Happy Anniversary!! 🎉 My reading goals are to read slower and take more notes while I am reading. I am starting that with just writing the quotes I like. I also generally have a word of the year, but I have struggled to find the right word. After listening to that passage, I think my word might be family. In general, I need to slow down and not try to do all the things all the time. I need to do less things and make more time for family stuff, like playing card games with my kids, walking around the block or on nature trails with my husband and kids. I think family might be the right word for this year. Thank you for helping me find my word.

Congratulations on one year! I do like to make TBR because it helps me stay focused on the goals I have, but I usually have only about 3-4 definite books in a month, and the rest are just a big ol' pile of possibilities that I mood read through. Since I read 8-12 in a month, that works out to be a nice balance for me.
I am always down for a Wizard of Oz video. I think Oz fans would like it too especially with all the Wicked love going around right now. I totally need to open a Pango too- clear out some of my books 😂☃️

Cat in the Stacks is one of my favorite cozy mystery series. There is also a spin off series called Southern Ladies that focuses on the Ducote Sisters. It's fantastic too. The Family Skeleton series is also a favorite series of mine. Sid is the best! My bookish goals in 2025 are reading the latest books in cozy mystery series that I enjoy and continuing my cozy mystery blog - Cozy Mystery Cat. I'm focusing on the things I love and enjoy. I'm also a mood reader and love to listen to cozy mysteries on audiobook. I love the idea of collecting memories and experiences. That reminds me of a non-fiction book I read last year called Keep the Memories, Lose the Things by Matt Paxton where he says it's not about the things as much as the story behind the things.
