The best kind of feedback!!!! I really want to make Pokemon TCG content that's more engaging and digestible, even if you don't play the game heaps yourself!
Unironically the best format iv'e seen for live play games. Its less annoying for the opponent, because you aren't recording literally everything they do, and the camera isn't taking up half of your thinking during play, i.e. where do you put the cards so they're more visible, do you stack your discard or fan them, is the opponent in view, am I filming the background, etc. I think the worst part of it is needing to remember each play, or taking notes for the voiceover, but it overall seems easier and better for the viewer. Props, for real.
I 100% had the viewer first in mind when trying this format!! So I genuinely love to hear that you enjoyed it - I'm thinking of having a more static setup so I don't miss any interesting board states, but will definitely keep the same post game breakdown!
Might be interesting to run Collapsed Stadium instead of Area Zero, that way you can drop attackers without needing to make your bench so wide, plus you have a counter to terapagos
I like being able to discard multiple Pokemon at once and it's not quite as flashy - but it could be a solid inclusion since it's 100% quicker and more reliable
Getting into pokemon tcg and seeing the visual aids and explanations really help me understand whats going on compared to spectating at my LCS. Hope to see more soon 🙏
I enjoy this type of video! The in-depth decklist explanation was great and ive never seen anyone do the mid-match pics and tourney game breakdowns before very cool. Subscribed ;)
Absolutely loved this video, the editing, explanations and how fun and creative the deck was is super entertaining and makes things easy to follow as someone who doesn't know much about the card game.
Awesome idea! Makes me think that 1 glass trumpet could be a nice tech in united wings while ditto's in format. Could help the deck work in next rotation too, by building up flamigos without double colorless.
@timdanklin Sometimes you used the other pokemon to attack, it would boost them. But with ditto he's used just to get cards you need in the discard for ditto
is good format. looks well edited, like the little guys on the background to show the decks. lot more engaging than the PTCGL videos plastered all over youtube, like to see a real human and real cards.
I have an expanded deck which uses Ditto and Spiritomb with Chain of Spirits, which does 10 plus 60 for each spiritomb in the discard. With all 4 spiritomb in the discard it's swinging for 250 damage for only 2 dark energy, and then the deck also utilizes Life Dew and Lana's fishing rod for even more degeneracy :)
Love your videos, I'm still riding high on your Well Spring/Greninja deck. Your theory crafting is like no other, can't wait to see the next thing you cook up!
as someone who's mostly a yugioh player but dabbles in pokemon casually with friends, ive never understood the low energy counts in 60 card decks. is like eight basic energy and no special energy really enough to keep a game cooking? my intuition when i was building a couple casual pokedecks was to put in like 12 basic and 4 special energy so i can reliably power the mons i draw. i get that asking for a lesson like this from a high level player in a comment is a bit arrogant of me but ive never seen an explanation that fully makes sense to me and this deck seems REALLY low energy
It's a totally valid question!! Obviously every deck is different, and depending on what your game plan, and which attacks you plan on using, you'll need different energy counts But I think the main thing to consider, is how many outs to energy you have - for example in this deck you have 8 basic energy, but also, 3 Earthen Vessels, 3 Night stretchers and 4 Glass trumpets - which are all additional ways of finding energy!
@@timdanklin ohh, i see. night stretcher for energy handles the sustain and you can treat the other trainers like copies of energy in hand. i hadn't considered how similar an energy accelerator like glass trumpet or dark patch was to something like terraforming where you can consider it like, an additional copy of a card. thanks for the reply! i really hadn't considered energy acceleration cards as a way to boost consistency in addition to a way to simply power up fast.

I don't think Carmine is the best fit for this deck, since you can't really find it and don't need as much turn 1 draw, but I think squawk and precious carrier could be interesting!!

@@Hejfnfbejelnc you could also combo this with thorton because if you use the ability when placing the ursaluna you can immediately swap it with a discardedditto or raging bolt for a quick ko after attachment for turn and even a glass trumpet for higher damage output with the bench sniping bolt
Wait at 15:08 you say he uses Pecharunt to switch in Palafins. But Pecharunt can’t do that since it only works on dark types so your opponent just cheated
i agree, i think it could add a quick surprise to the game if your opponent isnt expecting you to swap the rad ninja or an extra hoothoot with a ditto for a quick KO, or even swap a bidoof for a hoothoot and evolve into noctowl that turn to guarantee the trainer cards you need
since he plays pal pad and uses cavern tackle to block incoming damage for a turn, the plan would be to KO, boss's orders, KO again, pall pad a boss back in, draw with bibarel or noctowl search, and boss KO for the final 2 prizes. 4 boss is too much especially for a list with so many 1-of's

