Part 24: • Tony Yayo on Rappers w...
    Part 1: • Tony Yayo on Doing 22 ...
    --------
In this clip, DJ Vlad shares a clip with Tony Yayo, from a recent interview where Warren Sapp details exchanging contact information with Nas for the first time. When Warren reveals that his email address had the term "qb killer" in it, Nas (a native of Queensbridge) was highly offended until Warren provided clarity by stating that "qb" stood for quarterback. From there, Tony and DJ Vlad discuss some of their favorite songs from Nas' lengthy discography such as "N.Y. State of Mind," and his early work with Main Source. Moving along, the guys discuss 50 Cent's claim that Eminem's legacy is more influential in hip-hop that Jay-Z. A notion that Tony Yayo agrees with.

People debating that jay z had made a bigger impact just prove to me that they haven’t travel much in their life😂 Crazy how much lack of basic knowledge and awareness people have. Then if you want to debate that jay z is a better rapper, it’s an other debate which you totally have a right to believe that. Music taste is subjective, impact isn’t

In the “Mecca” of hip hop JayZ is him. Of course Eminem had a bigger impact worldwide he sold a billion records but none of here listen or care cause he white and makes music we don’t feel. 50 and Pac probably had a bigger impact too that’s more of a comparison but Eminem is with the pop acts. So lets keep it 1000, theres plenty of people throughout the world, who love hip hop culture, but dislike the black american people who invented the culture.
That is why eminem is the biggest selling hip hop artist of all time and on a worldwide scale; because when he came out, all the hip hop fans worldwide who tolerated the culture but didnt care for black people that much, finally had a TALENTED non-black “white messiah” rapper that they could latch on to.
This is why his music is more popular than Jay-Z on an international level; but on a local level when u go to actual hip hop clubs in the hoods where hip hop was invented……..aint no DJ playin no eminem song.
So before all u STANS out there attack me, yea eminem is very highly talented…….but everyone wanted to dress like jayz, wear their hat like jayz, buy platinum jewelry like jayz, learn how to rhyme without writing down lyrics like jayz, film music videos poppin bottles on yachts in the caribbean like jayz…….noone ever wanted to steal any of that swag from eminem

@@mikko3 so u think theres not 1 black person in africa, who dislikes black americans? Shit, i live in nyc, and i know plenty of dark skin latinos and west indians, who dont fuck with african-american people. But even if u counted his streams in africa, indias population alone has more STANS than the entire continent of Africa
And jayz definately DID invent some of that. I know biggie was wearin one in the juicy video, but Niggas in the hood wasnt really rockin football jersey and basketball jerseys as fashion til jayz did it. And then he killed that trend, and had everyone in the hood rockin baggy ass polo shirts😅. The ones he didnt invent, he definately was the person who popularized it in the hood.
Once again, Eminem is most definately talented; but hes the modern day Elvis. African americans invented rock n roll, but the genre didnt blow up til Elvis got a hold of it. Just like Eminem, Elvis hung out in african american clubs and bars. But if u watch one of Ray Charles interviews, he’ll tell u that african americans who still listened to rock n roll thought that elvis was just ok.
So even though he got skills, stop crowning eminem the king of hip hop, if the same people who invented the culture havent crowned him. Thats like saying someone is “the king of tacos, but mexicans dont fuck with ur shit”. Cut it out👎
