frame. Also have a 43x with Herrington arms comp and 4311 trigger. So far c-1 has been more reliable with all kinds of ammo. Hoping dpm spring will help the 43x with lower pressure ammo.

I know you are extremely busy with creating content and answering your comments but I hope maybe you have the time to respond back on a suggestion as well a couple of questions. I have rented the Stacatto XC 4 times and certainly concur that it is without a doubt one of the most enjoyable guns to shoot on the market for sure (keep in mind i have Wilson Combat's so I know what a custom gun should shoot like!!) My last trip to the range, I rented the Stacatto XC again along with the Sig Sauer P226 X5 Legion - I have owned the original P226 Legion for several years now and wanted to see if the new X5 would live up to the hype! As I was shooting both guns one after the other, I just couldn't believe how the X5 Legion was shooting just almost as well as the XC Stacatto does at less than 1/2 the price, blew my mind as it certainly lived up to the hype, wasn't expecting that performance to be honest. Great review as always! Great to see what PSA is doing! It's hard to not want to support them. Plus USA made you can't argue with that. Finished Countdown to Dawn a little while ago and can't wait for you to get a full length novel out there! Would it be based in the same universe, or are you doing something totally different? Also Luden and his cousin are my favorites lol.
Glad you enjoyed the review 😎👍 And I’m so glad you enjoyed Countdown to Dawn! I’m super proud of it 🙌 The novel does take place in the same universe (implied, at least) but in a different part of the U.S. following a completely different story line. Heavily inspired by the “tournament arcs” of 90s manga/anime 😂👍
Subbed! Love the content so far. Curious how you would review the Walther PDP Pro 4.6”, with a Parker Mountain Machine Flat Faced Comp on a PDP 5” frame so it fits all PDP 5” holsters. I would even be willing to send you mine! I have never shot a 1911 and curious to how the trigger stacks up.
Welcome to the channel! 👋 I’ve been running a PDP with the Herrington Arms comp and it’s been fine. Not my first choice for a pistol, but the trigger is undeniably incredible 👍 Nothing can compare to a 1911/2011 trigger though.
@@CBrown42991 S&W M&P 2.0 w/ Apex trigger and Apex barrel, Glock 45 with a Radian Ramjet Afterburner, Beretta M9A4, Walther PDP, HK VP9 would probably be my top picks in that price range 👍
Thanks for the review. The sig/glock combo made this configuration appealing to me as well. Mine had been solid other than the trigger pin was a tad lose but jiggled it around and it locked up for around 500ish rounds so far. It shoots pretty well for the small stature I'm pleased. Is the 4311 fully drop in aside from the plunger you kept stock and did you use it for the full 1k review? Look forward to that LTT PX4 review guessing it will be a banger! Hope the 4Runner is epic be well.
Thanks for sharing your experience 👍 Put 100 through the stock trigger and 900 through the 4311. Fully drop in other than the plunger, but the trigger return spring is different on the dagger micro (and a little more annoying) than a 43x. Can’t wait to share my thoughts on the PX4 👍 And yeah, the 4Runner is great. Just slapped new rims/tires on it and I’ll be installing running boards this weekend. Very happy with it 😅
@@NightwoodGuns Awesome if it comes back in stock might try the 4311. Nice that PX4 with the comp (I see they have a version that doesn't need a light as well) worked over by Earnest looks amazing it's on the list for sure! Oh nice get after the mods sweet 👌
Despite the quirks, PSA is punching way above its price bracket with this one. With high value options like this available, I just can't comprehend how SCCY and FMK are still around... 😬
Hey Nightwood, another awesome review! Congrats on the 100,000 accomplishment! Really respect your opinion so I would like to hear your thoughts on if you're gonna spend your own money on a Glock Clone, is Shadow System the best thing going or would you just buy a Glock and customize it similar to a Shadow System? I notice the Shadow System DR 920L is everything I would want in a Glock 34. With the removable back straps, I wouldn't have to get the Glock Hump cut off during stippling and I would have the exact feel I'm looking for. Thank you!!!!!
