    Nice video bud. Not too much narration on the how to or why to but still picked up some good trapping knowledge. Thanks bud. Nice job.

    Those Belisle`s do a good job on Beaver. The Sauvageau LPDQ does an even better job. Canadians really know how to build traps. The Sauvageau and Belisle are the Rolls Royce, and Bentley of body grip traps.

    These damned pests ruined my pond, dug holes in a dike and decreased water level almost drying it. That's weird because they usually increase water level and build dams. I trapped 1 pest so far but there are probably lot of them

      @@canadiantrapper2702 do you do this for a living ?

    • @canadiantrapper2702
      @canadiantrapper2702  3 года назад

      @@aardhond Yes its my business on the side. I do nuisance work under my business and I also hold a Govt district, controlling beavers that are flooding roads, culverts and bridges. Plus Im involved I the provincial rabies program so I get calls for strange acting animals, which are later turned in for necropsy to determine if they have rabies or not.

      @@canadiantrapper2702 aha so your like me than 2.0 lol i trap muskrat & nutria’s for a living and use terriers hunting foxes as semi prof hobby ,,, but give me a few years and i van grow into bever trapping cuz they re introduced here in the Netherlands and way to good protected so they are every where even in the city of gouda .

    Very disturbing. Beavers can be destructive yes, but they are in general very good for the eco system. Unless a kill is for consumption they could have been caught using a more humane trap and simply relocate them.

    • @canadiantrapper2702
      @canadiantrapper2702  Год назад

      The trap I used is an approved trap and kills very quickly. Sorry it disturbed you, you shouldn’t have watched. Far as relocating them they destroy a lot of property, they have become overrun and are a nuisance when it’s your land being destroyed. Relocating them so they are now someone else’s problem? Far as consumption the whole animal is used. I sell the fur to the auction as well as castors. The carcass is used for bait.
