At 4.33 there is something unique, wonderfull, special about driving a Mercedes-Benz, especially these oldtimer classics. The way the car handles, the steering, well balanced hugging the road, the engine hum and the general layout of the dash and controls. Pure magic!☘
E85 test kit time :-) Ethanol test kits are pretty simple and reusable plus the good ones will show as little as 5% contamination for under $50 from Amazon. Have a good one mate!
@@tony66au are you suggesting our fuel retailers may be undertaking dishonest practices? E10 is legally supposed to be clearly marked. Its not sold anywhere where I buy fuel over here. But would not surprise me.
@@MMWA-DAVE Bulk liquid Tankers will import Fuel one trip and something else another trip out of Indonesia for instance we had issues with silicone oil contamination in Vic a while ago and bulk hydrocarbon fluid another time so the onus is on the shippers so the Fuel retailers have clean hands. I know Shell is quite strict on this stuff but Mobil not so much :-)
Wow, this A124 is really in like new condition, just look at how black the anodized trim around the windows still looks, hasn't faded into the typical goldish colour yet. This car must have spent most of its life inside the garage.
Just for my knowledge: what is up with your gasoline in down under? I got only one leaky pump package in the past on a 260 with the dual-pumps. One. The other 6-7 mercs I look after had no issues on that front. ಠಿ_ಠ
We used to have a refinery locally in my state which supplied all of the higher quality fuels sold locally. This is no longer in existence and we are now fully reliant on imports from asia. I cant say with any authority on the matter as I dont work in the industry but I suspect its now of a significantly lower quality than we used to get. Our crap fuel has killed my enthusiasm for KE-jet cars, I cant take too many more issues before I walk away completely. Though that is probably the governments intention anyway.
@@MMWA-DAVEjust like here in Germany. Everything should be electric. But people can't afford these cars and from an environmental or climate point of view it is just as questionable. but it is controlled by our politics. sad...