Personally, I’d get a Glock and mod it. But it sounds like Shadow Systems is exactly what you are looking for. I’d likely recommend that for you. Just be aware that there’s a chance it may need to break-in or be sent back to the factory in the beginning. But once it’s running, it’s good to go. 😎👍
I recently got my hands on a Glock Performance Trigger and paired it with an NP3 coated minus connector. 2.9lb trigger pull. With a train with purpose trigger shoe. P E A K 😮💨 great review per usual bro 🫡
My standard Dagger micro is nothing but problems. 200 rounds and now it can't run a full mag. It doesn't Eject the empty case and feeds the next round.
Nice review Is there a noticeable performance gain using a full size dot (like the SRO) compared to smaller window dots (like ones that fit on the dagger micro)? Is it quantifiable in any way - are you able to run drills, say, 10% faster with a bigger window dot, all else being equal? How much more effort is it to use a smaller window dot compared to a full size dot - say, 50% more effort? Or after lots and lots of practice, maybe only 10% more effort or maybe nothing at all? Thank you sir
Hard to answer because it’s so subjective. I wouldn’t say it’s faster, but it’s definitely easier and gives you a margin for error on presentation and under recoil. There’s a reason competitive shooters aren’t picking the EPS Carry. A bigger window may be a small advantage, but I’ll take any advantage I can get. I shoot both very well, but I’ll take the full size dot when I can 👍
Handled one today did a short Vid Brett NICE I want to T&E one now @MattPSA This is the stuff Glock SHOULD be doing. Matt besides YT I do Armed Security stuff...If I get a certain new job that issues G19s I need something like this off duty etc.
Any FTFs? I have had issues from Day 1. FLF every 250 rounds or so. I thought it was the optic set screw contacting the extractor spring, but it is not.
No malfunctions through 1k for me. Again, I’m a sample of one and it was sent to me by PSA. Thanks for sharing your experience 👍 Have you reached out to PSA?
@@NightwoodGuns Not yet. The tension on the extractor seems a little light to me, so I think I will try replacing it with an OEM Glock extractor plunger first, run another 1000 rounds through it before escalating it further. Thanks for the reply! BTW... Got me the TAC PRO 4.25 this afternoon!
Hey man, new subscriber love your work. Would you attribute any of the reliability to the DPM spring you added, or did you run the 1k rounds on the factory spring?
Hey, welcome to the channel! I split the round count between the two. No issues either way 😎👍 I should have been clear about that in the vid 😅 Good question!
@@NightwoodGuns thanks man, I've been binge watching your videos (even the ones I didn't originally think I cared about lol) because I like your style and your honesty! All good about not mentioning it in the video, just trying to figure out if this is the right edc for me and that was something that came to mind. I've heard people say the Hellcat Pro is "snappy" or feels like a .40, have you shot that model and would you say this is noticably less snappy than that with the integrated comp?
@@bbllrstv13 I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the channel! And yes, I’d say the Hellcat is on the snappier side. Especially compared to this. If you are looking for a micro EDC I recommend anything in the P365 family as my top choice. Otherwise, I recommend an M&P 2.0 Compact or Glock 19 if you can conceal something a bit bigger. Based on all of the testing I’ve done, that’s my safe “blanket” recommendation. Great timing for EDC-hunting with Black Friday coming up 😅👍
@@NightwoodGuns yeah I really like the p365xl size as my ideal smaller EDC but I've had a bad experience with Sig unfortunately. So I'm looking for an optics ready alternative in the slimline category (not necessarily the micro 9s). I already have a couple compacts which is why I was looking for a slimline EDC.
@@bbllrstv13 Yeah, there are some things I don’t touch from Sig… And I’ve also had a bad experience with their customer service. Have you looked at the Shield Plus? It’s a great shooter, I just recommend vetting it for reliability and watching the trigger pin to make sure it doesn’t walk out. It’s my favorite “shooting” slimline on the market. Just have to make sure you get a “good one” 😅
I had several rock islands before my YT days. They are 50/50 hit or miss and have less parts compatibility than competitors. Might have to get another for review.
Jist a nit pick but it's a Dagger Micro not a Micro Dagger. I installed a Dagger Micro slide on a SCT lower and it has a great look, but it does not like the Dagger Micro magazines. Glock OEM magazines work very well.
