Another more prominent lifetime I was a young Indian woman out west before there were horses. There's a handful more. I was a weird kid that could see ghosts and predict the future and scared the hell out of my parents.

No. It's totally up to you. Although, once you leave 3D Earth with this material body and are back in Spirit form, you see/know everything. Something like, "Oh, I see where I went wrong now. It's an easy fix. I can't believe I let it affect me so much. Send me back in! I got it this time!". From outside, Earth life seems so simple and we "forget". I like the ones whereby you can find the person they speak of, who are not easily looked up in history books, but need to be looked for.
The people claiming to be known historically are the ones that are interviewed and presented for public consumption. The ones that are of ordinary every-day people are not as well-known because they are thought to be less interesting to the public. They are also the most difficult to research since the records from centuries past usually only contain information about the wealthy and prominent people. There are literally many thousands of people who have past life recollections of being ordinary people, living mundane lives.
I've heard one expert in past life regression and reincarnation say that in the hundreds of cases he has studied over the years not one of them was from royalty, they were ordinary people. Here this story has more than one aristocratic past life.
Unfortunately, there are people that have faked past lives. They have researched in advance and presented it as a past life in order to gain renown or fame or money from a book/interview, etc. And that is what puts a taint and skepticism on any claim of a past life. Also, people with particular biases against reincarnation will never be convinced no matter what the evidence is. However, I agree with you that there is so much evidence in support of reincarnation that it is difficult to refute that it is a reality.

Should look into getting regressed. I've read many regressions who have birth marks who have history related to the birth marks.
