Hi finally my mission is accomplished. Started playing this deck for over 3mos. just so LDF could feature the deck. I'll give some insights on the particular card choices. To start of, the worst matchups for this are: Dialga, Lugia, Moon, Greninja, Dipplin, Arceus and United Wings. Then the other decks are pretty much good to excellent matchups eg. Charizard, Regidrago, Raging Bolt, Chien Pao, Gholdengo, Dragapult, Snorlax, Iron Thorns etc. One of the problems for the deck due to few basic pokemon is getting donk'd so previously I was using 1x cynthia's ambition + 3 prof research and eventually switched to carmine to dig for a buddy poffin or basics round1. Will give more insights tomorrow sorry.
Did you ever consider to play unfair stamp? The zone is often replaced by my opponents. Sometimes it survived 2 turns. The stamp gives you more hand disruption.
I’ve been playing this deck for a month or so. It’s fun and wins but not great. Was better when charizard was everywhere now it’s lack luster. Doesn’t do enough damage to win the long game. I do love this deck and look forward to always seeing it and making it better, it won a city league last week using assistance bell from next set and Salvador so that might help the deck a lot.
This deck absolutely blasted me up to Master League after the ladder last reset, after which point I kept getting manhandled by Dragapult, Terapagos, and Terapagos. Especially with dusklops everywhere, there's just a lot of good, upper-level players that can work around an item lock situation and quickly wipe out your board. It sure is fun as hell when it works though, just wish there was a more consistent way to win with this one.
The one who made the deck is one-straight genius. This might be the stall replacement for snorlax when the rotation kicks in, though the irida and other cards from Sword and shield will be gone next year
Glad you liked it sir. Thank you. Actually it's more of a control-lock deck than stall. It mostly KOs with froslass+munki+perplexing powder. So far I finished all my games with taking prizes and haven't experienced getting decking out my opponent or vice-versa.
Love playing this deck and have been using this list for about a week. Terrible win rate, slow start kills you, no draw engine and unreliable supporter draw means terrible games. Especially when facing turbo decks. But I keep coming back for more Veno shenanigans despite that.
Losses are mostly due to moons and lugias in tournaments. And the occasional brick and donks. But it's still well positioned. Crushes Regidrago and Raging Bolt. =)
Yesterday in Marowak's deck I put dodrios and damage bombs item, it worked too!! Thanks for the ideas but the best deck I made with your tips was machampvmax with dodrio nice!!
Nice deck, tried a similar one twice at my weekly in the past and got rekt both times. Maybe it's time for a 3rd try using that list. No draw support sounds scary though..
I started playing a few days ago, and I've just come across an opponent with a deck like this today!! I don't have many cards yet, so I'm still using the free decks that are provided to all players. It was a bit annoying at first, but in the end, I ended up winning with the free starter Charizard Ex Deck.. I think they might've been playing it wrong lol.
The meta really doesn’t respect disruption and control rn, so item lock and mill are kinda strong. People run thin resources, so discarding them with eri or sisters can lead to an auto-win

