It's awesome you take them boys with you while trapping.
Kids need to be outside and gaining knowledge.
Can't wait until both them boys can set a beaver trap on their own and we can watch it on video.
I bet it won't be long.
    Be blessed

I once upon a time did some summer beaver trapping for a man with a lot of beaver damage. I found I did not like a single thing about it. Walking through the field grass to get to the location, found I was covered with ticks, about 25 or 30. Caught the adults, and caught the kits, that part really sucked. The little guys could barely pull the trap into deep water. The fur on the adults wasn`t worth anything, and to me, it was a huge waste. I didn`t do any more summer trapping, but stuck to my Winter trapping. Those damage control guys can have it, the ticks, snakes, mosquitos, heat, and young kits.

I've got some nuisance beavers in my pond. But not dam builders, dam destroyers. They ripped off the dam, dug lot of holes in it and completely drained the pond, decreasing water level instead of increasing it.

Hi, my husband watches, not me. I'm not into the hunting and trapping, but I do understand what you're doing and why. Your videos are very entertaining. Lots of fun, great energy. I see what you're doing as more like pest control. People wouldn't have as much upset if you were killing a nest of cockroaches, brown recluse spiders, or a hive of Africanized bees. But the animals you're dealing with become like that when out of control, they just have the potential to feed hungry people and the roaches, of course, don't. From my point of view, what could be a little off-putting to some people, even me if I dwell on it, is you giggling like a giddy school girl when you're doing what you're doing. It can give those of us who are sensitive to animal life the impression that you're deriving some sick, twisted, psychotic thrill from the killing of an innocent life. But, I thought about it and I don't think that's exactly the case. I think you're just enjoying your job. Taking pleasure in the fact that you are doing a service for people who are being adversely affected by the damages and dangers some of these invasive species can cause. And enjoying the fact that you are your own boss, basically. I think we'd all do well to remember Ecclesiastes... there is a time for every purpose under the sun. It's true, really true. It may not always be the most pleasant thing. Sometimes, it feels heartbreaking, but it's a necessary part of life. There has to be a balance. In order for there to be balance, sometimes things or people live and sometimes they die. Hopefully in an honorable and righteous way. And if you have to work, you might as enjoy it.

This is really grotesque. Drowning animals that are trying to keep predators out of their homes? Laughing at them for trying to keep predators from eating their kits? Maybe he got knocked in the head.
