Hell yea man, what a great way to enjoy my evening. So blessed to have watched him play growing up. If only my parents were more into Blazers games back in those 80s and 90s teams with Drexler, holy smokes that would have been the most amazing experience of my life. That and being inside and on top of the twin towers in NYC would have been unreal too
I saw this interview a while ago and was laughing when dude took a cigar out of the box he gifted Mike. MJ wasn't having it lmao. Dude also wouldn't pass Mike the cigar cutter. A hilarious moment.
MJ’s influence and impact is just out of this world, his hanes commercial made a lot people wear white shirts all the time, it’s my go to casual dress up in the 90s!😂
@ yep! I’m mostly impressed. He is built different, he’s a dude, he’s a 6’6 ex galaxy class athlete. He’s at least smoking in a day what I smoked in a week and my lungs couldn’t do it. I’m almost a foot shorter and my fitness varies a lot but damn that’s a huge difference. That being said, he’s Michael damn Jordan, enjoy what you enjoy! I’m just gonna say it… I felt the same way about Tiger, but I typically feel it’s 50/50 or better guys like that have a “don’t get caught in public” agreement with their partners. I’ll leave it their. I love that Jordan came out of retirement after drinking tons of whiskey and smoking copious cigars to play at high level including as a 40 y/o. :P
If any of you are/were real MJ fans, give this 2017 interview a watch. Snippets have aired before, but not the entirety of a great interview. It tells you so much about him, not just another Bulls video; it’s really comprehensive and enjoyable.
MJ telling him that he couldn’t smoke the cigar because he was asking him too many questions gave me a good laugh. I wasn’t watching this, but was listening to it. I was like damn, Mike’s doing a lot of talking. How is he also smoking his cigar? Then 5 minutes later he hit him with that haha.
My sorority sisters and I ate at the restaurant in Grand Central Station back in the day. It was beautiful. The food was very good and of high quality. It was very expensive. The whole experience was fantastic.
I've met a lot of famous people between basketball when I was younger and also from working in hospitality. Ive never met or seen Jordan other than going to one of his games. Surprisingly, Joe Montana's personality reminds me of Jordan in this interview. Very humble, very down to earth, and very well-spoken. When I waited on him, he treated me and all the staff with the utmost respect. Two others that Ive waited on multiple times that are also very famous and seem to be genuinely good people in real life were Hulk Hogan an Sorena Williams. I've probably meet Hogan 10 or 15 times. Nice polite guy and good tipper. I've met a bunch of famous people multiple times. Chad "Ochocinko" Johnson was the worst back in Cincinnati. He didn't tip at all. The servers would argue over who had to wait on him. Nobody wanted to do it.
@TheRealMindCrime Sometimes he would tip $1 to $5 if the server was lucky, but that was on checks that were $100 to $200. The servers had to tip out 3% of sales to the bar, busser, and hostess, so the servers actually lost money waiting on him. That was back when he first came to the Bengals. Hopefully he's improved by now.
What I get from the restaurant story is super dope to me. Being MJ meant he couldn't go to a restaurant for food drinks and a good time without being harassed by fans. So he bought restaurants where he can go and not have those issues. His story should be inspiring for the hard work, tireless efforts to keep improving and sacrifices of things people take for granted like privacy. The most inspirational aspect of it all is the fact that he is living, and able to example the rewards that come all he went through to reach the success he had. Personally, I know I've watched "Come Fly With Me' more times than I can count for inspiration to keep pushing through hard times or to motivate me to go after something. I've been wrongly labeled"arrogant" in the past and had to explain that what they perceived as arrogance was simply extreme confidence born from past accomplishments in areas of doubt in the past. It developed into certainty that I would be amongst the best in every new endeavor because I was aways willing to get better. Co workers thoughts it was to make them look bad, but it was actually me constantly thinking about addressing any flaws. I was only competing with myself.
It's time for a 24 hour basketball channel solely dedicated to the basketball career of Mr. Michael Jordan. In it's entirety. I'm talking college arrival, to Washington Wizards exit. Every game, and all things in between. Michael Jordan. In rotation. 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. Who wouldn't watch? It's time.
