Nobody worries about gil in Horizon. If they need gil, they just go print gil with clamming like everyone else does. I'd rather clam for an hour or two to buy a month's supply of these for inventory space than carry 10 extra tool types for the 3 times a year they're needed, outside of sneak/invis. These tools are for space saving, not for ele-wheel usage. They are used for the rare time you need to debuff something or for sneak/invis with a single tool. RDM debuffs are more potent than NIN and using the ele-wheel is just a severely gimped BLM. The only content that wheel is used is where you don't want to be engaged with dual wield because it feeds too much TP to the mob and you end up using a staff instead (Vrtra, Tiamat, Nidhogg, etc.) In exp parties, crabs are one of the few things that come to mind where it is good to use it but even then, you'll get far better results using Acid Bolts to remove its +DEF buff and nothing can remove its +Magic DEF buff until later in the game. If I recall correctly, NIN used swords in exp parties until somewhere around 50 back in pre-WoTG era too until you unlock Jin. Or maybe it was sword main and katana offhand.
As a crafter of the tool here’s the deal, as long as vendor shuffles exist for ninja tools and prices remain high this tool will never be useful. This tool is only useful as a space saver, if tsurara is cheaper to cast than the Omni tool it’s never better. The average price per cast of each type of tool would need to be equal to or lower than the Omni tool cast.
Im not sure if its going to go down in price. I think its more or less you pay for the space convenience. In retail it was sold from a vendor for 13,500 gil and im not sure if you could ever craft the bags. But yeah its super expensive lol
Aww I miss this game! Started playing it way back in 02. I remember seeing it in a mag right before I was to move back to NY, and as a huge FF fan I was so excited. Ninja was my main, loved tanking on it too lol. Blue Mage, Red Mage, Bard and White Mage were also my top jobs. In 2010 we (entire LS) moved over to FFXIV 1.0, then moved right into 2.0 and still playing today lol. When redesigning the main character for the game I am working on, I decided to make him somewhat after my Red Mage from XI, combined with my Bard from XI, and Gunbreaker from XIV LOL. (space opera/sci-fi type).
Nice! I play both ffxi and ffxiv, although I don't really play ffxiv as much because it's kinda in a dead spot atm for me anyways. I still get on there and play some pvp on warrior or ninja occasionally though! But I have all jobs at 90 and all content done up until the last couple of big patches. I get tired of constantly replacing my gear on ffxiv though so that kinda drains my will to play it as frequently outside of pvp lol.
@@BrixyXI I wish I could get back into XI, I really like how XI handled the gear/weapons, more so. I actually just logged on, to do a bit of things before the huge update next week ^_^
So leveling a craft or let’s say gold wood alchemy smithing cooking. Doesn’t deserve to profit off their time? And also you’re paying for space. Saving 5 spaces is worth it. IMO.
If that extra 5 space is truly killing you then you can do a gobbie bag quest for like 10k to get 5 extra inventory permanently. If you have done all the gobbie bag quest and still feel like you need that 5 extra space vs saving 45k then throw some stuff in your mog wardrobes or stop being a horder. It's not about crafters making a profit, it's about saving a huge amount of money by simply using an alternative that's available.
That's the main reason why I ended up picking ninja over paladin. I wanted to tank, but I'm taru and I didn't want to deal with low hp on paladin. We already have 2 taru paladins in the linkshell already also lol.
Ninja is more or less abandonware. Nin/drk should be very strong in endgame due to the /nin nerf but its a setup that almost nobody understands so people still would rather pld/nin everything.
Yep. Most people that level ninja is typically for subjob only and utsusemi their way to 37. Which is fine and understandable lol. Once I hit the 37-40 range ninja got much stronger with the extra layer of shadows and the bump up to Ni nukes. It's just getting to that point that really sucks.
@@BrixyXI yea. I played nin in era and it was always a good time. Maybe if you have rapore with your ls, they'll let you nin/drk some serious stuff. Although being taru, the max HP situation is tough. Much easier to get 2k+ HP on other races. And I think nin overall has lower HP than pld.

wasn't there an npc in port bastok that sell these? i thought that was only way to get em. didn't know they were crafted as well.
NPC doesn't sell them on horizon. It's crafted only as far as I know.

Ino was never craftable on retail as far as I remember. It's a custom craft here on Horizon.

NIN has always been expensive but so fun to play lol Keep up the videos sir!!
The tool types aside, you only get 99, so using ino is still a loss... its a cast by cast basis...

I really want to play Ninja, but it's so expensive to play. My LS needs more tanks and we have 2 PLDs already T_T

Yeah total ripoff. Shurikens when they fix the bags could be good.
I definitely avoid Elemental Ninja's Tools, I only buy those for Utsusemi (Course) , Kurayami and Hojo cause they are "Ni" very usefull! 😊
