Loved St Ives, really impressed with the Ouse in general. What impressed me the most in this vlog was that shot of the Tern diving for fish. Did you see the big fish he spooked. Debs made me laugh at the end 😂 xx

Hi been watching you two for a long time. We were caravanners, narrowboaters and now have a motorhome. We watched and supported you through your breast cancer journey and now can really identify with you. Last week I had a routine screening and was recalled. On Wednesday I have had biopsies and have to wait until 19th July for the results. Either way they are going to take it out......life sends its challenges and I just hope I can face it as bravely as you did!!!
I know exactly how you must be feeling ❤️.
I think we all deal with these situations differently, stay positive and laugh at every possibly opportunity.

Whoo hoo!! - 21:34 - that’s my white boat on the left!! She's a Freeman 22 Mk 2 built in Leicester in 1969. Today she passed her BSS safety so I’m very happy! Mrs Duck lives near that cut and she’s got 7 ducklings who are absolute terrors and constantly hungry! Also there’s an Egyptian Goose with a wonky leg who lives at the marina by St Ives lock and visits when there’s free food - we call her Cleopatra; she’s adorable and very tame. Happy adventures and might see you as we’re heading to the Bedford River Festival later in July.
Always pleases me when viewers get a glimpse of their boat. As you know we are always about 4 weeks behind our videos so we've done Bedford and have passed St Ives on the return journey

Mark and Debs love the vlog refering to the clip at St Ives Waits mooring the disabled mooring was installed a few years ago by the local council for the use of Ladybird Trust boat which facilitates River trips experience for People with Disabilities and special needs and for use by other boaters with disabilities to get off their boats but it seems as always things get abused and the boats it was designed for could not use this facility. As you went through the lock after nobles field I saw Ladybird coming down the Lock as you were waiting to go up. Hope you both are keeping well and please continue with good work

Good filming in some scenes. I noticed a very big fish swimming away from the diving bird. I dont think the bird vere going for that one, but only for the smaller ones.
As another viewer mentioned - your vlogs could be three houers long and we would still be watching them. You are just fantastic.

Another historical fact about St.Ives bridge is that the building built on it was, I believe, the old town gaol/prison. Something not historical is that when sister-in-law was young she used to call Huntingdon......Hunty-ding-dong 😄😄

Lovely video of my part of the world: interesting to see it from the water. Another interesting fact about the bridge at St Ives: it is one of only four bridges in England to have a chapel (the small building in the middle of the bridge) - the other towns being Wakefield, Rotherham and Bradford-on-Avon.

We are back home again now. But we will be leaving Westview marina. for good. And heading towards Ely. And right up to Northampton, where we join the Grand union. We will be sad to get off the River Ouse. I think we are in for a rude awakening with the amount of traffic on the cut. Anyway see you again soon hopefully.

Another great Vlog from you two (and dogs of course). If you were in Oz you'd have some fencing wire in your kit - an easy fix to the trolley with a bit of wire and a quick twist! Shame to crimp the terminals :) And Debbie as I hadn't noticed, I went back just to make sure the last arch was as you described it - Great bit of history, thanks!

Of course, women obviously don't have tools or bolts/screws/nuts/nails or glue or paint or bits of wood (turn a small bit of wood 90 degrees and apply Elmer's glue, that would fix your trolley in a heartbeat, or use a 90-degree screw diver bit). Women obviously don't have what a "man" would have in the way of tools and building/supply stuff. Right?

great vid as always. You did lose me for a bit, you had just pointed out the shallow long sloping sides of the river, went into a big auto button lock, and came out onto a 3 times wider section of the river. and started talking about the next up ahead thing. I stopped to go back to look for some kind of explanation of the big change in that river, after coming out of the lock. but still all, a big thumbs up. cheers