MJ literally said he was the goat without saying it. If it's the way you impact the game... nobody impacted the game the way he did. Nobody is as iconic as he is. His name is the standard of excellence no matter what field you're in to be the Michael jordan "of". He is the reason why players today get these ridiculous contracts...shoe deals. All that said he was the greatest basketball player most people ever seen. He was coachable... he listened to his parents advice. He wasnt afraid to fail. Just all those things that make up a legend he was! This man's love for basketball paved the way and opened up opportunities for players today and the media Will bash him to promote a lie about lebron...its crazy.
15:20 this calls back to Kenny Smiths interview in the Mark Jacksons podcast, where Kenny said how fundamental MJ was. Where college coaches are better at teaching (and he had Dean Smith). So, go to the Minors (G league?) and polish yourself.
Him Bringing Roberto Clemente name up is huge. If you like baseball and knows the history. Clemente is a reason a lot of Latino players play. was also known as the Great One and not just a nickname either
Not like I want to but as long as Jordan doesn’t find competition in who he can outlive and just live a normal age till he transcends in the next life, I’m sure we are going to hear countless stories from ppl about what he has done for them that would blow our mind.
Impacting the consumer with the Jordan brand I bet he would think differently if the league was a lot better how much he would pay more attention to getting better players Jordan brand can impact much further
21:34 Pippen is a sad case, because he signed that seven-year contract knowing that guaranteed money was precious, and he had that rough upbringing where both his dad and one of his brothers were invalids, but then he lost his money for bad decisions he made as an adult. I mean, he knew when he signed that 7/18 deal that $18M was enough to guarantee good life for his people, but then he lost the reins. Now he has to trash MJ to sell books. It’s sad, and it is exactly what MJ is talking about here.
I can see now, as MJ holds that cigar, that his hands are freakishly large. I'm 57 from Chicago and was there from the beginning of his career. Now I see why he could catch the ball out if the air, with one hand, come down and go right up and hit a jumper. You can also see how his playing career deformed his fingers.
28 minutes to get a drink? Reprehensible! The service at this establishment is deplorable. Or, maybe they had to curate the ice cubes? A fine cigar must enjoy a perfect brandy.
Players who made over 2 million should never go broke. You're right. The league should set up a network of financial advisors for these players. You think the players would have collectively bargained for that.
square cigars were popular at one time also known as "box cut" it was the makers way to use smaller packaging and to create a look that would be different. I have always wanted to know what your channel symbol meant or said.
your comments are always the best! You make me laught alone as an idiot. You use to say, in better word, exaclty what I'm thinking! (I'm Italian, sorry for the errors. I can´t write good in english)
Hey did you ever watch that Jordan mini movie, can't remember what it was called, probably air jordan or something, with Ben Affleck playing as Phil Knight? I haven't done my research on it, and I'm curious if Joran had any input and/if he see it
Oh yeah i loved it! Such a great movie for fans like us. Jordan had a lot of input in it and even casted the woman who ok played his mom. Ben and Matt said MJ just wanted to make sure the story was legit and honest
It’s because of MJ and that movie I only wear Jordan. Gotta admit Nike was king when I played cuz of Mike, even though I had a shoe deal to wear Converse
Not a big fan of Jeter. I've crossed paths with him, he won't say it outloud but opposite of MJ very conceited, very smug. The guy even walks with a strut to me like he's the greatest thing ever created. He's always been quiet in the public eye because if he opened his mouth it would show his true reputation, he's always biting his lip. Jordan has a good head on his shoulders from how and where he was raised. Great video I haven't seen anything about this, I couldn't believe this was 7-8 years ago.
Yeah he really did. There's footage of him watching Kobe shaq Lakers vs the Pippen Blazers with his finger all wrapped up while hanging with Jack N at the game lol.
1:10:53 I read somewhere, that MJ make the decision to unseal that footage after 2016's "That made the greatest player of all time" dumb take. The explanation was something like they asked him for years, and he was adamant, but after 2016 everything was set in motion 🤷♂
Yeah, but most of the interviews were done in 2018 according to David Aldridge, that COVID-19 situation was "happy" coincidence for the documentary, tbh. They were pushing him for the footage done during 19998 to be released for that many years, not the documentary itself, he finally agreed around 2016, and they started filming. Now, maybe it's coincidence, but I don't believe so 🤷♂
Thanks!