Great video as always, just a quick question! There is a fighting type groudon from paradox rift that does 60 damage for each energy you discard from your pokemon, and goes up to 4 energy. Thanks mate!!!! Yeah I saw another comment mentioning that too, initially I thought 4 energy was a bit too much, but it's definitely worth testing more cause that 240 damage threshold is super relevant
You don't need any damage modifier. You just need magma purge groudon for 240 damage and stay as one prizer
I was a bit worried about needing 4 energy, but it definitely could be a better option, it has a slightly easier attack cost too, not needing specifically 3 fighting energy
And i think both baby bolt and bolt ex and doesn't rlly needed bcs :

2. As for stage2 ex's, hitting with bolt is not a reliable winning path bcs of 2 - 2 prize trade and we cannot consistently use raging bolt ex attack each turn
I'd play flutter mane + sada to help energy acceleration. 4 glass trumpet is definitely not enough

I haven't actually cooked up a final list, but the 60 that I ran at this tournament is still solid enough to take to your own locals!
Love, we’ll made video my man 👌🏽
Thanks mate, appreciate it!!
I think you should add slither wing 100% because you can attack with it not as ditto but as a fighting weakness attacker
That's a pretty interesting idea!! Hits some nice relevant weaknesses right now 👀
@@timdanklin yeah I also like bloodmoon urlasla or however you spell it the fighting 1 Pfizer
@@Hejfnfbejelnc you could also combo this with thorton because if you use the ability when placing the ursaluna you can immediately swap it with a discardedditto or raging bolt for a quick ko after attachment for turn and even a glass trumpet for higher damage output with the bench sniping bolt
Are you going to Sacramento regionals?
Unfortunately I won't be 😭
Isn't haxorusn better then ting lu 10 more and non basic? I might be missing smth though
Discards from ur deck
Needs a metal energy
Unfortunately Ditto can't copy evolution Pokemon
Can we get a proper deck list in the description so we can copy and paste on tcg live? Thank you
It should be in the pinned comment!
Wait at 15:08 you say he uses Pecharunt to switch in Palafins. But Pecharunt can’t do that since it only works on dark types so your opponent just cheated
They switch the Weavile in, and then retreat into Palafin to reset it's ability to attack
You really need Thorton in this deck
i agree, i think it could add a quick surprise to the game if your opponent isnt expecting you to swap the rad ninja or an extra hoothoot with a ditto for a quick KO, or even swap a bidoof for a hoothoot and evolve into noctowl that turn to guarantee the trainer cards you need
I find it hard to believe this was a sanctioned tourney with you having a ditto proxy in your deck. Lol
Judges are allowed to provide proxies in cases where cards are damaged
can you attach a copy and paste list?

@@Skillsftwlol thank you so much!
lol he already had it in the comments i just didn’t read 🤣
were you playing in a bo1 format?
Yeah most challenges I've played are Bo1 - everything else is usually Bo3
All the spice
3/3 bibarel is craaaaaazy
Gotta draw cards!!
Should include a kyurem in this deck
I love the idea of Kyurem in Ditto, but it wouldn't work in this deck, since I'd need to add in a bunch of water and metal energy for it
@@timdanklin I misunderstood the way ditto worked
Ditto can't use cavern tackle back to back as stated on the attack itself.
Yeah that's right, but you can cavern tackle and then use another attack, unlike Terrakion
Sick vid, I subbed so u wouldn't wiff.
Saved my terrible hand 🙏🙏
This vid was based, make more mr youtuber
That's the plan 🫡
Why 1 boss orders I would have max boss orders
since he plays pal pad and uses cavern tackle to block incoming damage for a turn, the plan would be to KO, boss's orders, KO again, pall pad a boss back in, draw with bibarel or noctowl search, and boss KO for the final 2 prizes. 4 boss is too much especially for a list with so many 1-of's
Moar tournaments plz :)
New tournament video coming in the next week 👀
Is thorton a missed opportunity or too clunky?
It sounds a little clunky, maybe not with Ditto, but maybe glass trumpet plus Thorton could work!
Tf!! Why did someone eat your ditto card!?!?!?
He got hungry!! Can't blame him tbh
Maybe playing a Sada trainer card
Ya'll playing bo1 for your challenges? 😮
Not for all, but yeah for this one!
Peso ball?
I think it could be definitely be strong! I was worried about it being difficult to find
You are at least a little bit funny
Never was interested in the actual pokemon game until this video 😂
Hope that you stay interested 👀
