Thank you so much for posting; as a lifelong fan I don't know how I managed to miss this on the BBC in 1983. This is by far the best interview I have seen of Bette's. All the others I've seen were from the many chat-shows she appeared on, but here she is able to reflect and take her time, rather than having to amuse a studio audience for ten minutes. This was thankfully made just in time, a few months before her stroke and her daughter's betrayal.

I thank god for actresses like Bette Davis, such a phenomenal actress, there no actress about like her nowadays well apart from Meryl Streep another fantastic actress, but there will never be another Bette Davis. I wish I had of been alive to go and watch all her movies in the theatre. Im so honoured to call myself a fan, my mum loves her too and told me so much about her and her movies, and I will do the same and tell my children all about her some day too. Bette forever and always

I loved the way she didnt mind playing a dumpy plain woman or someone’s mother. And the newspaper ad was genius

Not a bad documentary, but it ignored three of her more important films - "OF HUMAN BONDAGE", "THE LETTER" and "THE LITTLE FOXES".