But I loved what you said cuz I was thinking the same thing! Smoking giving MJ a dry mouth ...come on now. 😂
😆 🤣 😂
Hell yea man, what a great way to enjoy my evening. So blessed to have watched him play growing up. If only my parents were more into Blazers games back in those 80s and 90s teams with Drexler, holy smokes that would have been the most amazing experience of my life. That and being inside and on top of the twin towers in NYC would have been unreal too
I know! I wish too that my dad took us to more games as a kid. We only went to a couple and that was when i was very young
I saw this interview a while ago and was laughing when dude took a cigar out of the box he gifted Mike. MJ wasn't having it lmao. Dude also wouldn't pass Mike the cigar cutter. A hilarious moment.
Yeah i liked that. Mjs like "i can do it myself" 😆 these two were funny together
MJ’s influence and impact is just out of this world, his hanes commercial made a lot people wear white shirts all the time, it’s my go to casual dress up in the 90s!😂
Heck back then i even got Rayovak Renewal(spelled wrong probably) rechargable batteries and charger because of MJ lol
@ the “I want to be like Mike!” is pretty much set in stone back in the 90s haha
Yeah there was a lot in there I didn't see the First time years ago. Classic uncut interview. Flawless. Fun. Simply Michael Jordan like always...🍿🍿🍿👀
🙏
Happy new year bro
Happy new year!
6 cigars a day!? Wowsers. 3 a week gave me a cough. And they were small.
Yeah turns out MJ is little cigar addict lol. Could be a lot worse
😆 🤣 😂 yeah drunk smoked up Wizards MJ schooling young bucks is classic. I can smoke certain things but cigars wreck me
If any of you are/were real MJ fans, give this 2017 interview a watch. Snippets have aired before, but not the entirety of a great interview. It tells you so much about him, not just another Bulls video; it’s really comprehensive and enjoyable.
thanks Elizabeth!
Hahahaha. Yeah these two together were hilarious
MJ is amazing!!!
Interesting that Jordan called it “The Last Dance” years before it came out.
Yup. Thats because Phil called that season the last dance once they said he'd get fired even if they went 82-0
its ironic that he's answer to GOAT question just makes him more of a GOAT lol
It really does. Its why I respect him. If he kept calling himself the goat like someone else we know then it wouldn't really sit right with me
Michael never had to toot his own horn. I’m probably biased, but if you don’t think MJ is the GOAT then you just don’t think.
My sorority sisters and I ate at the restaurant in Grand Central Station back in the day. It was beautiful. The food was very good and of high quality. It was very expensive. The whole experience was fantastic.
Wow!! I really wanted to do it but couldn't afford it back then. I'm really glad you got that experience
Oh nooo...yeah Ocho always talks about saving money but not tipping at all is just messed up...
Oh that's really bad....
Michael Jordan has his flaws within his vices but clearly his character is deep, admirable, and inspiring. I want to be like Mike.
Well said!
It's time.
I'd watch that!
@TheRealMindCrime all day, everyday. Even at work! 😄
"you know you took care of me"
"You know I would"
He really values friendship. Just don't betray him
exactly lol
Pre Castro Are The before embargo cigars
Ahhhhh
☝️
I no longer drink alcohol. But I do smoke cigars on occasion. I even have Cuban's. I think I'll light one up with my morning coffee.
Oh what a perfect way to watch this vid
MJ being respectful, but in his heart, he knows he the GOAT lol
I bet he does lol
MJ is the man.
Da 🐐
this is gold!
15:20 this calls back to Kenny Smiths interview in the Mark Jacksons podcast, where Kenny said how fundamental MJ was. Where college coaches are better at teaching (and he had Dean Smith). So, go to the Minors (G league?) and polish yourself.
I totally agree
Very revealing when he said, "I remember WE won (in '91).
MJ is such a G salute to him
Agreed. He's like a mob boss here lol
His bent finger in this video always trips me out. Also you really get to see the size of his hands
Yeah you can clearly see how messed up his finger is here
Those hands plus a 48” vertical, along with that incredible will to win, made him the GOAT. Nobody else had all 3 of those attributes
MJ 🐐🐐🐐🐐💯💯💯💯
☝️
@ 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Bro, Tiger Woods Golf '05 is the best golf game ever made!
Seriously lol. I can't tell ya how much TW golf i used to play after work back then
I understand money is the reward for making you great, how many these guys consider ability of runners. The world loves it own.
And we also know MJ didn't help LeBron, guess why 😂
😆
Why?...Kobe won 5 learning from Jordan and not joining Superteams...