I'm always skeptical of reviews where the gun was provided by the manufacturer. Not because I don't trust the reviewer, but because the manufacturers typically cherry pick the guns being sent for review. The funny thing is, even a lot of those cherry picked guns still have problems, so you know the guns the average consumer end up with are even lower quality, right off the assembly line.
Lol re2 is the only reason I'm looking to buy a hk vp70 lol. But first I gotta get a sight for my shield or buy both and beg for forgiveness from my wife
@@thepubliceye I assure you, PSA would not take the time to “accurize” a 350 dollar budget pistol. They can’t keep up with production as is. Heck, I even said in the review that the iron sights were off from the factory.
Great review Brett! Glad you enjoyed it.

Hey Brett, I’m pretty sure I see brass deflecting off of your optic. Just a heads up to keep an eye on that
I saw that while editing as well. Made it 1k without issues, though. I’ll continue to keep an eye on it 👍
review the springfield hellcat
I’m pretty sure that’s the last notable “micro” carry gun I haven’t reviewed yet 👍 It’s on the list
@@NightwoodGuns what would be your first choice for a Duty gun $1200 less?
@@CBrown42991 S&W M&P 2.0 w/ Apex trigger and Apex barrel, Glock 45 with a Radian Ramjet Afterburner, Beretta M9A4, Walther PDP, HK VP9 would probably be my top picks in that price range 👍
Great review 💯 but I have a question! what glasses are those you have on at the range, the gold ones?
Pit Vipers 😎👍
Could you make videos of shooting longer distances on iron targets?
I’m working on getting steel targets, yes 👍
Hell yeah I was waiting for this video
😎👍
Despite the quirks, PSA is punching way above its price bracket with this one. With high value options like this available, I just can't comprehend how SCCY and FMK are still around... 😬
SCCY and FMK have become culture guns 😂
would love to see a review of tier one APX holster!
😂 😂 😂 😂 The hi point won me over! Hilarious
😅👍
Has nightwood guns done a tti combat review?
Not yet. Canik… doesn’t like me anymore 😅 So it’ll be on my own dime.
@@NightwoodGuns thanks for replying, I really enjoy your content
@@NightwoodGuns Hey Man, thanks for getting back to me. Much appreciated!!!!
I recently got my hands on a Glock Performance Trigger and paired it with an NP3 coated minus connector. 2.9lb trigger pull. With a train with purpose trigger shoe. P E A K 😮💨 great review per usual bro 🫡
😮💨 Very nice! Sounds awesome!
My standard Dagger micro is nothing but problems. 200 rounds and now it can't run a full mag. It doesn't Eject the empty case and feeds the next round.
Yikes. Have you reached out to PSA?
I wrap all my grips and rifle mags in goon tape it's good stuff
It gets the job done 👍
Please a review of CZ Shadow 2 Compact. It is a EDC?.
congrats, young man, on getting over 100k..very well done
..i don’t encourage poking the bear, but keep checking “out” ..good on ya
😂👍 Thanks, I appreciate it!
How’s the micro held up since the initial review?
Good looking gun 👌🤞
😎👍
How did it perform to Sig p365 macro?
Macro shoots a little better because there’s more grip to hold on to 👍
Nice review
Is there a noticeable performance gain using a full size dot (like the SRO) compared to smaller window dots (like ones that fit on the dagger micro)?
I shoot both very well, but I’ll take the full size dot when I can 👍
Also in the micro dagger….
I died 😂☠️
Instant comment and like for the algorithm 👊💪Looking forward to the review
Much appreciated 😎👍
You like EPS Carry over the SCS Carry?
So you recommend slide serration on micro guns like this?
I recommend slide serrations on all semi auto pistols.
That never gets old,,,😂😂blow back blast from the past!
Absolutely 😎👍
Handled one today did a short Vid Brett NICE I want to T&E one now @MattPSA This is the stuff Glock SHOULD be doing. Matt besides YT I do Armed Security stuff...If I get a certain new job that issues G19s I need something like this off duty etc.
Any FTFs? I have had issues from Day 1. FLF every 250 rounds or so. I thought it was the optic set screw contacting the extractor spring, but it is not.
