I love when bakers talk about the products they make and enjoy in their homes and just sound so proud and enthusiastic about them like some of these people did, it's so sweet
I really enjoyed watching this! Thank you Paul for bringing a bit of home to me too. I’m half Greek Cypriot, and lived in Cyprus for 23 years. I sometimes reminisce about the old traditions held, and the amazing bakeries and food from there too, and I make a lot of Cypriot dishes and bakes at home. The hospitality and way of life there has a whole other feel to it. It is very special 🙏🏼 ♥️ 🇨🇾
As a Cypriot. Feel like the newer generation is not keeping up with the old traditional way. I’m afraid it might be lost once our generation is long gone from this planet.
Mr. Paul, I just love the fact that I get to travel with you in the comfort of my own home! Such beauty, fabulous food, good people, amazing culture what else could I ask for!?!
Anyone else catch when the filo dough grazed the fridge door when being stretched out?! Lol, could you imagine what that man would be capable of working in a larger work space?? Absolutely incredible!! I LOVE City Bakes! 🥖 🍞 🥯
Gosh! I'm totally in love with this man! And for the longest time I wouldn't watch this because I KNEW I wouldn't like a show "starring" a man named Paul Hollywood!! I should never judge a book by it's title!!! 🤪
Paul I have been watching your baking world tour and words alone can not express how wonderful you and your tour has been ...... but as an amateur bread baker you are killing me, please please post some recipes, I'm dying here and my beautiful Wife thinks I'm crazy. We Love .
The one thing that drives me mad is seeing these lil bakeries with their own spiral mixer and the amount of saving and scrapping ive had to do to buy my own commercial spiral mixer is insane!
Ok, now I'm hungry. Very interesting, not only from a foodie perspective, but also from a historical perspective. Most of my genetic ancestry is from Italy, but I was surprised to learn that I had a small percentage of Cypriot DNA as well. I have never been to Cyprus, but this definitely makes me want to go even more. Great job!
I was expecting Paul to declare that batch of rolls in those opening credits were "bairnt"! I have to say he comes across as far warmer, kinder and more likeable than on Bake Off!
Omg! You took me to paradise for 46 minutes! I was in Cypress 27 years ago, and like you I got engaged there. I have to go back and try all these delicacies again....
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 Wow wow thanks for your comment on my youtube page . how are you?. I am interested in you. I will love to know more about you!
Paul, I can see why you love this island. What a great show this was to see the beautiful country, the sweet people and oh, the bakeries. To die for! Love it.

I love this program. Paul you are just brilliant. This take so much better than British bakeoff. Cant have enough of it. Any chance of coming over to Asia? Monica
Aww ... I didnt like seeing Paul eatin' his Pita, (late at night), all alone! Yet, somethin' tells me that our Paul - never truly eats alone🤭! 🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧 (Oots, I just noticed they drive on the wrong side of the road🤣!)
What you eat at MR. Greeks bakery is called BOUGATSA! You see this a lot in mainland Greece but the best you will ever eat in Greece is in a city called Katerini!!
Heading should say CYPRUS :) Not Cyrus :) Enjoyed this very much!! Thank You! I am SO GLAD You Love Paphos!!! My Favourite city and people as well :) Good choice :) This is SO MOVING hearing you say All these nice things about Cyprus and its people :) So Nice!!!

Mastica...similar to Mastic Gum right? I have so much catching up to do. I must write down those cheeses at 6 as well, any chance of spelling those out for me, please? Keep up the great travel videos Paul!!! Thank you!
Grandma just stood up and started ripping a song straight out of love and respect. What a lady!

Mr. Paul, I just love the fact that I get to travel with you in the comfort of my own home! Such beauty, fabulous food, good people, amazing culture what else could I ask for!?!
Incredible to see the milling, flour, bread making and baking that goes back four thousand years.
When Paul tastes something he loves, he has the look of the cat who drank the milk! Lovely to see.
I was amazed to see traditional bread making almost unchanged from ancient Egypt.
The name of where they were located di anyone catch it? When I go this is a must visit in real time experience
Hi from Greece-Cyprus... thanks for your love to our land

Those hands of yours Pauldjould be insured . Such a genius. Love all your shows .
Love how it's not just "oh look, the ol' mum's ruling the show". Nah, it's the final-level mom-mom. The ultimate mom.
Paul makes me smile, his unpolished way of presenting has a natural feel, and his passion is infectious. Unfortunately makes me hungry.more new shows m8
Gosh! I'm totally in love with this man! And for the longest time I wouldn't watch this because I KNEW I wouldn't like a show "starring" a man named Paul Hollywood!!
I should never judge a book by it's title!!! 🤪
I recognised Savvas and his mom maroula. They were my neighbours in Astoria NY. Maroula even babysat my children for a few weeks. Wish them the best.
This is just nostalgia for me! Whenever we go there if we get hungry at night, our grandparents just order souvlaki.

Some of these bake shops bring back memories (I’m from Silikou). I’m so happy there still there and still running.
This made me happy. Thank you.
Um, Yes ! Theos "Dough Work" (over his head to stretch" is verrrry Impressive : ) !!!
Could someone let me know where is this place where the lady bakes the bread in the stone oven? And where they are milling? Thank you!

The phyllo pulling technique is like making parotta aka pharata in India or roti canai in Malaysia

Can't you correct the typo in the video's title? It's Cyprus, not Cyrus.
I wish I was there with you, Paul, to enjoy all of them things that would be heavenly
Astonishing
luv the show but first time haven't found anything tasty in episode. Is it real? everything cinnamon, sesame or other strong flavour?
Love the show. Cyprus misspelled in title.
Cyprus. Nice Show.
For a moment I thought it was Anthony Bourdain in that last scene 😅
The typo in the heading caught me... Cyrus... where is that? haha
Yum!
Paul in his past life was a Cypriot, no doubt about it.