Him Bringing Roberto Clemente name up is huge. If you like baseball and knows the history. Clemente is a reason a lot of Latino players play. was also known as the Great One and not just a nickname either
Oh yeah i remember him! Sure i have a few of his cards somewhere here
This is so fn cool man 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed this one. This was something I wanted to watch with you all for a long time
Not like I want to but as long as Jordan doesn’t find competition in who he can outlive and just live a normal age till he transcends in the next life, I’m sure we are going to hear countless stories from ppl about what he has done for them that would blow our mind.
i totally agree
I’ve heard one of those stories and yeah, MJ is a good human
Impacting the consumer with the Jordan brand I bet he would think differently if the league was a lot better how much he would pay more attention to getting better players Jordan brand can impact much further
i totally agree!
Yup. All the while Pippen earned more in the nba than mj did but mj was good with his money
U Can't tell me MJ HASN'T FIRED UP A BLUNT BEFORE 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I'm sure he has. He definitely likes his liquor and cigars
No need to do so, GOAT!
🐐
I can see now, as MJ holds that cigar, that his hands are freakishly large. I'm 57 from Chicago and was there from the beginning of his career. Now I see why he could catch the ball out if the air, with one hand, come down and go right up and hit a jumper. You can also see how his playing career deformed his fingers.
Happy new year everyone
Happy new year!
They Also Say that Jeter Night Life was Legendary!!! 💡
28 minutes to get a drink? Reprehensible! The service at this establishment is deplorable. Or, maybe they had to curate the ice cubes? A fine cigar must enjoy a perfect brandy.
true true lol. I still say prepare it for MJ so he doesn't have to ask
Players who made over 2 million should never go broke. You're right. The league should set up a network of financial advisors for these players. You think the players would have collectively bargained for that.
I know. Im always shocked when i hear it happen
square cigars were popular at one time also known as "box cut" it was the makers way to use smaller packaging and to create a look that would be different. I have always wanted to know what your channel symbol meant or said.
Oh wow thats very interesting. Thanks for the info! The symbol says Dragon which is part of my name
I forget which year it was, but i remember MJ waving the green flag to start a Daytona 500.
Must've been a great moment for MJ
Yeah knowing how important it is to him now that really must've been a special moment for him
Knowing Jordan first love was racing cars and not basketball is 🤯
your comments are always the best! You make me laught alone as an idiot. You use to say, in better word, exaclty what I'm thinking! (I'm Italian, sorry for the errors. I can´t write good in english)
Oh you did great writing in english here! Thank you so much!
Hey did you ever watch that Jordan mini movie, can't remember what it was called, probably air jordan or something, with Ben Affleck playing as Phil Knight? I haven't done my research on it, and I'm curious if Joran had any input and/if he see it
Called "air" lol of course it is
Here's a clip of it, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in 'Air' about Jordan
ruclips.net/video/dYRKLJf9QsE/видео.html
Oh yeah i loved it! Such a great movie for fans like us. Jordan had a lot of input in it and even casted the woman who ok played his mom. Ben and Matt said MJ just wanted to make sure the story was legit and honest
It’s because of MJ and that movie I only wear Jordan. Gotta admit Nike was king when I played cuz of Mike, even though I had a shoe deal to wear Converse
No country for old men is what comes to mind to me when i see old NBA legends speak nowadays
I like it!
Great video I haven't seen anything about this, I couldn't believe this was 7-8 years ago.
oh I'm glad you enjoyed it! I had no idea about Jeter cuz I've only seen him in the public eye.
Also does Michael have “Michael” in little white writing on his shirt lmao like anyone would not know who he is haha
Lol maybe
Does anyone know how Mikes index finger on his right hand got messed up? I don’t think I ever realized it
After he retired in 98 he messed it up with a cigar cutter
No way! He sure did a number to it
Yeah he really did. There's footage of him watching Kobe shaq Lakers vs the Pippen Blazers with his finger all wrapped up while hanging with Jack N at the game lol.
I’m gonna have to find that
5:25 probably *NOT* Pippen’s Bourbon….
😆
1:10:53 I read somewhere, that MJ make the decision to unseal that footage after 2016's "That made the greatest player of all time" dumb take. The explanation was something like they asked him for years, and he was adamant, but after 2016 everything was set in motion 🤷♂
I heard that too but i thought that was just rumors and never confirmed. I trust what MJ says here about it.
Now, maybe it's coincidence, but I don't believe so 🤷♂
Can’t believe you never seen this
I have once. Many years ago when it first dropped
