How to EASILY FIX No Sound on PS4 and No Audio through TV Speakers (Fast Method!)

My PS4 doesn’t have a Primary Output Port option
I’ve tried unplugging everything, switching my hdmi cable to other ports and back, reset my settings, nothing works. On my audio output settings I went to
Audio Format and the only options are Linear PCM, Bitstream (Dolby) and Bitstream (Dts)
Then the other option is
HDMI Audio Output and that just shows 7.1ch and 5.1ch.
A lot of videos I’ve watched says there is an HDMI output option but it doesn’t show up on mine

The problem I have now is when I turn my system on I can’t hear the menu music or when I switch app it doesn’t make any noise or when I start up a game. Only time it ever make noise is if I’m adjusting the game sound controller. Other than that I tried restarting and default restore and it still doesn’t work

@@SlickFlickx I figured out my problem. It was the tv. The tv I was originally using when I made this comment was a smart tv and it was messing with my sound on my ps4 until I switched TVs .

It could also be the sound options on ur tv because I also have a smart tv and sometimes my sounds fucks up too so my first thought is to look at my audio options on my tv because that is sometimes what fucks up

@@alexanderjensen8245 I tried doing that the first time and my ex had a sound bar so I disconnected that from the tv and went to fixed the audio on that same tv. Nothing. Then I used my own tv and the sound worked

Fasho broo!!! It worked, i have a smart tv and i unplugged both ps4 and tv and the hdmi connection as well. Plugged both back in and boom it works! Thanks a million.

On the audio output settings, my tv only shows the Audio Format (priority) Linear PCM setting. It doesn't show an option for the Primary Output Port HDMI Out. It was going fine till 30 minutes to the end of this game
Update is that whatever the problem was, it later worked itself out and it wasn't a tv setting issue, but everything is fine now. Maybe there's some weird wiring issue in my house anyway since I have an xbox that likes to turn itself on and off all the time as well

i dont have "primary output setting" option.. just "audio format" setting... i change it to dolby.. and it works.. my tv start to make sound again

The best solution if you swap often between speakers and headphones is to have a second controller always plugged to monitor usb(no need for it to be original) and an extra sound only profile so you can just turn on the controller instead of going to the settings every time, also good if your monitor doesn't have an aux cable

After agonizing for like 48 hours I shifted my focus to the actual TV instead of the PS4. If you have a Sony TV, go into Settings and Device Preferences. Hit Restart. Acted like a hard reset. It fixed it. Finally.

Ok so my sound just went off randomly I didn't adjust any settings could not get any sound at all . Came here and done all these steps and it works now. The output device was set to headset but have no idea why as I never changed it. But thanks you helped me.
