I’m actually getting out of a creative rut because of your videos! Making my first 3D printed cosplay after going through a year long creative block, and your tutorials have been awesome. Outside of bigger inspiration like getting into a new hobby like 3D printing, I typically get through creative blocks by hanging talking with my friends. Tossing around ideas and jokes surprisingly breaks down a lot of barriers for me. Hope you power through your troubles soon, and I wish you the best, dude!

When ever I get creators block I tend to just stop for a while and try something new. ADHD can be both a superpower and a Curse.
I carry a small notebook and write down my ideas and whenever I’m bored/ blocked on one I read through it and then see what inspires me. Cosplay, cooking, woodworking, miniature painting, 3D modeling. Electronics, airsoft, I let my interest flow and direct me. I’ve spent the last month working on a custom mandalorian Cosplay but I have the pants needing a waist band for the past week.

@@lukeyboy1589 dude thank YOU so much :)) that honestly means more than you could know, I'm glad I can motivate you through some creative ruts. I know I turn to RUclips myself during these ruts and it does really help. Glad to hear you're having such a good time with 3D printing as well, it really is a lot of fun and always something new to learn!

@@james_snook SO smart with the little idea book! I've been doing something similar with Apple Notes and will create notes on pretty much any random thought I have ... I read Building a Second Brain a bit ago and it kinda changed my whole perspective on remembering things and getting new ideas for when I'm in a better space creatively. And boyyyyy do I hear you on the ADHD curse ... getting myself to just stop and take the break was so tough, I didn't think I would ever actually relax but after a few weeks I finally got into a good routine ... some days it's still tough to just let my brain wander and not commit to things, like I need to remind myself that what I'm doing in resting is also just as important as being productive.

@@vaultfoxtake your time, it took me almost 35 years before I finally realized how to harness my adhd and that was all without meds. Best thing I can say is we can do anything for 15 minutes no matter how unpleasant.

3d printing actually helps with my OCD. My will to create my dream cosplay distracts my mind

When I burn out I usually take a break as well. But another thing that sometimes works for me is taking on a small project unrelated to the one that's giving me trouble. An example being finding a small model of a figure I really like on cults, 3D printing it and painting it. For some reason the feeling of accomplishment even for something small refuels my passion for the hobby. Scratches that part of my brain that says "you gotta finish something" glad to see you're starting to figure out a healthier balance vault fox ❤

I just discovered you channel as I stepped back into Cosplay, after not doing it for almost a decade. Your sizing helmet guide has been a huge help for me in scaling my Heavy Gunner Mandalorian armor. What ever you decide I look forward to and wish you the best!

When I cosplay I crate my own character in the world of my chosen fandom so I can be completely creative and not be restricted.

Day in the life of a cosplay guru sounds like good content to me! When you travel for cosplay send an invite out to local fans and share what you want to without the barrier of a screen. Be careful of course but that could make it more meaningfully and personal for you and your fans. Connection is what makes life worth living.

Good to hear you are doing well! And def do not feel like making strictly cosplay content is your limit! For me, when I get into the mental rut of finishing something or making it to meet other people’s standards/expectations, I move whatever that is into a different room and leave it there for a few days. To me it separates the negative vibes from the object from a room that I like to associate with being my anti stress place. And sun, and enjoying the warm weather does wonders!
I gave up Instagram for a month and never looked back, it really put into perspective how much doom scrolling I was doing and I was able to sub that time in with getting outside, pursuing other non craft hobbies, or playing video games.

I feel like the problem is when you get a few dedicated subscribers, your content becomes part of their life and is potentially therapeutic to them and you feel a sense of responsibility to them. For me I was in the middle of getting ready for GalaxyCon Raleigh, and my daughter graduated high school, and she and her brother had their birthdays right after school got out, and my daughter had to register for college, and there's work...so yes, I get you.

Whether you are making tutorials or sharing your experience with anything in the end as long as you are happy that is all that matters. Plus I love the idea of making a "Variant" of a character that has not been seen before make it your own. Stay Happy, hope you can keep the high level of cheeriness you portray in your videos .

Hello, my name is Jeff. I have started my own little business called Papa's Design. I found you because I searched for a video on easily removing supports. I have just begun Tiktok. I am thinking about starting a RUclips channel. Is it worth it? I print and make statues of superheroes. I really love doing it. But I will have to learn to edit videos and start at the very beginning. But yes Is it worth it?
