So many great books! I love that you give to little free libraries. I have my own LFL in the front of our house. I try to put all my unhauls in there and I always add seasonal items, candy and toys or trinkets for kiddos to grab. I live in a historic neighborhood and people are always walking by and checking out my library, makes me smile 😊
That's a wonderful thing you do for your neighborhood, it makes you smile and makes others smile. I want to visit your little library now in a historical neighborhood.. sounds like a beautiful dream! I mentioned a Little Library here in out neighborhood but we have several and Dan didn't love the idea... I just treat the ones here like they are my own lol. Thank you so much for sharing Robby!
Little Free Libraries are just the BEST thing. There are so many in my urban area that I have several routes I routinely follow every 6 months or so. And I always have 1-2 tote bags full of giveaway books in the trunk of my car in case I happen upon one in my travels. They started in St. Paul, Minnesota, where I was born and raised, so I'm proud of that.
If you haven't gotten rid of your favorite kitchen cover book🤔? I think you should put it in a zip lock bag and hang it inside a kitchen cabinet door. It's out of the way but still brings you joy.
I'm with you on the PAIN of letting go of beautiful covers- I mean that one with the kitchen oh my goodness, gorgeous! But you've tried them and it's time to move ahead to even great books that suit you best.
I've gotten to the point where I don't have any physical books. I mainly read cozy mysteries and the mass market paperbacks are getting so hard for me to read (eye wise). I'm loving audiobooks. The first 7 Nancy Drew books narrated by Laura Linney are fantastic. Also, there is a You Tube channel called Penelope Heaven that narrates a lot of the Nancy Drew books and I love her narration as well. I adore the Cat in the Stacks series and the spin off Southern Ladies and highly recommend it.
Your earrings!!! 💚I read Where Are The Children, and it was good! The Clue of the Broken Locket has a gorgeous cover. That's a huge and amazing decluttering goal :D
Greetings, Sonia. I remember when Mary Higgins Clark books were all the rage. My mom read them, my mom's sister read them, and then I read them. I have no idea what happened to all of those books. Your hair looks fantastic and I always love those earrings, too. Those hardcover Nancy Drew books are going to make someone very happy, but I'm 100% behind your decision to let them go. I think you're doing the right thing there. Ooh, Mary Oliver is a favorite of mine as well. I like your mindset that, if the book is at your library, it really doesn't need to be on your shelf as well. You've done a very good job with this unhaul.
I love that you noticed the earrings! They're a bit of a signature, I think! Thank you for sharing your memories of Mary Stewart and how could you not love Mary Oliver? Lol thanks so much for your kindness!
It's always a fight with I don't want to let them go but I am starting to feel cluttered and it's causing me stress. Also, knowing others will love them makes me feel a little better.
Good luck with your goals! When I worked at Walmart it always hurt my soul to have to rip the cover off and throw away the book when they didn’t sale. So it’s good to hear that the books won’t end up in the bin.
Thank you Mitzi! It is really a great way to save space and support the library. It is hard though too, but knowing they are safe and accessable helps. Good Luck friend!
Even though I am a book hoarder, I also recently decided to let go of my Penderwicks books. They are very sweet books that I think you would love. But I've read the whole series twice, so off to eBay they go! ❤
I just did a big unhaul. I love passing books on and I find it to be so freeing . I can read what I really want to read without the pressure of feeling like I need to read books I'm not interested in!
I hope LizzieFaye snags your Laia book! Lol LFL are the best! My daughter started one as a Girl Scout project and it has really motivated me to let go of books since I’m the Steward to it until she turns 18.
I love that you made this video, and I have to confess I am a book hoarder!🥺😭I'm not kidding. My husband built me a 'Wall" bookcase and lets just say it was already full before he built it! I would love to be able to (Un-haul), but not really sure where to start? I would send you a picture of my book case to show you just how bad I/ it is (just let me know where) Thanks again for all your video's 💜📚💜P.S. What are doing with all the books your Un-hauling? I saw a few I would love to get (Hark the Herald Angles Slay) I am a always Christmas so would love it. I go threw times when I feel overwhelmed, and have done this with other things (kitchen things, and clothes) Sorry for going on, but thank you again
It is so hard to unhaul, I always feel sad about letting go, but it really makes me feel better. I always start small, a book shelf or a drawer. When we first started really focusing on decluttering, we started with a drawer. I also had to change my mindset. My space is just as valuable as stuff so I have to decide which one is the most valuable to me. It takes time and Grace. I plan to either donate to a little library, take to my local book store, or sell them on my Pangoshop. Thank you so much and good luck with your journey!

Great idea, I will try that, it is a great one!

Agreed, thank it for it's time and pass it on to someone else who may love it.

That’s great to hear about the Nancy Drew audiobooks - I’ll have to check those out! Thank you so much Cat for all of the suggestions!

Thank you so much friend! You know I love me some bookish earrings! I love the Nancy Drew covers! 💖💖💖

The Nancy Drew books! I would have a hard time parting with those.
Oh and the vintage ones! 🤩
Your better at letting go than me lol.
It's always a fight with I don't want to let them go but I am starting to feel cluttered and it's causing me stress. Also, knowing others will love them makes me feel a little better.

Oh my yes, I think that would shatter me. I can't stand the thought of books being thrown away, someone will always appreciate them. Thank you :) 💖💖💖
You’re getting so snazzy with your editing… that little Pango logo popup was perfect! 🎉
I had an awesome teacher :)
Great job unhauling! I need to do this, too! I'm going to go through some and see if my library has them- what a great way to save on shelf space.
Thank you Mitzi! It is really a great way to save space and support the library. It is hard though too, but knowing they are safe and accessable helps. Good Luck friend!
Ooo I would love for you to share more of your decluttering journey if you want to share it!
I might just do that in a future video! It would motivate me to stay on it. Thank so much!
I always UNHAUL to little libraries 😊
I love that!
Even though I am a book hoarder, I also recently decided to let go of my Penderwicks books. They are very sweet books that I think you would love. But I've read the whole series twice, so off to eBay they go! ❤
That’s a great idea! I have had them on my list forever, with so many other books LOL... the complaint of a book lover.
I just did a big unhaul. I love passing books on and I find it to be so freeing . I can read what I really want to read without the pressure of feeling like I need to read books I'm not interested in!
That's the best feeling! You're free to read the books you truly love. Thank you!!
I hope LizzieFaye snags your Laia book! Lol
LFL are the best! My daughter started one as a Girl Scout project and it has really motivated me to let go of books since I’m the Steward to it until she turns 18.
I originally bought it for her for our bookish besties exchange, but I saw she had it already. What a fun project!!
@ lol that’s so funny
I am sure that those who find these books will love them.
I may need to unhaul some books as well.
It feels good to pass them on. Thank you Cousin.
@Soniawithani I agree. Will be doing the same when I work out the books I will be unhauling