\_o_/ YO "Bro pulled up" is quickly becoming another of my favorite LDF-isms. Particularly when referring to Pokemon cards. But also, I've loved Venonat lists for a year now, I played the deck with Spidops for a bit. Wonder if there are any new cards that help that one.
Lana: grab back 3 Pokémon and/or Energy. Recover Munki with Dark, an entire Venomoth line… The new rock tool: if you gust up a Pokémon, increase their manual retreat cost.
I started playing PTCG one month and unrelated to any meta stuff ive gravitated towards froslass dori. Venomoth isnt really my speed, ive just been running ogidogi as a big body basic. Ive been trying to make H Samu Vstars ability with 2 dori's, but to no avail unfortunately. its so close to being great because the full art samu is on theme haha
@LittleDarkFury I guess my question is are these matches on ladder or casual? I would love to see more ladder matches if these are just casual, even if you lose, speaks to the validity of the deck more
You mean Salvatore? It's okay but it can only target venomoth. If you're gonna try it I suggest maxing it out to 4 copies. I like Arezu's pseudo-hyper aroma + deck thinning that's why I used her instead.
@@Eiranova I did mean Salvatore, my bad! I know it can only target Venomoth but I think that's fine since thats by far the thing you care about getting out early the most (getting an extra 20 damage out of froslass doesn't seem super good). I don't think you'd play it instead of arezu since I do agree that consistency is pretty potent, but maybe there's not another space for it? Thanks for the response!
Well, when you play this deck, you are not looking for prizes for sure, its just a stalling deck and, there is so many way that meta deck can obliterate this deck, for example, Raging Bolt can easily kill this deck in 3-4 turns since you do not really rely too much on item, since you have Ogerpon ability to draw cards and all you need is a few sada to end this deck's journey
This is such a grievous deck. Items are so fucking important and there's no way to remove the effect. I'm not sure how to deck build to counterclaim venonat.
However, the first attack was a missplay, I didn't consider the stadium. By the way I couldn't retreat Electrode because it was confused and I couldn't use any item. GG

holy shit you're the legend who has only played this deck to tournaments
really well done on doing so well with the same deck
I just took this and tweak some, long story short, i added shinx and luxio for the purpose of hitting moon and klawf. Try it. It might surprise u too.
Congrats on the top 8

lol I read that as "I put Doritos"
hahahahaha nice
I was also thinking about Dodrios instead of Bibs, are they really better in this deck?
@@arthuralexandermatveychuk974
Which deck? Machamp or marowak?
@@arthuralexandermatveychuk974
In both dodrio is very good
Rescue board with 30 hp or less makes them have no retreat cost, right? So with electrode V it was the same, wasn't it?
Yeah I got confused there, too. I think he misspoke.
Yeah, rescue board gives free retreat when below 30 HP. LDF seemed to think it has no retreat modifier at below 30.
I'd love to play this deck, but I'm saving credits for archaludon. Though this deck seems to have some sauce
Archaludon looks fun
Nice deck, tried a similar one twice at my weekly in the past and got rekt both times. Maybe it's time for a 3rd try using that list. No draw support sounds scary though..
They couldn't play unfair stamp because you were item locking them lol

If I wanted to play Area Zero and 4 Froslas, what’s a good Tera Pokémon to play?
munkidori + dusknoir: cursed blast that can put 13 dmg counters is perfect

I would play a luxray as attacker because 90 damage isn't that much

Sad you didn't play against actual meta decks...
Well rest assured this deck beats Charizard even going second. Also crushes Regidrago and Raging Bolt.
Is terapogos meta?
I mean klawf electrode nearly won a regionals a week or two ago.
I have to record a ton of videos for when im away this week in louisville so i didnt have endless hours to record and find the perfect matchups

I wonder if Sebastian is a good include in this deck to get the turn 1 going second item lock

Against the Ninja he couldn't play stamp he was item locked xD
excellent. Enjoyed this deck very much.
what's the point of manaphy? doesn't it just get knocked by froslass? same with munkidori but at least has some mitigation,,,
Surely the next video will be tortera ex😅
Finally mu fun deck got coverage here... fun deck.
can u play swim freely neut zone
What do you think will be the Irida replacement once the format rotates?
We'll have to see what new cards will be popping up to replace her.
Arven
@@LittleDarkFury i was playing a set of arven + 1 roseanne's backup plus survival brace before neutralization zone got released
@@LittleDarkFury Makes sense. I guess the water mon isn't a big deal. A bummer for decks that liked to play Arven + Irida, tho.

Sadly yup
"Check this anti meta deck, guys!"
Does not play against any meta decks.

Ah. I played againts this in casual. But instead of venamoth, its gengar.
I really hate the stupid stadium, this deck reminds me of the toxic Yugioh decks that prevents you to play

unfair stamp is an item so they cannot use anyways
