My tahoe actually liked the box closer to the hatch. Metered better. Just couldnt play lower than 28hz. Metered best 4 inches from the hatch.

In my Tahoe I have sub up (inverted) and port firing to passenger side corner. Less rear door flap, more output on drivers side

Ok on space between port and loading wall I've been told 4 inches is general rule of thumb. Does that increase with larger ports? About to drop 4 18s in my CRV and don't want loading issues.
That's a good looking box I don't know about the stacked 5 plywood layers with This box I like looks good need to be colored than clear 👍🏽🧐how much amps is pulling out

I actually have a system very similar to this I just watched the other video of this guy yesterday and was hyping my self up cause I got two fi ssdv3 15s with recones to 1500w rms got them on a 3 and I’m playing down to 20hz and moving hella wind more than this but man wish I had a RUclipsr come to the last bass meet up in bay city man

Subs I recall are rated 1,500rms and they got all of the rated plus so did good 👍🔊

Port up for me it sounds better the bass is more clear and you don’t have to hear all that rattling the back door doesn’t flex hard you here more bass then rattling!
Box looks way to small
Wish fi wouldnt had dropped so many of theyre diffrent models esp ferrite they dont even offer the team series subs on theyre website nor any of the bdls
Wrong wood for box. Loosing 6 to 9db easy.

@@money5599 use only MDF. Everything else is is porous 🧽 and leaks air like crazy. It might feels solid what you are using but its not. Use 3/4 inch or bigger. On the top lid where the woofers sit i would double up 2 of the 3/4. MDF to make it a total of 1 1/2 inches thick. I promise that alone will gain you 6 to 9db with the same set up. Please update if you do. It will sound like you added a 3rd sub I promise
@@money5599 the wife and I used to compete. Took TX state champ a few time in the stock 600 watt class back in the early 2000s We averaged 159.5 db and we peaked once hitting 162.5. You box looks similar to ours only difference was the material we used MDF and instead of one long vertical port i had a square 12X12 port 10 inches deep. Good luck.

Depends on the vehicle but usually this is optimal output in an SUV
