    I have hard time making BLtouch working correctly with this firmware that I have on my Kossel and there is only one Firmware available now(others are deleted?) and it last firmware Auto level support is totally absent. There is some other solution like using simple micro switch for auto level. I might try that but I already lost 10 hours of work trying to make BL Touch working with this motherboard and I did't have success. Personally I think that AutoLevel is not MUST to have for this DELTA to be honest. Am using it for months now and I calibrate it only twice. BTW if somebody have working firmware codes (right measures) and if wish to share here in comments that would be great otherwise its to much hustle and its not worth it.

      @RobertSzasz 6 лет назад

      If you are still interested I can push my working version to GitHub and link to it in a comment. I haven't found autoleveling worthwhile, after manually adjusting things , all that is needed is a bed height check.

      I loved this video and i have been saving it for a long time and i actually just got my printer but i need help with it. I cant level it correctly and i need someone to help me by contacting me.

    • @RobertSzasz
      @RobertSzasz 6 лет назад

      Moon Light it's a bit tricky as you have a bunch of different things that can be tweaked. Start by making sure the end stops are the same height from the bed, I used three identical spacers between the top braces and my limit switches after making the three top plastic braces level with the end of the vertical extrusion.
      Adjust the screws on the top of the carriages so they all are the same distance from the top when homed.
      Then you can start leveling (with a Delta it's a bit more than just "leveling" as there are curvature corrections)
      I used the test print and instructions at www.thingiverse.com/thing:745523

    very nice to see you upgrade this printer. i have made the motor covers and am working on dual extrusion with a prometheus hotend. the bed clips are really great, but i am looking for/trying to design manual bed leveling as well.
    that said, could you please talk us through the install and firmware changes of the BL Touch as well please? might be a better solution.

    So that's what those planetary gears are for? I thought the were just a 3d printing gimmick to show off in place 3d printing which is neat too.

    Are you going to add any cross bracing between the uprights to help reduce or eliminate possible twisting of the unit? Are you also planning to add the springs between the pairs of arms that hold the hot-end? Is there much risk of vibration of the unit by having the weight of the spool on the top of the unit as it gets turned while the filament is being fed to the hot-end?

    will the bed clips work with a heated bed? being pla etc - possibly make them 3mm higher???? love the top mounted spool holder, been bouncing this around in my head for a couple of weeks now, cool to see it done. good vid, cheers heaps

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  7 лет назад +1

      Well If you have heat-bed on your delta then you might want to print this clips in ABS. PLA will melt on high temps. So ABS here is better solution but not the best. ASA is better solution.

    What screw and nuts were needed for the top spool holder?

  • @ArrtusMusic
    @ArrtusMusic 7 лет назад

    You should have scaled that top piece so it's long enough for it to not need the extra 3 pieces since you're using 1 nut and bolt on each side anyway.

    Hello! Some days ago I asked you about some 3d printers and the last weekend I decided to buy the Anycubic Kossel Delta!
    Thanks a lot, this upgrade you made, excited me to bought it.
    Just one question..
    Do you thinks that the prints can be better if I add walls of acrylic and add some fans?

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  7 лет назад

      Hi! Cool! You welcome am glad you like my video. You mean to make some kind of enclosure to print ABS? Fans? Nope You don't need any more cooling. This printer has very good fan and duct nozzle.

  • @vatterger

    What do you think of the new Creality Ender-4? A ~250€ CoreXY (faster than any prusa, slower than deltas) with Ultimaker style bed, seems like a perfect fit for a review on your channel. I'm building a corexy printer from scratch right now, but this one would be something i would look into instead, if I hadn't started my build some time ago.

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  7 лет назад +1

      Yeah actually! Well price is good and It looks pretty nice as well. Just in between Delta and coreXY. Could be good choose. I try to get one for review.
      BTW i think first upgrade on this one will be adding V rails on other side of heat bed to support Z carriage :) Keeping whole Z carrige in middle air don't see like ''strong' solution. But that's just my quick look ;)

    • @vatterger
      @vatterger 7 лет назад

      Yeah i never understood that choice of bed design... It's cheaper, but you need to build it so much more rigid just to keep it from wobbling.

  • @ramzinho4985
    @ramzinho4985 7 лет назад

    @Nexi, won't the bed holder warp and get flimsy due to being PLA and the bed heating up? just a thought. I think you should print it in ABS to avoid the change in its size or it warping.

    • @collinshanks6344
      @collinshanks6344 7 лет назад +2

      I don't think there is a heated bed on this printer

    I'm having a difficult time with the auto level, I'm using a microswitch. It auto levels fine but it doesn't seem to use the values it probed, I guess I need to spend some more time on it.

    How do you get such good prints without a heated bed??

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  7 лет назад +4

      You don' need any heat to get nice prints :) Only good settings and perfect leveled bed ;)

    • @JF32304
      @JF32304 5 лет назад

      It's true you don't need a heated bed. Once the first layer is down and sticking to the bed, no more need for the bed to be heated. Its not doing anything to the continued layers on the piece.

    What would you recommend upgrading to print with nylon?

    • @NexiTech

      Dalton Sessumes Well, The Hot end can go to 260 Degrades so you only need powersupply and Silicon round heater(to install under glass) or new aluminum round heated bed. Firmware already has support for heated bed and there is port on motherboard. That's it.
