- Yes here it is...the embarrassing gropefest...for all of us to enjoy...over and over and over again. I can admit that I have watched this scene many times. My favorite part is when Pacey lifts Joey up and sits her on the table...hot. LOL Yes I am nuts.

As much as I loved Pacey with Andie, Pacey was always genuinely attracted to Joey. He had first developed a fondness for her in S1 (science project ep.) Any feelings he had were just on the back burner when he was with Andie. And if he was truly more in love with her, then he would've gotten over what happened while she was away and got back together with her. But he didn't.
Literally 10 episodes (in the show it was most likely a couple months later) after he broke up with her, he's realizing he's falling for Joey. So again, if she was really the love of his life, then anything he felt for Joey would've never come up to the surface the way it did. It just wouldn't have. If you truly are in love with someone, you don't get over them that quickly.
So the way I always saw it, Pacey was pining after Joey since the moment he told Dawson about how he felt. He just didn't act on any of those feelings again once he became committed to Andie and also out of respect for Dawson, since he knew that D&J were taking forever to see if there was anything there between them. And Pacey would always be encouraging the both of them to take that chance.
So anyways, imo, Pacey's love for Joey ran deeper. There were more sparks, it was more passionate, and she always made him feel alive. Vice versa. And again, even though it was all unknown to him until 1x10..and then again in S3, he had a likeness towards her for a long time. Also, Andie wasn't the only one that inspired him to want to be a better man and believe in himself. Joey brought out that side of him too. They both had that affect on him.
But if you ask me, I think (on a further note) being with Joey and loving her made him realize that he had a lot of growing up to do and that he needed to step out on his own two feet and desire to make something of himself. I believe loving Andie jump-started those things for him, but loving Joey is what made him actually take those things into action. That's what I think.
Andie was his first love. And she'd always mean something to him, but Joey...Joey was his true love; the love of his life. ❤
Pacey was always the one for her. So many examples but I can’t tell you all of them now.

He definitely never loved anybody quite like Joey. He just lights up around her and would legitimately do anything to make her happy. Even when he dates other people, she was always a fixture in his mind. He more or less admits this in season 6 when he tells her (while she’s drunk) that he couldn’t move on- “how could I? I mean look at you”. I genuinely don’t think he thought he had a chance with Joey’s childhood connection to Dawson running so deep, but he puts his heart on the line anyway. He waits and pines and builds a genuine connection to Joey that ended up meaning so much more to her than what she had with Dawson.
There is a LOT of chemistry between them! Josh and Katie did date but u can kinda tell they still had feelings 4 each other...I think. lol
Oh definately, it's obvious they were strongly attracted to each other even after they broke up in real life. It's nice how both Katie and Josh really supported the Pacey/Joey romance cause they both knew it was right for their characters on for the show.

It's not often that two actors can bring THAT much heat by just kissing. There's nothing sexual going on but their chemistry is so strong, them just kissing is very sensual. I also laugh by all that moaning those two were doing. Any surprise they dated in real life? Nope lol

I think they tried their best to do as little takes as possible given the fact that they had been broken up before season 3 started and it was very difficult on them both to shoot.

Before running your mouth and calling Dawson gay because he didn't grope Joey the way Pacey did, you need to realize that Dawson is someone who respects people and he is cautious in his approach. If he did grope Joey, he risked looking like a creep and a pervert and losing her. If a guy is good looking and he hugs a girl, then it is accepted by the girl and his hug is appreciated. But if a guy isn't good looking and he hugs a girl, then the girl accepts none of it and she becomes sexually harassed by the guy.