He’s a Paid actor
No malfunctions through 1k for me. Again, I’m a sample of one and it was sent to me by PSA. Thanks for sharing your experience 👍 Have you reached out to PSA?
@@losoway4505 My integrity is not worth a budget gun sent to the channel for review. I have plenty of guns, I don’t need any more 😂
@@NightwoodGuns Not yet. The tension on the extractor seems a little light to me, so I think I will try replacing it with an OEM Glock extractor plunger first, run another 1000 rounds through it before escalating it further. Thanks for the reply! BTW... Got me the TAC PRO 4.25 this afternoon!
Very nice! Congrats on the Tac Pro! 🙌
Very entertaining, nightwood veiwer out
@@ApolinarSwart 😅👍 Glad you enjoyed
Great vid. Let the reddit haters keep hating as you pump out great content

Great Stuff 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
😎👍
Please review a Grandpower. Youre the only guntuber l trust 😢
I’ve got a long list, but the Grandpower is on it 😅
My Christmas Special this year since it almost killed Santa and I've done a vid the smallest striker one.
The hi-point gag = still funny
😅👍
Would replacing the iron sites resolve the issue with the stock sites? I had the same issue on my micro.
Depends on what sights you are switching to. I’d just drift the current rear sight, personally.
3:20 Now we know why you're so buff. Doing some Hi-Point curls.
Hi-Point curls will give you that sleeper-build 🤣
You should have left the stock trigger in for review!
Probably 😅 I was just too excited about the 4311
What trigger is that?
@@sweetmusick9 Johnny Glock 4311 trigger 👍
Youre the only reviewer l trust. Please review a Rock Island 😢
I had several rock islands before my YT days. They are 50/50 hit or miss and have less parts compatibility than competitors. Might have to get another for review.
I still love my Glocks
The gold standard 👍
Prosecutors are loving names like “dagger” and “hellcat”
I have a Ruger LCP “Zombie Slayer” they would love 😅
Good vid.
But damn that micro dagger looks huge in your hands.
@@b0lobattali0n78 Good comment.
But damn that observation makes you look super gay.
Yeah, Imma say it's fused.
If anything, it sounds worth it!

@@NightwoodGuns I tried looking for this handgun.
Any ideas on where to find them?
@@riiddisbuk2496 They are working diligently to make more 😅 As per the usual with things I like… it can be hard to find…
@@NightwoodGuns Quite 😭📝
Jist a nit pick but it's a Dagger Micro not a Micro Dagger. I installed a Dagger Micro slide on a SCT lower and it has a great look, but it does not like the Dagger Micro magazines. Glock OEM magazines work very well.
Potato/Tomato 😂 Yep, it’s definitely Dagger Micro. But it’s like Warlord vs Lord of War: I prefer it my way 😅
@@NightwoodGuns Yes, Micro Dagger seems more natural and fluid. Just about every video I've watched has someone say it backwards so you're not alone 😄
@@BlueBeretFirearms Exactly. I’ve even seen PSA call it the Micro Dagger 😅👍
oh, nice hi-point.
😎👍
Do you get to keep it for a review
@@thepubliceye yep, yet another gun to toss in my pile of guns
Something special about that goon tape 🤔
😅👍
I'm always skeptical of reviews where the gun was provided by the manufacturer. Not because I don't trust the reviewer, but because the manufacturers typically cherry pick the guns being sent for review. The funny thing is, even a lot of those cherry picked guns still have problems, so you know the guns the average consumer end up with are even lower quality, right off the assembly line.
That’s exactly why I disclosed it in the video. 👍 It’s important context to have.
If you were using 2 different sights red dot and then irons and they are off. That would tell me that the math on that isn't mathing
There’s certainly some anti-math sorcery at play 🤔
YEET!!!! YYYYYEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!
🤣👍

I knew it was sent wasnt no corny budget pistol line in the caption 💀
How Does this Affordable Budget PSA Dagger Micro Perform? CHEAPER AND BETTER THAN GLOCK?!?
But does it take Glock mags 😉

Or they have one accurized just for a review.
@@thepubliceye I assure you, PSA would not take the time to “accurize” a 350 dollar budget pistol. They can’t keep up with production as is. Heck, I even said in the review that the iron sights were off from the factory.
